I purchased Y300-0151/U8833 from Virgin Canada and rooted it using TWRP 2.6.3.0 and then installed CM10 Unofficial on it.
With the stock ROM whenever I turned on the screen I got a key entry modal dialog with an entry box for unlocking and both unlock and dismiss buttons at the bottom of it.
Now, After rooting and changing the ROM, I can't find this screen and the SIM doesn't work either, meaning that now I can't remove the SIM lock and I can't use the original SIM in my country.
Do you guys have any suggestions about my issue?

hey guys, slight dilema, one of my friends purchased a Touch HD, but its branded by another carrier, so he purchased and unlock code, BUT when he got his Touch HD, i backed up my Touch HD using SPB Backup, and loaded that back up on his phone, he just got the unlock code alittle while ago and he wants to unlock it to use it with his sim card, so he puts the sim card in, powers up the phone (after we loaded my backup on there) but the screen for the where i enter the unlock code doesnt show up anymore, so not sure what to do guys, please help
try a hard reset (power up the phone while holding both vol up and vol down buttons) with the sim card in (the one you want to unlock to be able to use), enter your unlock code before doing anything else... then try restoring your backup...
Hello XDA, recently bought myself a leo. I turn the phone on it displays the loading screen etc, then the inital HTC Sense screen, it then immediatley goes to a page saying "Network is locked, please input unlock code"
Now i've tried to code on my sim, no dice, i've reset the phone to factory and tried it, no luck. I phoned virgin and they said its a faulty device and i should exchange it.. Now being my birthday and im inpaitent i don't wanna wait for them to change it.. is there a way i can flash the ROM or something? Doesn't in need HSPL installed?
Any help would be appricated.
My HD2 on Virgin came totally unlocked (can use any SIM) with standard HTC ROM.
Does sound like yours has a problem.

I just installed CM7 stable in my Legend and, after a couple reboots, the phone stopped asking for my pin number anymore on startup. The only way to have a working phone (to make calls and such) is to manually access the "set up SIM card lock" menu and enter my PIN number from there. I updated my radio from 7.08 to 7.13 but the problem persists.
I made a quick search but couldn't come with an answer. Any help will be appreciated!
Hi all, I aready have the unlock code, I got it calling T-Mobile telling them I was going over seas, my problem is that when you insert a none t-mobile sim card example AT&T and you turn on your phone it will it supposed to bring an option so you can enter the code and unlock the cell phone, but these option dose not appear.
How can I make it appear so I can enter the unlock code?
is there any other way... do I have to use the factory reset?
another info its that this phone has never been rooted or unlocked

I have got a Galaxy S5 G900F.
I managed to install Lineage 14.1 with root. Then I purchased SIM UNLOCK codes.
I did it the same way I did with a Galaxy Note 3. But the problem is the unlock code doesn't work with the S5:
I insert a simcard from a locked provider.
The phone asks for "SIM network unlock PIN"
I enter the code and and touch "unlock"
"SIM Network unlock successful" appears
But after a few seconds the "SIM network unlock PIN" prompt pops up again.
No matter which code I enter "unlock successful" appears but it doesn't work.
Do I need to have stock rom for sim unlock?
Any help is appreciated!

I have found the solution. Flashing back to stock rom, then enter the unlock code there, afterwards flash to LineageOS14 and it everything is working
