So it's Verizon bloat then it would seem. Lovely. I thought it was maybe duplicates/trash from my restore process.

I think it is. I was setting up a buddy of mines G2 on Verizon and when I went to storage I saw 8gb of system data or whatever. Nothing like that on my phone on T-Mobile.
8.05gb here on Verizon G2 :crying: It takes up a huuuuuuge chunk of the total memory for absolutely nothing it seems.
Verizon ruins all there phones.
Just found my reason to root and flash cleanROM lol
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk 4
Yeah I may be doing the same, 8gb is a ****load of crap, AMD I've been digging thru the stock ROM and deleting bloat.
Rooted and flashed cleanROM..
Dont mind the "?" And the roaming, thats what u get when you put an at&t sim in a verizon phone

Verizon G2 here
Flashed cleanrom and now its using 9gb... I'd love for a Dev to chime in here on what this is??

I'm no dev but something to consider is that all G2 US phones at least are 32GB and seem to have 24GB free. Maybe the Verizon variant just shows the system data under storage and the other variants do not? Clean flash of a rom shows me at 24GB of storage. If you have the same available then this is nothing to worry about.
I just received a Verizon LG G2 VS980 and about 8GB of system data is in use. It seems pretty high coming from a Galaxy S2 which appeared to use about 2GB for system data. I have roughly the same amount of space for storage. My S2 was a 16GB with 16GB SD card and the 24GB remaining on the G2 is about the same.
Does anyone know how much space the Verizon stock rooted rom uses? I didn't see anything on a search.

i dont think its a lost man, honestly i cant see to me the only thing that a G2 got the vibrant on it's flash...unless anyone else know some MAJOR issue or reason why the vibrant is less powerful
i might switch to verizon and get the fascinate, as i think that is the best phone right now
The "MAJOR" issue for me was that the Vibrant didn't have a keyboard. I prefer vanilla android as well.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA app
For me, it was the lag now and then, more like stalling, and the delay of 2.2 that ticked me. Sold my Vibrant, got the G2, couldn't be happier. The battery life is brilliant as well, much better than the Vibrant.
vibrant = 3g
g2= hspa
edit: forgot to mention no camera flash D:
The Facinate??? Really?
Its the exact same device as the Vibrant (which is shortcoming #1), except Verizon took a dump all over it and removed Google search...
Godspeed.

Well this is the first qwerty phone I get that's physical, the vibrant was way too light and seemed a little cheap to me as it was all plastic.the g2 will get better along the way, its just too early to tell right now.

I have the T-Mobile version and I've noticed some quirks and was hoping for some answers.
First Google Keyboard, why does it sound like a typewriter instead of the traditional ticking noises heard on the Galaxy S4?
Next is there a way to make WiFi Calling sound better? When I use cellular service the call quality sounds decent but during WiFi it sounds bad.
When I download something why doesn't it show up in downloads? I downloaded a new .apk from tapatalk to help them diagnose a problem with a forum. Went to my download app via app drawer and its not there. Had to go to the download folder via file manager to find it.
How do I access or turn off my clipboard. I use Dashlane and find this to be a huge security flaw. It stores way too many passwords or things.
Cyanogenmod support is this possible?
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk 4
I also have t mobile variant of this phone, and I have not noticed the wifi issue you have explained. In fact it sounds a lot better for me, it might be your wifi itself, slow speeds = lower quality. Only thing I see fit is too get a faster wifi, or better signal. As for cm support its possible we are waiting for unlocked boot loader.
Sent from my LG-D801 using xda app-developers app
Tapatalk download in ANY phone won't show up because of the way it downloads. Dunno about clipboard. And..the phone hasn't been out for two weeks. Wait for more roms.

How much speed is needed for good WiFi calling? Perhaps it is my phone specifically. Typically I get around 50Mbps but for some reason I can't get past 35Mbps. Not sure what's going on.

Well I just got a replacement phone and it sounds the same. The guy at T-Mobile says he hears it too but doesn't think its bad. He thinks its just the way its designed. He went ahead and gave me a replacement just to "appease" the customer I'm sure but at the end of the day it sounds the same.

Hey guys,
I received my Note 3 yesterday and I have a few questions. I noticed that there is a 4G logo on the backcover. Before deciding on a Note 3 I researched a bit on the device and in all of that time I never noticed any videos or pics with a 4G branding at the botton of the back cover. I was wondering if this is normal? I also noticed that the box that it came in didn't have a sticker noting which region sim card I was to activate it with. I'm wondering if my device is the real deal. Also does anyone know of a easy way to remove the sim card? I followed the instructions but I still had to end up using a knife. Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
The 4G "branding" is normal
/CK
You do not say what version of the Note3 you have or where you bought it. My European 9005 does not have a 4G logo. The different back cover and the absence of the sticker would suggest that maybe you have the 16Gb Far Eastern version.
The Sim card is quite a tight fit and does not seem to have the 'spring' that some similar sockets have.

This is normal. My Note 3 N9005 has LTE stamped on the back instead of 4G. it's probably just samsung's way to tell the less tech savvy ppl out there that this is a 4G enabled phone.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was a bit concerned. On the topic of the sim card. Does anyone know of a easier way of removing it?
For some strange reason I can not get to www.dailynews.com on my LG G2 using Chrome browser. It just happens on the G2 and no other phone. Can someone test if they can pull up www.dailynews.com on their LG G2 with Chrome. This is even after a hard reset and first thing I attempt to do.

There's a site I visit regularly and it no longer loads on this phone either
LG G2
I got my original at&t g2 warranty replaced by at&t. After boxing up the original and shipping it off, I noticed the new phones screen seem to be different. Seems this grid is easily visible and I don't remember ever seeing this on the other phone. If it was on the other phone it wasn't nearly as easy to see as on this one.
Is this normal because I don't think the other phones screen was like this? Is this a referb that they used a different screen on?

I have the same grid on my freshly delivered upgraded g2, so it's probably normal.
Yep, had that the first couple of days on mine as well. I can't tell if my screen protector is doing a good job of hiding it, or it just went away after a couple of uses, but it seems to be gone now.
