So I followed the guide on how to root the Canadian model Note 3 N900W8 and SuperSU was installed to my app drawer, however I get the error message "Unfortunately SuperSU has stopped".
Not sure how to fix this, but I would really like to remove the bloatware pre-installed by my carrier Rogers.
Thanks
The first picture is your good ol knox blocking your software

I tried but it still doesn't seem to be working. Keep getting the same error that supersu has stopped.
Any idea how to uninsulated supersu?
I am only able to disable it but not uninstall. I've tried in the play store to uninstall but my only option is to open the app or enable it if it's disabled. Also tried getting uninstaller apps but they can't find supersu.
I've also tried going into twrp and manually deleting all the files in the supersu folder but when I reboot the app and everything is still there.
I'm thinking maybe an uninstall and reinstall might fix it. But I can't find an easy way to uninstall the app.
What a headache this is just to remove some carrier bookmarks.
Hey, have you found a a fix for this..i have the same issue on the SM-N900P

same here (GT-I9500)
Fix on T-Movile note 3
I found a small solution on another thread which is to use a file explorer, i used Astro since i was unable to do it with the stock file explorer, find the supersu zip, go in and click on "common" then click on supersu.apk and install it. That should fix the FC issues.
Now, the only problem i have with that is that supersu wont stick after a reboot and you have to do the same thing all over again. I have yet to find a solution for that.
i know this thread is old but it was the first post that popped up when i googled searched. Hopefully this helps out others having the same issue.
a great help indeed, it worked

Thank you!
i have a galaxy s4 gt-i9505 with 4.3 stock rom I9505VJUEMKE build JSS15J.I9505VJUEMKE kernel 3.4.0-2210919 and tried many things:
1) flashing CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.zip with odin does not work (tried many versions of odin);
2) kingo android root (android_root.exe) says my device is not suported;
3) read a little about daemon root;
4) flashed the supersu with a custom recovery rom (search from UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.85.zip on google)
5) after that i got the "unfortunately supersu has stopped" message on boots
installing the supersu.apk after the boot works fine, but it will go away on boot, as explained
again, thank you, it helped a lot

There is no option for update in google play. There is just an open button and clicking that again shows "Supersu has stopped working"

I had the same issue and fixed it like this -
1. Installed ES File explorer and open it.
2. Press Menu on the phone and scroll down and turn ON Root Explorer and hit Back.
3. Choose Device from the top menu (dropdown)
4. From the bottom menu, choose search and search for super and you should see superuser.apk.
5. Choose that and install it.
From there you should be able to disable KNOX and open SuperSu
Thank You!

This worked for me but after I rebooted I started getting "Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped" again. Now whenever I try to run an app that was previously granted root access it works fine. But if I run a new app that requires root access the app hangs.
At this point if I reinstall the SuperSU apk from ES File Explorer I'm able to run SuperSU and grant access to new apps and everything works fine until I reboot. After rebooting I'm back to getting the error again and new applications freeze when trying to get root access..
I don't want to have to reinstall the SuperSU apk every time I reboot. Any other suggestions for making SuperSU stick so I don't have to keep rebooting/reinstalling?

try that
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Scarica link: saferoot.zip
I finally got rid of this problem. This is what ultimately worked for me.
I downloaded the latest SuperSU apk from here http://download.chainfire.eu/376/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.89.zip and saved it to the root of my phone. Then I installed it using the steps from above with some modification.
1. Installed ES File explorer and open it.
2. Press Menu on the phone and scroll down and turn ON Root Explorer and hit Back.
3. Choose Device from the top menu (dropdown)

But you'll have to open the zip file and find the Superuser.apk inside of the "common" folder.
After installing it I opened SuperSU and went to Settings -> Reinstall.
Then reboot and install SuperSU from Google Play. Everything has been golden since then.
I think SuperSU was somehow corrupted after I first rooted. Perhaps because of being rooted under 4.1.2 before I did the OTA. I really don't know. But I do know that uninstalling SuperSU then reinstalling fixed it.
let me know if the solution that i post before (post 15 ) work on your device too
first time using CF Auto Root i had the same problem, SuperSu crashed because it was being blocked by Knox.
what I did that worked for me, go in google play store, search for SuperSu, will ask you to 'update' SuperSu, do that, then a message will come up saying Knox will be a problem, do you want to disable it, i clicked yes, which in turn disabled Knox and updated SuperSU. SuperSu hasnt crashed since even after rebooting.
let me know if this works for anyone else

Try fixing permissions and wipe cache and than use a app similar to uninstaller and that should do the job. I ran across that minor hiccup a couple times.

He means go to CWM - Recovery Modus and the FixPermissions Option in Advanced mode...
DalvikCache Wiping is in Advanced Mode too...
This is for a System other than Windows Mobile !
I think he is talking about Windows Mobile and not Android.
So those solutions won't work. Try to delete the game's folder from "Program Files".
Yea em using WM 6.5... i have deleted it from Program file, start up and start menu but still in list of installed program...
Is the Kindle Fire really worth it? I'm thinking of getting one and root it.
Also, I heard that when you root it you can install te Android Market but is there anything more that can be installed or done?
Thanks in advance
Worth it is subjective. I can tell you that to me it was worth it.
The stock setup out of box is actually really nice, and if you use Amazon's services like Prime it's a great media consumption device.
That being said, I do have mine rooted and I have it loaded with CM7 (hopefully 9 in the near future) and it makes a nice little android tablet. For $199 I have no complaints and I have it doing more than its supposed to because of the rooting. I think that even if there was no ROMs for it though that for $199 it's a great all around device and well worth the money. Some may think differently but that's what I think.
Thanks for replying.
What is CM7? Its OS?
AlsO, can you tell me exactly what can you do with a rooted fire? Apart from indtalling the Andoid Market?
The keys for me are:
o Titanium Backup enables me to get a good backup of all the apps and freeze ones (bloat) that I don't want running.
o ScreenShot. Need a on device way to do screen captures. Up to ICS, this requires root for most devices.
o Keyboards. Use non-standard keyboards like Swype and Thumb Keyboard
o Ability to tweak system info and configs.
Below is small list of root only things I use...
o AdFree
o Google Apps (Android Market, Gmail, Calendar, Google+, Maps*, Talk*, Translate*)
o QuickBoot
o Root Explorer
o STTS Susan (not fully working yet)
o Screenshot Using instead of Shootme
o Super Manager
o TWRP 2.0 Recovery Manager
o TaskSwitcher
o TetherGPS Root needed to modify the settings.db to enable it, but not needed after installed. Enables the use of GPS via another droid that acts as a server
o Thumb Keyboard (tricky to install but not hard)
o Titanium Backup
o Voodoo OTA RootKeeper (how to allow for use Amazon Videos after you have rooted)
cm7 (cyanogenmod 7) is an alternate os (rom)
with this it is like any other tablet with android 2.3.4 (gingerbread)
Ok thanks for all te info
glad to help ...

Hello,
I have just rooted my samsung galaxy tab. I have lost 180 holiday foto's en i read that with Hexamob, yu can get them back. But when i start that app , it says that i don't have root permissions. Fix this from your superuser app.
I rooted my tab. I have got superuser, but still it doensn't work.
Can anyone tell me what i have done wrong.
Are you sure the app has root permission? If you aren't, open Superuser, and "Hexamob Recovery" must be in the "allow" list.
If it's not there, open Superuser, then (without killing Superuser) open "Hexamob Recovery" (a prompt from superuser will pop) and allow root permission.
finally i got soperuser working. something with the permission for usb controlling.
But I still can find my device in Hexamob. Normally I can use recuva to get delete files back, but that also doens't work. It also doesn't see my divice. Is there another way to get deleted files or foto's back, from a tablet?
Maybe you could try another app, e.g.: Undelete
Is there als o a way, that you can connect your tablet to your pc en use your pc to searce throw your tablet?
When i connect my tablet on my pc i can see and open the folders on my tablet, but i can't use any programs to searce throw the tablet

It's something to do with mtp mode and the tab not being mass storage recognized by the PC. I've seen a thread where Misledz dealt with this. Can't remember if it was ever resolved but some searching might get you some more info about it being possible or what solution, if any they came up with.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys I've rooted my device, but when I install SU, I get Binary occupied error and I tried installing an older version apk and install Binary, but it also failed.
I need this SU because it has the option to enable or disable root. This is needed for me because my banking app does not work with rooted device. In my previous phone I used to disable it and then use my banking app and whenever I needed root access I would just enable it in SU super user.
Is there an alternate way for me to use my banking app . (Axis Mobile)
Or
Is there a solution to install SU in mi A1?
