I don't know if this is the correct forum to post in or not; I'm just trying to get the maximum exposure possible so as to hopefully get the best response or attention:
I know that for the Note II, you could take a T-Mo or AT&T branded device, flash the N7105 (Int'l LTE Note II) firmware, and then flash the AT&T/Rogers/T-Mo specific modem.bin, and you'd essentially have an International LTE Note II working in North America. This is what I currently have.
So, what I want to know is, can this be done for the Note 3 as well? I imagine you'd want to use the T-Mo Note 3 for its unlocked bootloader. Supposedly it has been confirmed that the T-Mo and AT&T Note 3 are identical as far as hardware is concerned (despite conflicting advertisements).
Has anybody thought of this yet?

No limitation. The only thing is when you setup device initially - the default language will be in the language of the device origin. I have a german DBT Note 4 myself - imported to Ireland. So on initial setup I'm greeted in German - so have to change to english.
Other than that you should have no problems. Likewise you will receive updates based on the territory you bought your device, so if the UK get lollipop OTA update - don't expect your own to get it at same time - you will get that when the update rolls out for the territory your device was originally bought in...
Unless you flash a clean new official rom and change your CSC. But familiarise yourself with the Note 4 before worrying about doing anything like that.
you'd only face the real limitations if you had a US SIM, as the European note 4 models come with a temporary region lock to discourage import.
since the UK is part of Europe, there shouldn't be a problem.

Hi,
I have a little information about Note 4 versions.
I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910a AT&T Unlocked phone. I wonder shall it work well in Middle east and Europe??
or there are something I can do to enhance the carrier performance.
thank you
Hi all, my main question is about the above phone that I purchased - unknowingly.
When I bought it, there was no inidcation that it was the G9287 (HK version of the phone) - it is however a dual sim model which is interesting but my main question is:
Whether there are problems associated with using a phone from a different country in the UK?? When I was purchasing the note 4 for my partner, I read about the inability to upgrade to the current android version or something similar - so that it would not be compatible with a VR set or something... will I encounter any problems similar to that if I chose to use this phone?
Any help will be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Ive used mine in Australia, Malaysia, London, France, Italy no issues at all... same model.....
Hwy guys I have a verizon note 4 and it is not root able at all. I have been wanting to stick with this great device but I miss root. I miss the freedom and capabilities it unlocked. I have been wondering which variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is permanently rootable ? Is it a different US carriers variant? Or an international one that has this ability? I appreciate the help guys, thanks in advance.
I have the SM-N910F (trltexx) aka. Qualcomm International version and I can do what I want with my device. Why do you Americans have seperate versions of a phone for every carrier and what are the differences? In the rest of the world, the carriers use a SIM-Lock. Since 2-3 months even SIM-Locks are forbidden in the EU.
