I tried it on my S4 if it would work. It did, but since it does not have the option of 480 (S4's default value) it can't revert it back to default. Then I installed build.prop editor from the Play Store and it did the job. Saying just in case someone else may experience it too.

I have found a way to get hbo go app working on the transformer eee . Download version 1.4 of hbo go apk. When you open program and it says not supported do not hit close program. Instead press the multitasking menu button and change to another program. Then change back to hbo go and it will be ready for you to enter your hbo log in credentials........Enjoy some game of thrones on your transformer.

same issue here. super annoying
Same problem on another Note 4
The Accessibility setting makes no difference.
After some further investigation I noticed that I have accessibility turned on for both Pebble & Lastpass. Turning those off stops the talking calculator, and it starts again when I turn them back on.

it does the same thing with pushbullet, so i guess you must turn off all app's accessibility to stop the calculator talking. I'll just install another calculator instead

someone said it can be fixed by disable samsung & google TTS...but my note 4 won't let me disable samsung TTS......so i don't know if it works

The only way to turn off the talking calculator is to disable the Pebble or other Services under Accessiblity Option for now.

nahh! i use Greenify and always terminate all apps. when it force closes it changed to Stock :/
Using Greenify to terminate input method is your own fault. Just exclude the input method and things will go fine.

Of course when you "smash" (in other words, force close) the input method you installed, the default will be reset to stock. This is how Android works. Usually when the input method is force closed, it means that the input method has run into a fatal problem. Under this situation, Android system will judge that continue using this input method is unsafe, and will revert to stock as a means of protection.
If you really want it to not revert to stock, just delete the stock input method from /system/app. Theoretically this will leave your input method as the only one installed, therefore it will always be "default". But I'm not sure whether this would work, and even if it works, it will take longer (about 5 seconds) for your input method to come up after you have "smashed" it. See, that's what you get for disturbing how Android works.

Hahah people invent new things, they don't always fall under same things. Hope you understand I figured out anyway... And yeh smash off means force close
Is there Any option to kill the app with long press back button (In Stock ROM) just like we used in custom ROMs.
I also would love to have this.

Ya, I was using this feature for a long time and now I switched to OnePlus 5 and didn't found the option in Stock ROM. If anyone using this feature plz share a tweak or app or method to use this feature.
There is no need to force close an app unless it misbehaves. Android does a great job in memory management.
Xposed. Just know that safety net will never work again.

There's an app called 'buttons mapper' on play store.
For kill action you need root.
And for up to two mapping it's free.

There are apps one needs but they do stuff in background you don't want. For that kill action could come handy.
Like parking apps, that once running track your movements. And upload location on data.

Killing an app with that method doesn't stop background processes.
any other method without root? with shizuku etc maybe?
Go to settings-devolper option-apps
Don't keep activities- on
Background process limit- no background processes
it will kill everything? let's say and the email client i have downloaded from the Play store?
Or if it is not "optimized from the battery menu" it will still run in background even if i check the emails and leave the app?

It ll stop all background running + cached process ( check in background services developer option)
sorry because i am asking again..
even if they are protected somehow by an Option in android ?
it would be very helpful to use this app without having to force kill every time even if you have the option to force it by long pressing the back button.
Key Mapper
from F-Droid can do this, of you mean hardware buttons. Here's the description from the store:
Key Mapper | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository
Unleash your keys! Open source!
f-droid.org
What can be remapped?
* Fingerprint gestures on supported devices.
* Volume buttons.
* Navigation buttons.
* Bluetooth/wired keyboards.
* Buttons on other connected devices should also work.
ONLY HARDWARE buttons can be remapped.
There is NO GUARANTEE any of these buttons will work and this app is NOT designed to control games. Your device's OEM/vendor can prevent them from being remapped.
thank you . i will look for that.
also i am looking with Tsker or Macrodroid, espesially if they support Ladb or Shizuku
Hello! A few users with this phone have sent me feedback about my app not working.
TextAssured is an auto-reply app that can respond to texts, calls, and third-party app notifications while you're busy.
Google Play Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.applauden.android.textassured
Could someone with the Note 9 running Android 8.1 please try out my app and let me know if it works?
The most simple test would be to create a reply profile, turn the service on, and then text yourself to see if you get a reply. (There is an in-app tutorial also)
Thank you for any help.
This is what i have been looking for a while.. Can we set a profile for unknown numbers?

There is something that id prefer, when you turn silent mode on, it put the whole phone on do not disturb..
I'd prefer it to be silent for only selected profile..
Is that something we can do?

Thanks for testing!
As of now, profiles can't be set to reply to specifically unknown numbers only.
And silent mode is app-wide not per-profile
I will add both of these to my long todo list though
Its not app wise its complete phone wise..
It puts the whole phone on do not disturb

Okay, sorry, phone-wise.
As far as my research goes, it's not possible to mute certain apps but not others. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only option is to mute the whole phone or not though do not disturb.
I think someone who works for Google made an app like this, called reply I think. I used on my S9+ and worked very well too
