[REQ] Remove "Verizon Wireless" from lockscreen? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Apologies if this request is not allowed here...
I would like to know how to remove the "Verizon Wireless" text (with preceding icon) from the lockscreen (it appears directly under the clock, by default, I think). Ideally, I'd like to have nothing in this line at all.
Thanks!

disabling email/sms/missed-calls notification on menu bar

hi,
does anybody know how to completely disable the notification for emails, sms and missed calls?
to be clearer: i do not mean the notification bubbles which can be disabled through settings. i mean the notification icons which appear on the menu bar.
any ideas? thanks

Do you mean the HTC Home icons?
i think what he means is the icons that shows up on the top bar along with the start icon, beside the connectivity icon..
here's a snap of it..

Ah yes, you are right!
I think that's the system feature and cannot be disabled.
if you have a look on some today screen replacements (e.g. todaylife) they can suppress the notification icon
mmh todaylife is a net application that sits over the todayscreen, so the notification are still there.
... but they are hidden, i guess? because the author has also rewritten/reskinned the complete top bar. so i can't imagine that the author would allow that notification-icons would popup as they wish.
ya I wish there was a way to get rid of those also
I would imagine (not knowing the particulars), that you would need to hook into the notification message loop and disable from there.
this might be a workaround:
replace those notification icons with pure black icons.
i am not skilled enough to do that, as i think it is the same hazzle like you have when replacing the start-icon on the top bar...

But what about theme usage? On for example blue theme this would be a black square there
sure. that's why it is a workaround and might not be applicable to all users
but at least for black theme users like myself
theres a way....programs like photocontactpro and smsfilter have the option to stop text messages from showing up. don task me how....but they do the magic some how

Title bar text - how to remove it

Hiya
You know the title bar, with the windows icon etc... at the top of the screen. Is there any way of getting rid of the text "Start" ?
Likewise for any program I run, I don't need to know what the program is, cos I ran it - so if I could remove the text in the title bar it would be a bonus.
Cheers.

[WM6.5] Calendar notifier icon in taskbar

I installed a new ROM yesterday (the new sense 2.5 rom on htc site) and I noticed when I make an appointment and I set it to remind me X minutes before the actual event, the icon in the taskbar (a white bell) was new and default.
I use a custom taskbar and I did find the icon in notify.dll, there are 3 icons in that file - 16x16, 21x21 and 32x32. When I am about to replace the 32x32 and press OK (with ResHack) the two other icons dissapear. So I signed the file and put it back to the phone but the notifier is not working at all now, no notification popup (HTC thingy) or an icon in the taskbar.
What should I do? Help me out guys
the file you want to change is notify.dll.XXXX.mui, change the other one back and mod this one...let me know if that works. It should...

[Q] removing label from icons...

my question is, is there some command or app that exists that will remove the label from each icon? so, the gmail icon will have Gmail written under it highlighted in black with white lettering... is there a way i could get rid of the black highlighting and just have the white lettering? thanks.
I don't think you can do it on the stock launcher, but you'll have a better chance doing it on like launcher pro. I know that home replacement can take off the title underneath the icon.
ADW launcher has an option to remove the icon labels, and I'm pretty sure Launcherpro does too.
yeah, i have launcherpro and i'm aware you can remove the labels of each application icon. my question is, can i remove the highlighting from each label, so i'm left with just the white text. thanks, again.

I have confirmed that this works on galaxy s5 using alliance rom. It removed the emergency part. Looking into the alternative password part.
