I have a PIN lockscreen per work exchange policy but some reason I can't display my Owner info even if enable.
Anyone else have this problem?
Side question - anyway to allow widgets on a PIN lockscreen?

I know there are some other threads about this but I just want to be clear.
Currently I use S2U2 to show multiple appointments on my Lockscreen. Actually it's Two lockscreens, as neither of the hacks in Tips 27 works on my phone. I have to go through two Lockscreens to get started.
My question is... is it really hard to hack the standard lockscreen to show more than one appointment at a time?
I mean to my pea-sized brain, it looks like some HTC Chef/Wizard/Master could simply change the '1' to a '5' say, somewhere in the software or registry and vwa-la, multiple (5) Appointments on Lockscreen.
Obviously it's beyond my spanner abilities (otherwise I'd have done it and been hailed as a hero), but some resident genius must know how to do it, surely?
Cheers
I've attached the cab I use to disable the native WM screen lock. I'm not sure offhand if this is the same one as in the tips thread but it definitely works for me.
I have no idea how to change the default WM screen, though, sorry
Thanks hicks, I'll give it a go.
I have Exchange email set up which requires a lockcreen with PIN for security.
I don't actually disagree that a lockscreen is useful as a security measure in this situation, but I'd love to have just the standard Sense lockscreen with multiple Appointments showing.
I think I can use S2U2 with a lockscreen so I'll try it and see how I go.
Thanks Again.
Am I overlooking something here? I can't seem to modify the lock screen if PIN is enabled? My exchange admin requires a PIN code so the lock screen only shows the clock and then the number pad. I can tap and hold the clock and remove it but it comes back, I don't see anywhere to add extra widgets to the lock screen?
Swipe the clock to the right and touch on that BIG plus sign.
Next enter your PIN and you can then add a widget
I've tried that, the clock background gets whit but just kind of tilts to the right a bit, does not move at all. It won't swipe to the right and there is no plus sign. I can hold down and it will shrink but that only leaves me the option to delete. Now opens ok,
kangy, same thing with my Nexus 7, didn't have any plus icon. I'm can remove widget, too. But after unlock/lock circle it appears again and I still have no plus icon.
At least I'm not crazy then I wonder if you disabled the pin, changed the lock screen and put the pin back it would stick. I had to jump back to 4.1.2 for logmein or I would try it out
Sent from my HTC Evo 3D using Tapatalk 2
You're not crazy, it happened to me as well. Frustrating since the only way to remove my pin is to remove my exchange account. Hopefully someone can provide some clarity here
That's strange. I have a pin on my admin lock screan but I can add widgets on it, and allso on the
second user.
This is not an issue with the pin per se it has to do with the Exchange policy. So far I have yet to find a way around it with my exchange administrator. I think it is up to Google to not enforce this daft policy.
I can now get access to the clock (click clock once, PIN PAD highlights, enter PIN, clock opens). But still can't change or add widgets. How's that done?
Definitely has something todo with an exchange account policy. Was experiencing the same problem, deleted my work exchange account, and the widgets reappeared.
Why on earth would any exchange policy alter the ability to see widgets (or take pictures from my galaxy nexus) without logging in first? Really annoying.
my guess is because you can make one of those widgets emails
I was wondering this as well. My work made me install the Google device policy app. One of the policies turns out to be 'disable lock screen widgets'.
Hey guys I've got another question. Does anybody know how to remove the clock from the lock screen?
I've gone through Setting>My Device>Lock Screen and have everything turned off.
I've even downloaded an app called "Lockscreen Policy" which has an option to disable Widget and/or Camera, I've switched both of them off as well. I don't remember the app saying anything about needing root to work.
Really annoying that the stupid clock is covering my Lock Screen Wallpaper especially when the Notification Bar is on the Lockscreen and that has a clock on it anyway.
Thanks in advance.

If you swipe down from the clock it will expand the widget. You can then long press it and drag it to the trash can that appears at the top of the screen.
Be aware, though, that if you do not have any widget there you will just see a screen with a big "+" sign asking you to add a new widget and once the phone locks the clock widget will reappear. The only way to get it to go away permanently is to replace it with a different widget.
Hope this helps.

Yea i just tried it out and see what you mean. I just don't understand the point of it being mandatory to have something. That ****s raining on my customization parade. Thanks for the input.

You should disable the stock lockscreen all together and give WidgetLocker a try. It works really well on my wife's Note 2, and it's super customizable.

I try this and is says "unable to edit in security mode". I understand I may need to "unlock" the phone w/ the security code - but how do I get back to remove the lock screen clock if I do that? I am trying to get Dashclock Widget going, but this is blocking me.
Any thoughts?

Do you have a pattern or PIN lock set? I don't think the widgets work with those.

You are correct. PIN/Pattern doesn't work with other widgets. Thanks man.
Solved it
Hi, folks -- registered just to report that I have solved this problem. Download Minimalistic Text (free), though I'm sure you already have it. Enable Multiple Widgets on the phone, then add a blank Minimalistic Text widget. Delete your clock as described above and enjoy.
even easier: Blank Lockscreen Widget (Play Store)
galaxy s4 lockscreen
This has probably already been mentioned by now but for those still strugglimg with this. Drag down the screen from were the message and clock is. Click the pen looking icon to edit delete txt and uncheck clock if that is not required. Then press save in the top right and your lock screen will be clear :good:

Drag down the life companion message and click edit. Delete text and uncheck clock if also not required then press save. No app or root required just needs to be edited from the lock screen. May need to disable your lock security while you edit. Hope this helps
hide lock screen clock Android 4.3
Hey guys,
I recently got a Note 3 discovered that you cannot remove the lock screen clock. Simply doesn't allow you the option to.
But I found a way to hide it using the "personal message" feature.
Turn personal message on in the lock screen options menu.
Simply uncheck the clock and date boxes and space across a single character (as it won't allow you to have no text but will allow you a space which is invisible anyways..) and then hit save.
So then the next time you go to wake up your phone the lock screen clock will be gone!
I really don't like the way you are literally forced to have a lock screen clock!?!?
I often change my lock screen and desktop wallpapers and don't like the screen to be cluttered with text I don't want to see..
I have only tested this method on my Galaxy Note 3 so I am unsure if this will work on other Android phones..
Also what I have found strangely enough is normally there would be a half to one second lag for the display to sleep when I lock the phone.
This lag seems to have all but gone now that I specified a personal message (even though its blank) and hid the clock & date. Bonus!!
Hope this helps. Apologies if this has been previously covered..
Have fun!

Thanks so much for this now if I can just find away for it not to show that you have a text message on the lock screen things will be great.
FIxed.
Hay guys.
Sorry for the late reply. But I found a way to remove everything on lockscreen...
Date, time and also the unlock icon and rings.
But for now to remove clock simply allow lockscreen widgets then download zooper widget and replace your stock clock widget with an blank zooper widget.
Hope i helped.
[Rooted Phone] I found this xposed module and it's working fine http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ssrdroide.lockscreenclockmods
HI all,
As far as I can tell you cant use lock screen widgets with pattern or pin lock. The lock screen widgets can only be used if swipe is enabled Am i missing something here? I've played around with all the lock screen options and they disappear as soon as I change the security to pin or pattern. This really sucks
Thanks for pointing that out man! I was already wondering why that is so. But swipe = no security! Wow, Samsung, really?
While I found reviews on YT about lock screen widgets, I didn't pay attention if that was why they got it to work.
Yeah that really sucks.. i hope someone finds a workaround for this
Here is the workaround, at least on the S3.
You have to enable swipe AND pattern. See this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240376

Such a thing isn't available in my settings. Could you provide a screenshot with Android 4.2.2?
As I stated, this is how it is on the S3 (running 4.1.2) - it may not be the same for the S4. You have to check the box next to "With Swipe Lock", then, in the S3 at least, you have the option to set up the lockscreen and widgets. So in S3, you have to swipe, and then do the pattern. YMMV.
I can't post a screenshot - the hosting websites are blocked where I am.

I know what you are talking about bud, I have that option in my Note 2 but it doesn't exist on S4.

Doesn't work for me either. Quite disappointing as widgets and a lock should be standard.
While I have a pattern security? Just noticed that if I turn on "Pattern" security, that I can't have any lockscreen widgets, it will just revert to the stock Samsung clock with "Life Companion" (stock Samsung lockscreen). I was able to have both on the S3. I guess they saw it as a "security issue" or something? Is there a work around?
That and the "smearing" on dark screens are my only 2 gripes with the device.... other than that this thing is freakn sick!
Also, whenever I get a text message (and my screen is locked, with no security) by default it goes to a lockscreen screen telling me I have a new message. I have DashClock widget installed so that is not needed. But it won't let me delete that lockscreen because it only appears when I have a new message. Is there any way to disable that??
A stock S3 doesn't even support widgets cause it doesn't have 4.2.2
And it would contradict. Why lock your phone to hide info when you're just going to display it on the lockscreen?

Obviously talkin bout AOSP ROMs :silly: !
But I guess... like I said I assumed it was a security "issue". Although I have no issue with it. They should at least have an option for it! Do you have any idea about the other thing I said?

I would like to lock my phone so that somebody without the pin/password can't get in to read my Emails, or review my files on cloud storage accounts, or send Emails/text messages out pretending to be me - etc.
But I would still like lockscreen widgets so that I can see my personal calendar events on the lockscreen (which shows only subject line - and requires password to go into details), or how my stocks are performing, or the ability to launch the camera app (not view old photos though) - all without having to enter the password.
It is a stock android feature that I sorely miss on the S4
