5. I dont have enough space on my phone
1. Before flashing your phone, you can edit the flash.cfg file and change the following line:
cache ya 40M >>to>> cache ya 15M
This reduces the cache by 25M with no discernible impact on the speed of the build (imo).
This should give you in excess of 130MB free after a clean flash. Expect that to drop to around 100MB once Market, Flash and a couple of other apps update themselves.
2. Immediate install Z4root to root your device.
Put it on your SD card and then install a file manager from the Market to browse to it and then install and run. Follow the details on the thread... (Note: it may get stuck on 'Rebooting'. Wait a minute or so and then manually reboot - it will work fine and SuperUser will now work after the reboot)
3. Install Move2SD. You can get it from the Market.You can get it from here.
This allows you to move most (not quite all) apps to SD. It is the best option I have found to move most of those awkward apps.
I have now installed pretty much all of my apps that I used to run on non-NAND builds and have moved about 90%+ of them to the SD card. At time of writing I have loads of apps installed and still have over 70MB free

6. I have some battery issues
1. Install Battery Monitor Widget or CurrentWidget from the Market so that you have a way of tracking your current usage.
2. Install Set CPU - free for XDA members from here, but also available on the Market.
After setting your Main Screen to 'OnDemand' and 'Set on Boot', assign SetCPU a couple of profiles. I tend to use:
>> Screen Off: Max/Min 245000, Scaling 'OnDemand', Priority 50%
>> Battery <25% Max 384000/Min 245000, Scaling 'OnDemand', Priority 50%
You can play to your hearts content here, but these give me consistently 7ma in Standby.
Also, you can reduced the sampling rate to 20000 and 'Set on Boot' in Advanced if you like.
3. Avoid power hungry background stuff like animated wallpapers and turn off GPS, Wireless etc. There are LOADS of apps out there that can do this automatically for you free from the market, but I have found that making sure my GPS is off (I have a widget to show me) plus SetCPU is plenty. It may work for you though.
4. Some have reported that Darkstone's suggestion makes a major difference to their power consumption:
"To fix high power drain / usage in standby (60mA or 70mA) disable 'Use wireless networks' in Settings>Location menu. You will now get 7mA or less constantly. I discovered this as the main culprit last night. Also works in other builds."

Then you should fill everything needed. If you dont know the right settings for you, you should search for APN settings in this sub-forum. There are thousands of posts with settings in the Cotulla ROM threat alone. Some dedicated TMOUS ROMS come with working APN out of the box

I read these questions thousands of times, that is why I wrote this FAQ. Some of these tips have helped me, some have helped others. I hope this helps as well
8. GPS is not working/gets the fix too slow
A few people mentioned that GPS has not been working. This is what I (always) do with a new build (both NAND and SD), and so far, it's been working.
1. Use file explorer capable of editing system files to edit the file /system/etc/gps.conf (I use Root Explorer but unfortunately this is paid software; not tried with free version of Astro or ES, and it is possible that they can work too.)
2. Make sure that the bit after "NTP_SERVER=" goes with your location. I believe that as provided, it's "north-america.pool.ntp.org". If you live outside North America, as I do, edit to the appropriate server--as listed at the NTP POOL PROJECT (google for that).
3. The very first attempted GPS lock tends to take longer, often in the minutes. But after that, even if I switch off and on the GPS, it only takes a few seconds to acquire a lock.

4. Sometimes GPS becomes more responsive after a fresh soft reset.
5. Look for "GPS Status" in Marketplace. This app is able to reset the state of the GPS chip and download A-GPS data. Seems to help a little.

Tried a method which seems to have solved the problem (I hope). Downloaded app "GPS Status" from Android market.
Then followed instructions as found on this site
Originally advice for Nexus One owners:
Take your SIM out of the Nexus One
Power on the device
Turn WiFi on
Turn GPS on
Open application: GPS Status
Go into its Settings menu
Click on GPS and Sensors
Click Manage A-GPS state
Click Reset
Click Manage A-GPS state again
Click Download
Now put your phone on a stable, straight surface in order to enable the phone to get a lock. This time, you’ll see your phone get the lock back way faster than before.
With that done, now it’s time to put your SIM back in and use the network to secure a quick GPS fix as well.
As I said this has worked for me so far. Let me know if it helps any of you

(updated 12 March 2011)
Prerequisites
HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
Radio that support 576 RAM (ex. radio ROM 2.15)
DFT MAGLDR Bootloader
ClockworkMod Recovery
Make sure that you have all the prerequisites installed.
STEPS:
A: Install HSPL3
B: Install radio ROM 2.15
C: Install MAGLDR on HTC HD2
D: ClockworkMod Recovery
E: NAND Android on HTC HD2 with ClockWorkMod Recovery
A: Install HSPL3
Prerequisites
* Windows Mobile Device Center installed on Windows Vista / Windows 7 or
* ActiveSync installed on Windows XP
* You must have any SPL version from this list on your device:
o SPL 1.42.0000
o SPL 1.62.0000
o SPL 1.66.0000
o SPL 2.07.0000
o SPL 2.08.0000
o SPL 2.10.0000
(To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset)
You should have this SPL version unless you are using the latest 3.14 ROM with SPL 3.03.0000. No worry, just downgrade your Windows Mobile ROM from v3.14 to v1.66 will do. Download HTC HD2 v1.66 ROM. Then downgrade your phone from SPL 3.03.0000 to SPL 1.42.000.
Step by Step Guide
1. Power off your phone.
2. Press volume down button (don’t let go) and power on your phone.
3. It will load into bootloader.
4. You should get ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen with SPL-1.42.
5. Take off the battery.
6. Power on your phone.
7. Connect USB cable from PC to phone after Windows Mobile loaded.
8. Select ‘ActiveSync’ and click ‘Done’.
9. Open HSPL3_PKG.zip with 7-Zip.
10. Copy HSPL3_PKG.exe to desktop.
11. Execute HSPL3_PKG.
12. Follow onscreen instructions to install.
13. Click ‘Yes’ if User Access Control prompt up.
14. Bootloader will be loaded with USB status during starting of installation.
15. Select ’2.08.HSPL’ to install.
16. After installation, you should see ‘We hacked it!’ on your phone.
17. Click on ‘Yes’ and your phone should be rebooted and load into Windows Mobile.
18. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
19. To verify, power off your phone.
20. Press volume down button (don’t let go) and power on your phone.
21. It will load into bootloader.
22. You should get ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen with SPL-2.08.HSPL.
23. That’s all.
B: Install Custom Radio ROM
Prerequisites
* HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
In order to flash custom radio ROM, you need to have HSPL3 installed on your HTC HD2. By the way, I used Radio Leo 2.15.50.14 on my guide. You can use it or any other HTC HD2 Radio ROM version.
HTC HD2 has 576 MB physical RAM but was reduced by software to 512 MB only. And custom Windows Mobile ROM + radio 2.07 or above can unlock it to be 576 MB again. Certain custom Windows Mobile ROM need higher radio version than your phone. And NAND Android requires it too. So you need to install custom radio ROM (if you don’t have the correct radio version).
Step by Step Guide
1. Power off your phone.
2. Press volume down button (don’t let go) and power on your phone.
3. It will load into bootloader.
4. You should get ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen with SPL-2.08.HSPL.
5. Take off the battery.
6. Power on your phone.
7. I have R 2.06.51.07 at bottom of the screen with green HTC Logo.
8. Connect USB cable from PC to phone after Windows Mobile loaded.
9. Select ‘ActiveSync’ and click ‘Done’.
10. Open Radio Leo 2.15.50.14.rar with 7-Zip.
11. Copy CustomRUU.exe and RUU_signed.nbh to desktop.
12. Execute CustomRUU.
13. Click ‘Yes’ if User Access Control prompt up.
14. Follow onscreen instructions to install.
15. Bootloader will be loaded with USB status during starting of installation. (~10 minutes)
16. Phone will be rebooted after installation finished.
17. You should have R 2.15.50.14 at bottom of the screen with green HTC Logo.
18. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
19. That’s all.
C: Install MAGLDR
In order to install NAND Android on HTC HD2, you must install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader first. And the good news ~ both LEO512 and LEO1024 are supported. This means US T-Mobile HD2, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world’s HTC HD2 are supported.
Note – by installing MAGLDR, you cannot boot into Windows Mobile anymore. So everything on your phone is gone…
Prerequisites
* HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
* Radio that support 576 RAM
No worry, Android on NAND is working. That’s the reason we install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader on our HTC HD2, right? And we will be able to load the latest Windows Phone version (if we are crazy...) when the ROM comes out. Okay, let’s get started. If you don’t have HSPL3, please install it first. And aslo install radio ROM 2.15.
Step by Step Guide
1. Power off your phone.
2. Press volume down button (don’t let go) and power on your phone.
3. It will load into bootloader.
4. You should get ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen with SPL-2.08.HSPL.

Please make sure that you have all the prerequisites installed. If you don’t have HSPL3, please install it. Also install radio ROM 2.1. Finally, install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader.
Step by Step Guide
1. Power on your phone and don’t let go power button.
2. DFT MAGLDR Bootloader will be loaded.
3. Use volume down button to go down to 4. USB MassStg.
4. Then press call button to enter USB Mass Storage mode.
5. Connect USB cable from PC to phone.
6. At PC, open Removable Disk (SD card storage).
7. Create a temp folder.
8. Open ClockworkMod-Recovery-v3.0.x.x.zip with 7-Zip.
9. Copy everything to temp folder.
10. Enter temp folder.
11. Enter copy_to_sd_root folder.
12. Copy initrd.gz and zImage files to SD card root level.
13. Then disconnect USB cable from phone.
14. Press power button to go back.
15. Use volume down button to go to 11. Reset.
16. Then press call button.
17. Press power button and don’t let go.
18. DFT MAGLDR Bootloader will be loaded.
19. Use volume down button to go down to 5. USB Flasher.
20. Then press call button to load Android Flasher mode.
21. Connect USB cable from PC to phone.
22. At PC, right click on DAF and select ‘Run as administrator’.
23. Click ‘Yes’ if User Access Control prompt up.
24. Follow onscreen instructions to install.
25. Phone will be rebooted after installation finished.
26. DFT MAGLDR Bootloader will be loaded then.
27. Disconnect USB cable from phone.
28. Press call button to load 2. Boot AD SD.
29. ClockworkMod Recovery will be loaded then.

E: Install NAND Android on HTC HD2 with ClockWorkMod Recovery
Install NAND Android on HTC HD2 with ClockworkMod Recovery is the 2nd method to have NAND Android on HTC HD2. And this can be done by using SD card only without PC. Just download the zip ROM to your SD card and you are ready to go. In addition, you can backup and restore ROM using Nandroid. Or you can try the 1st method through DFT MAGLDR Bootloader which requires PC with USB connection.
Prerequisites

DFT MAGLDR Bootloader
ClockworkMod Recovery
Having NAND Android on HTC HD2 is not a simple task like ABC. But it is not mission impossible too. Just follow these guides to get all the prerequisites installed. Please install HSPL3. Install Custom Radio ROM 2.15. Then, install DFT MAGLDR Bootloader. Finally, install ClockworkMod Recovery. Wow… Lot of steps but worth it. Trust me…
Step by Step Guide
1. Power on your phone and don’t let go power button.
2. DFT MAGLDR Bootloader will be loaded.
3. Use volume down button to go down to 4. USB MassStg.
4. Then press call button to enter USB Mass Storage mode.
5. Connect USB cable from PC to phone.

7. Open your favorite ROM (ex. JawsMIUIrec1.0.7z) with 7-Zip.

26. When you see ‘Install from sdcard complete’, press power button.
27. Press call button to select ‘reboot system now’.
28. Phone will be rebooted and enter NAND Android automatically.

NAND ROM - Android rom, flashed in NANd memory, just like WM6.5 is. It replaces WM. Opposite to SDCARD ROMs which relies on WM to run the ANdroid build, which is located on the SDCARD.
Free size - depends on the ROM you picked, read 1 post of the ROM threat.
Please, read how to flash NAND Android for newbies first, if you want to take this step...

Do you mean that your phone goes off when you try to charge it??? Never heard of this issue, sorry...

I deleted your download link because the file was an ad free version of Angry Birds which I assume is a warez cracked version. If you can prove this is a free download version then you can put the link back up but if its warez then please do not post those kinds of files on xda as they are not allowed and will result with an infraction on your account.

What build are you using? If it's Gingerbread, this won't help, whatever you do...

Just one question here..I booted my HD2 with windows 7 post doing magldr112 & everything went fine..I removed my SD card as it was needed in the process & after installation inserted it back thinking windows 7 will recognize it..Though it didnt & i realized windows 7 dont yet have any hack through which it can identify an sd card on HTC HD2..So i flashed nand android gingerbread [ Build :- [16 JAN] Pure Gingerbread gpc_hd2_gingerbread_v6 [RMNET][NAND][Kernel: gpc#2] over it through same magldr 112 & sd card was still there in the phone while flashing..Now it flashed successfully & everything is working fine except my sd card is not being recognized..Also when i tried to format it from settings..it says "Damaged sd card"..Is there a way i could get my 8 gig sd card back to life or it wont work now at all..So i should go for a new one in that case !! Also my HD2 is not being synchronized with my pc as i connect it thru a USB..It isnt askinmg for any option like it did earlier

Format your sd card using the attached tool which was written especially for removeable media. Go into the options and change FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT to 'ON' and it should format your card with the correct size and bring it back to life. You can then use it in your phone again without any problems.

At the time of my post I was MDJ's Cyanogen Gingerbread v2.4. Now I have moved on to v2.5. So what you are telling me is that changing this file to my location.pool.ntp.org will not help on gingerbread? It's better to leave the gps.conf file as it it?
Edit: Even with v2.5 which has the gps fix built in my phone takes a long time to get a lock even in an open field. Almost in the range of 3 - 4 minutes.
I'm kinda noob, but how do I get to this \system gps.config file? I mean I can't acces the phone memory or find it on the sd card.

Think I just found it by using Astro file manager.
I searched in the phone root for gps, then I found gps.config and opened it as a text. After that I chanced america for nl.
Is that the right way?

i meant that my phones charge goes down while im charging it.
I am sorry for this post BUT I AM IN SERIOUS NEED OF HELP, i reached out to dungphp but i did not get the answer i sought, I have been following the instructions here for 2 weeks trying to install this rom, can someone please tell me in a detailed manner from first step to last step how how install this rom and how to reformat my clockwork or sd card to do the 5/240/5 and what the 5/240/5 means, i tried to use the hd2 tool to repartition the clk and all i got was a black screen, i have been trying to do this for weeks, but no one has published a detailed how in install these sense roms, i really want this to work, im sorry for in advance for sounding like such a noob. PLEASE HELP ME
Ok, first of all calm down.
Then SLAP YOURSELF. once you're done with it, follow the instructions below:
1) Bang ur head in the wall
2) sit on your computer, switch it on
3) play religious songs
4) connect ur hd2 to your comp (in bootloader mode, the 4 colour screen with text which comes when u have pressed volume down during power up)
5) open the hd2 toolkit and select 240MB for system and 5mb for cache click on repartition clk (cLK repartitioning is also cLK installing as we cannot do on the fly partitions for now. Dont worry if you did not understand anything in the brackets as you probably will never understand it.)
6) you will see that a window comes up saying blah blah ! click that to continue etc etc. do as it says and you should see that the phone will restart.
7) Now, if you had a cLK rom installed previously it might boot that up, so just for the sake of it, keep pressing the ( <-- ) Back key when the phone reboots.
8) You will find that there is some small/fine text on your screen. That is not unusual and no some chinese guy has not hacked your phone.
9) If you have the fastboot and ADB drivers installed on your comp, you should see "fastboot: processing commads" on your screen as the last line.
10) Once that is done, feel proud of yourself and bang your head in the wall for second time (it really helps, really !)
11) Switch back to HD2 toolkit and if you have closed it then open it back.
12) Click on Install recovery cLK, follow the onscreen instructions.
13) Once that is done, you should see that the phone reboots (Just make sure you keep the Home key ( i cannot draw home ) pressed all the time after the flashing progress screen goes black, if you did it right, you will boot to the recovery that is some text with Clockwork recovery written on top.
14) Using volume keys go to advanced then press call key, then again using volume keys go to Partition sd card, press call key.
15) Select 512MB or 1GB depending on the size of your sdcard (this is the space that the rom will use on your sdcard, you will not be able to use this space untill you format your sdcard again !) and press call key to begin partitioning the sdcard.
16) Now you must realise that your hd2 is still plugged into the comp for no reason, good.
17) Using back on the recovery menu, go back to the main menu which came up when you booted up for the first time.
18) Go to Storage and Mounts (or something similar) and press call key
19) Go to Mount Mass storage and press call key
20) Now lookup at your comp screen if your USB was connected, you should see a new removable drive in the my computer.
21) Copy the zip file and the cLK patch from the thread and any other optional packages you downloaded from the ROM thread onto that removable drive.
22) Once the transfer is complete, press call key on your mobile (it should be on a single choice menu with "Unmount Mass storage" as the only option)
23) Now you can disconnect the wire and use it to poke yourself in the eyes.
24) Again get back to the main menu as described above.
25) Select install zip from sdcard
26) select choose zip package (or something similar perhaps)
27) Using volume keys, select the Main ROM file, the file which was ~300mb
28) and press call key. Sit back and watch some movies or do some constructive work like banging your head into the wall untill you are stoned or the Rom is done installing (this should take about 10~15 minutes max)
29) Then in a similar manner of installing zip files, install any modifactions or the cLK patch for booting with cLK
30) Again get back to the main menu and finally select Reboot device and press call key.
31) Pat yourself on the back and your head on the wall.
32) If you did all the work and banging as mentioned, the rom should boot in about 5~10 minutes.
33) DO NOT TOUCH THE DEVICE, let it settle down for some time (you can have another round of head banging till then)
34) Switch the screen on and laugh on how stupid you were to post this in the DEV forums and to contact a kernel developer for instructions on how to install a rom.

i managed to successfully load this rom with CWR, when i reboot phone its stuck on "HTC quietly briliant" screen.....i know sometimes it does take a while to do its thing but its been like this for a day......can any1 help explain whats wrong?

I have the HTC hd2 nand flashed with the newest maglrd version. (I am completely new in this scene)
I had Android 2.3.4 installed when I bought this phone but I wished to have an Android with HTC sense so I downloaded an nand Rom for hd2 but it was no use, I got always those screen freezes (boot loops) , till I took an autoinstaller from dark force team and know I am still messing up with a bad moddet 2.2 rom, could someone write an step by step tutorial for me?
I want to get 2.3.4 again (in the best case with sense)
I found a lot of other tuts but I can't understand the meaning of the steps because I am an noob, a tutorial for dummy would be great, I would really appreciate it !

you must repartition your nand according to the needs of the rom.at first page of android nand thread there is hd2 nand tool kit dowload it. connect your phone to pc-in mgldr menu choose usb flasher-see usb flasher....usb-in toolkit choose appropriate partition sizes then click repartition. in addition if you are an eu hd2 user you should have sd-ext partition for sense roms.ifyou stuck ask again

Yeah AOSP roms (CM7, etc) use much smaller partitions than Sense roms. For example with a TMOUS HD2 a AOSP rom like Typhoon uses roughly 130mb system partion wheras a Sense rom use 390-400mb partition. If you do not change this and try to flash a Sense rom then you are essentially running out of space before the rom can be fully installed, ergo the bootloop.
Like the previous poster said, check the first page of each rom you download as they usually tell you what size partition to use. Some will even have a daf.exe file for you to flash the appropriate partion & recovery.

In your opening post you say "screen freezes(bootloops)"
Which is it? Freezing or looping? Cos they're two different things.
Looping is often associated with power problems such as a bent battery pin, whilst freezing could be not clearing the data/cache/sdext partition, or overheating, (amongst various others)
Important Notice: If you were given a direct link to this post, edit step #8 and choose a ROM you prefer from the NAND sub-forum and edit step #11 and enter the values you get from the ROM's thread/OP.
HD2 Android NAND for dummies:
1-This tutorial assumes that you have HSPL already installed, your device is connected to your pc and you have the latest drivers, please carry on.
1a- Fully Charge your phone (use external charger, or manage yourself!)
2- Go to ksubedi's Thread and download his HD2 NAND Toolkit (thanks ksubedi!)
3- After Installing it, Power Off your device (HD2) and power on into bootloader mode (Power on while Holding Volume down)
4- After seeing ("Serial" changed to "USB") on your phone, run the toolkit with Administrator rights (default).
5-(Optional) From bottom right corner choose "Wipe (Task29)", go through the steps and when your device reboots go into bootloader again (Volume Down and Power On).
6- Choose from bottom right corner "Install MAGLDR", go through the process and when your phone restarts hold the power button (not the volume!)
7- MAGLDR Screen will appear, Go down (using volume rockers) to Option 5. USB Flasher and wait for it to say "wait USB".
8- Go to Tyween's Thread and download his ROM (Thanks tyween)
**8- Typhoon is a CM7 build not sense (Sense takes more NAND Space and can be somewhat laggy and slow )
9-After Downloading the MAG Build, put the ZIP file on your sd card and put it into your phone.
10- On the toolkit, from the top panel choose "MAGLDR Repartition" and from the left panel choose 150mb system partition and from the bottom set the cache size to 5mb then click on repartition and go through it.
11- Reboot your phone into MAGLDR screen (by holding the Power on button)
11-a (Optional) if you think you may need extra storage for your apps/games, create an ext3 or ext4 partition on your sdcard using Easeus Partition Manager on your PC.
12- Go to Option 8.Android Recovery (Using volume rockers) and hit the Green Button (Dial Button) to go to recovery.
13- A Black screen with orange/blue text will show up (This is recovery) go to "Install Zip from sd card" And then choose the second option then choose your recently downloaded ROM and hit green button, now look at step 13a before confirming, then hit yes.
13a- If you chose to create an ext partition on your sdcard in step 11-a, don't forget to either a-select NAND with DataOnExt when installing the ROM. (If supported by ROM) or b-flash an a2sd script after flashing the ROM immediately.
14-a Now it will begin the flashing process, just wait for it.
14-b when it finish, simply choose "Reboot system now" and let the device boot into Android.
14-c After the device has booted, dont touch your phone but let it initialize for at least 3 minutes before using it.

A: Choose RMNET. (You can choose PPP, but it drops sometimes).

A: It could be anything, but mostly bad blocks. Increase the system partition by ~20MB.

too big partition possible? Problems with Pyramid.
RAFdroid works perfect on my HD2 EU. Nand partition is 400.
When I try to install one of the available Pyramid ROMS, they all keep repeating the white/green "quietly brilliant" screen (One time I let it for 2 hours, but no effect). Is this because I did not change the NAND partition? It's bigger than needed. In recovery I allways do factory reset and whipe Dalvik cache.
change your nand partition.because it is much more bigger than the rom wants and this may cause problem.
Changing the NAND partition was the solution. Why do they use such a small partition in NAND, and such a big one on SD. Is the remaining NAND still in use for something?

the rom you have chosen doesnt boot without an sd-ext partition.this procedure will erase your sd.so make a backup to pc.this can be done at pc but i try to teach doing it at mgldr.in mgldr menu go to:ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-2048m(since this rom is big i recommend this)-then 0 as swap(i use 128m to support ram but you shuld know that swap may harm your sd). now put your backup to sd:in mgldr ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage now your pc will see your sd.

(Its nearly the same text, only the numbers are different and if not you opened the wrong "flash.cfg".
11- Go now to your phone, in the mgldr menu and choose the USB-Flasher menu and wait (5 seks.)
12 - Open now with the admin rights "DAF" (RIGHT CLICK AND OPEN AS ADIMIN!! otherwise it will not work)
13- go now to Recovery Mode in your phone and open advanced
14- Choose Wipe Dalvik Cache
15- go to Paritition SD Card and Choose 2048MB and 0 MB (you can choose also 128MB to support your RAM but it can woope your sd cards ass up ! (thanks to mutil)
16- Go now back with the arrow button on the buttom of your phone and choose "install zip. from sdcard".
17- choose know "choose zip from sdcard)
18- choose know your zip. and wait for the construktions in the rom !
And start enjoying your ROM !

If you don't have Hard SPL installed and the right Radio ROM, then you won't be able to flash stuff. You need HSPL2.08 to run Android / WP7 / MAGLDR:

The first thing you have to do is go to this thread and download the HD2 Nand Toolkit from this thread:

1. Then you'll need to turn off your HD2 and while pressing the volume donw key you need to press the power button in order to get to a three color screen (the bootloader).
2. Connect your HD2 to your PC and wait until you see USB at the end of your screen.
3. Start the Toolkit and press Task29. This will erase Windows Mobile.
4. Again go into bootloader (three color screen) and press install Magldr from Toolkit.
5. After that installation you need to hold down the power button while your HD2 is booting and you'll have the Magldr menu.
6. Choose point 4 "USB Flasher" and connect your phone to your PC.
7. Choose the right partition size for your NAND ROM on the left hand side from the Toolkit and your partition size (infos are available at the ROM thread of your choise).
8. By using a card reader or point 4 of Magldr menu ("USB storage") copy your ROM update .zip file to the root of your formated fat32 SD card.
9. Press update and let it work. Wait until your HD2 booted up again, chose menue point 8 "Ad Recovery" and this'll take you to Clockworkmod.
10. Choose "install update .zip" from that and then "choose zip"
11. Go to your rom file and let it work. After that you should be able to use Androind on NAND.
The post above mine is a very good post. But to be honest all you really need to do is to download the HD2 NAND Toolkit, the .zip file for the ROM of your choice, a radio version that is 2.08.50.?? or higher (this is only if you have EU HD2, T-Mobile HD2's don't need different radio), the Windows Mobile drivers that come with the Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center software from Microsoft, and if you want to use clk instead of MAGLDR you will need the Google Android drivers. For way more details on all of this click on the guide linked in my signature.
Also the you can use the HD2 NAND Toolkit to flash anything you need to use Android on your HD2.

Hopefully I understod you correctly
So you want "stock" HTC Android home screen? On which version are you? Sense version I mean? It's quite simple. On yyour home screen you'll only have to chose "+" in the left bottom. From there you're able to choose HTC widgets like the "stock" clock. Simply press on add a wigdet and choose your HTC clock.

Sounds like you are probably using a CM ROM, a ROM based off CM, or a ASOP ROM. These ROMs do not have HTC Sense. If you want the the same feel of the HTC Sense that was on the Windows Mobile ROMs then you will have to pick out a ROM that has HTC Sense in it, or what is referred to as Sense.
Hi, I've been having some trubles to find the way to first, update MaGLDR to 1.13, then install ClockworkMod Recovery and finally MIUI ROM. First I googled how to update MaGLDR to 1.13, but I couldn't follow the directions I found on the original thread, I didn't had ActiveSync. So I'm writing this thead so if someone has the same problems as I had, I hope this can help someone. And if you want to install any other ROM, this may be usefull too. I find the ROM installation from Recovery easier and faster then installing it by RUU, but, that's my opinion.
I want to make clear that all the files on this post are not my work, I just uploaded again, so you can find anything you need on this same post. I'll upload the MIUI ROM for HD2 too, I just want to add, that I rather this ROM for HD2 beacause it is very light and fast, but that's just my opinion too.
Before we begin, make sure your HD2 battery is at least 50% charge. So, let's begin.

As I mentioned it, my problem was to stablish an ActiveSync connection with the PC, so to solve that I've conected my HD2 on boot mode.
1. Connect your HD2 on boot mode(holding volume down key + Power button).
2. Wait for Windows to install drivers
3. Decompress the content of the file above on an empty folder
4. Rigth click on the ROMUpdateUtility.exe file and select Run as Administrator
5. Click the check box and click next, and repeat
6. Your phone will show a screen saying HTC with a progress bar for a little while, once it finishes it will restart, hold the power button so it shows the MaGLDR menu options, the option AD Recovery should be on the menu, and there you got, you just updated MaGLDR to 1.13 version.

Q. I dont know which partition size to download
A. Depending on what type of roms you plan on using, you should choose the partition size based on the following.
150MB Partition - For bare roms including CyanogenMod, AOSP, and MiUI
250MB Partition - For Standard sense roms including Desire and EVo based ROMs, can also be used for some squashed HD builds
400MB Partition - For Larger roms including unsquashed Desire HD and Z roms, ROMs REQUIRE data2sd for EU HD2 with 512MB NAND

1. Turn on your phone and hold Power button until MaGLDR menu shows up
2. Select USB Flasher option and press Send(Green button)
3. Wait for windows to install drivers
4. Decompress the content of the file you choose to download on an empty folder and right click on the DAF.exe file and click Run as Administrator
5. Wait until the program detects the phone and follow the instructions until the program has finished
6. Detach the phone and turn it on and hold Power button so you can access to the MaGLDR menu
7. Select the AD Recovery option and you'll see the Recovery menu
Installing MIUI ROM
Personaly I like to create a SD partition, so here are the steps once you are into the Recovery
1. Select advanced click Send
2. Select Partition SD Card
3. Select the size of the Ext partition
4. Select the size of the swap file
5. Select Yes

As I mentioned it, my problem was to stablish an ActiveSync connection with the PC, so to solve that I've conected my HD2 on boot mode.
1. Connect your HD2 on boot mode(holding volume down key + Power button).
2. Wait for Windows to install drivers
3. Decompress the content of the file above on an empty folder

I got error in connection (through ActSync,) what is the solution. i have installed HTCSync but it doesnt detect my device.
Device Info :
Model No : T-Mobile_LEO
Platform : PocketPC
Radio : 2.10.50.26
OS : 5.2.21892
Protocol : 15.39.50.07U
What to do ?????

I have always run into problems when installing ROM , it always some error, because the MAGLDR file or some
other file is the wrong version etc
I have send days trying to find a quick and problematic free and best way to install ROM's on the HD2,
right now I am on my second HD2 and I am trying to install the latest's Miui ROM's on it,
the first HD2 stop working after I flash it the last time with ROM's and the phone keep freezing frequently, and most time I would have to remove
the battery which eventually damage one of the battery connecting pin, I send it to a repair shop and they made a mess of it
now I have it for parts.thank again.....

Well, sorry for taking so long to reply, but your problem seemed to lay on te cable cord o maybe on you Bootloader version, I don't remember well enoght to say exactli whats your problem. Sorry

Well ... Dear Friend ... I'm Sure you missed Something so lets check This :
1- The Windows Should be XP ( If have 7 You need To install active sync and HTC Drivers To make the "Serial" ( In boot loader ) cange ino "USB")
2- Try HD2Toolkit ( thanks to @ksubedi )To install any Of MAGLDR or CLK

Maybe I missed about HD2Toolkit, but the steps I wrote, I executed them on Windows 7 and it all worked perfectly several times, and yet indeed you need either the drivers, that I downloaded throught Windows Update, or ActiveSync from the HTC webpage, or you can just google them, but I agree on the fact that Windows XP is better when flashing any device, and HD2Toolkit, if you can get your hands on it, is a very useful set of tools, depending on what you want to do

I installed this MAGLDR (it says aMAGLDR v1.13 at the top), but cannot set AD SD dir, when I go to Services->BootSettings, highlight 3. AD SD Dir and press left button (Green?) it goes straight to MAGLDR home, giveing me no option to choose folder.
Partitions on my SD card:
1. Unallocated - 8MB
2. FAT32 - 17,2GB
3. Ext4 - 1GB
4. Ext4 - 4.1GB
5. Unformatted - 7GB
If I understand right it should see 2 as /sdcard and (after flash of Android) - 3 as /system and 4 as /data?
Forgot setting FAT32 as primary... idiot...
