1: Wrong forum for this.
2: Search function. There are already other threads abou this exact thing. It's answered in those.
Yes, FoxFi works. When you activate it and receive the Verizon message, hit the home button, and you'll have wifi tethering active.

Internet Connection Sharing - continued..

I was getting much response in the Rhodium forum, so I thought I'd post here;
I installed ICSinstall.cab (January, 2008 version) on my TP2 (Verizon), rebooted, connected USB to my laptop, connected the application a VOILA! I'm online!
Awesome, now I just need to know if this is safe to use on my Verizon TP2. Will Verizon see that I'm tethering my laptop?

Please reply here, and not in the other thread.

If you don't have a proper answer to the topic at hand, don't reply.. everyone else is doing a great job at it, why don't you tag along visualdeveloper?
I'm merely bumping the topic in case there is someone now who knows, who didn't see the topic previously. Seeing as how there are almost 2 million members, almost 300 thousand active, it's entirely possible that someone missed the topic who can verify the information.

Tethering without root!

PdaNET Software avalible for free, for the android phone, http://www.junefabrics.com/android/
Install a small app on the PC and bingo you have a tether!
Combined with google voice, you can have visual voicemail, call screening, and free calling/texting. Who needs root?
Hate to be that guy, but....
/facepalm
I'm sure plenty people know of this already next time make sure you post it the right section this belongs in the general discussion not in the development section thanks

no he works for them, he is trying to get people to use the trial so that they will buy it after it expires. Because he knows a lot of people come back to xda to check to see if their is an easier way to root for unrooted incredibles. I don't think this belongs in the development. if anything it should be in the app section.

So....two things...
1. Wrong place for the question. There is a thread for questions.
2. Yes use wireless tether for root users in the market. That works as a hotspot.
I don't understand why we would put all questions in one thread that I have to search though. Why not use the forum as a forum should be used and easier to read?
Although this should probably be in the general Q&A forum but it also has to do with having root so its a tough call.

This forum is not question about root. It is for ROM development and such, not questions regarding how root works, etc.
If we have one place with all questions, one could then use the search function on that particular thread and hopefully find what they're looking for.
This should not be posted in this forum.
That right.

[Q] s4 sbeam very limited compared to s3

So I got my S4 the 2nd day it came out. I was lucky enough to get the 32gb. recently I tried sending someone a music file and for the life of me couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong. worked perfectly fine with the s3. so after digging around on the net I found out that samsung has disabled sbeam for everything except pictures/videos.
i am aware that there are apps out there that both parties can install to send other kind of files to each other with tapping feature.
one can also use wifi direct and not have to worry either.
I guess my main question is : Is there a rom out there that enables me to send non picture/video files without having to install a 3rd party app or use wifi direct?

Have you tried looking in the "Development" and "Original Development" sub forums to see what the functions of the ROMs available have? Reading through the threads would provide more information that might not be listed in the OPs. I'm guessing you are not getting replies because this might be a feature that most people really don't care about with custom ROMs so they don't check. Researching the individual ROMs and asking questions (that haven't already been asked) within those threads would probably get you a few more suggestions. Good luck.

The answer to this is in like 19 threads on this forum and 1,000,019 threads on XDA in general.
I can answer it. Yes it will work. Nothing about unlocking a bootloader has anything to do with xposed.

If you have a question, which you can't find an answer for via Google, you're welcome to ask, but please not for questions, that have been answered millions of times. The usual forum rules, as they hold on every forum.
Oh, and Google also finds threads on XDA.

So instead it should have been use the forum's search function and not go outside of the site for your answers. Oh, and XDA is'n't always listed on top of the searches through Google so again leading people away.
Either way not my problem.

Same thing again, I didn't say XDA is always listed. But it doesn't matter, where you find the answer for your question, you just want to know it, right?
