Hello.
I want to try Trinity kernel.
I'm now running Franco r189 with PA 3.99 RC.
How should I install Trinity?
1. Nandroid
2. Dirty flash your current rom (PA 3.99)
3. Flash trinity kernel

Looked up and saw that some people recommend wiping cache and dalvik before flashing kernel is this something I should do, I'm running MIUI 1.8.19 and want to flash a Tiamat Kernel

What's the best app for managing the kernel, so I can take full advantage of it?

Setcpu is pretty good if you're not using a rom with it built in (such as CM7)

First and foremost if your flashing anything always make a nandroid, you can never go wrong in that department. Wipe cache/dalvik 2x each (preferably with Amon_RA), Flash kernel, reboot... Rinse and repeat every time.
hi i'm stape and i'm new for this forum and i have this question.
i put on my nexus7 the trinity kernel but the tablet overheats on the retro, and i want to change to standard kernel.
how can i return to standard kernel??
thanks for the answers
What ROM? Or are you on Stock? If on Stock the way i can think of is finding an AOSP rom and flashing the boot.img? Should have made a nandroid before flashing. You could also try using Franco Kernel.. its just like stock and his app is great.
i have a cyanogen 11 and i have changed original kernel with the trinity kernel but i want returned to original kernel
how i can do it??

You should still have the zip correct? Just boot into recovery wipe cache and dalvik. And reflash the ROM and gapps. Reboot and you'll be running the stock kernel.

Hi,
I flashed PA 3.95 yesterday but I can't see some of the options that I saw on youtube.
Maybe I need to install something else or it just not in PA?
If I won't find the others options I'll flash other ROM so I want suggestions for a stable feature packed and fast ROM.
Thanks in advenced

What options? Most of the customisation options for PA can be found in the Hybrid settings where you can customise almost everything.

OK, thank's guys!
I'll play with the rom a little bit and search some options that I didn't see.
If eventually I'll decide to flash other ROM, which one do you suggest me?
Thanks

The buttons are there if you want to thank us..
I would suggest Slimbean 4.3 or wait for Carbon rom. Both are good.
Why not CM10.2 if you want a stable ROM?

If you are on 4.2.2 factory reset first otherwise skip this step.
rest is alright.. also flash the latest bootloader and radio from PA thread first post.. z20i is the latest bootloader and .84 is the latest radio.
very imp after flashing and wiping is done before rebooting FLASH SUPERSU V1.51 so that you wont have any root issues.. Done.

You can Flash MIUI rom if you are bored with the regular android looks.
Hi,
I am running AOSPA 3.98 and need to install franco Kernel. In the downloads for the kernel I see separate Gapps to be flashed. So why do I need to flash the PA Gapps first and then the ones with Kernel?
I basically don't get the idea, sorry for my ignorance
Oh come on, no one?

Flash ROM (assuming you wipe first), flash gapps and then kernel.. That's it.. Oh and use jwr kernel from Franco for PA..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
You can flash kernel before gapps. It doesn't matter. The ROM always goes first though.

No no, you don't have to flash a separate gapps if you have already flashed the PA Gapps. I think the gapps available for download from franco is for his own rom.
Thanks for the replies, I figured I was a total fool to consider them as mandatory to flash.
All I needed to do was flashing the zip
Nexus is stuck on Google logo when I flash it.
Here's the procedure I followed :
Flashed Matr1x cfs 10.5 (Not CM version)
Flashed mako_JSStoJWR zip
Reboot System and now stock on logo.
I already tried to fix permissions and clear dalvik+cache.
does someone have any idea what I could have possibly done wrong ?

You have to flash a JWR kernel. Matrix is only JSS.
PA is now based on JWR.
