I'm running CM 10.1, stable version. Whenever I reboot or shutdown, a white pop-up message will appear right before the screen goes dark. The problem is, I can't read it because of the "shutting down" message in front of it. In portrait, I can't tell what the pop-up says at all, but in landscape, the only words I can see are "Database file...". I don't think I can take a screenshot either because phone is in the middle of shutdown. Any way I can capture what this error message is saying or has anyone else experienced this? I am running Tasker if that can help debugging. Thank you.

Hi there.
I have been having problems with my Touch HD when I get a text message.
If the phone is locked and the screen is off, when a message is received, it doesn't make a noise, but the green light flashes to show an indication.
When i press the button to turn the screen back on, the message sound plays, but a message appears saying:
A problem has been encountered with tmail.exe.
Do you wish to send report etc to microsoft.
I have also found that messages sent to me in the morning before i turn the screen back on don't come through at all, and i just get the tmail.exe error.
I'm not too sure why this is happening.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what it could be, and how I can stop it happening?

I'm not sure if anybody has had this issue before but whenever I activate the camera from the lock screen widget (sliding the top of the lock screen left), 1 out of every 10 times or so, the phone locks up to a black screen and then maybe 20 seconds later goes back to the menu with a pop-up that says "unfortunately the camera has stopped" (or something along those lines).
does this occur to anyone else? is this a symptom of faulty hardware and i should look into getting the phone replaced? or is it simply faulty firmware that samsung has to update eventually?

i personally would try a factory reset and if it doesnt fix the problem get it replaced immediately
Hi. I recently cracked my screen, and now the lower 30% of the the touch screen does not work.
I tried to factory reset the device to see if that would have any results, but unfortunately the issue remains.
When restarting the phone, there's a "Make yourself at home" popup, asking to drag apps from the app-bin, or press the "Okay" button.
Unfortunately the screen doesn't rotate on this dialog, and I cannot figure out how to remove it/skip it.
Any suggestions? I'd like to at least partially use the phone in case of emergencies or something until LG gets back to me on a repair.
Me also having same problem stuck can't go to home screen. any suggestion!!
Hi, my S5 started to exhibit some strange behaviors a few days ago. It won't go to sleep. While on a call, the screen keeps turning on no matter how close the phone is to my face. A small popup keeps appearing toward the bottom of the screen that simply says 1028. It pops up once or twice per minute. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening?

I dont really know when it started, but when I am trying to quick access the camera via tapping the powerbutton twice while the phone is locked, the camera app pops up but the screen stays black. Hitting the HomeButton and the powerbutton twice again lets the camera app pop up again, this time showing a picture.
Sometimes it even works like it should on the first time, but most of the time it doesnt. Anyone else having this behavior?
Any recommendations? Running entirely on current stock firmware.

I've had this happen once maybe twice, the camera doesn't seem to wake just the app so you have the app showing but no image from the camera. Screen lock is set tell use pin on my phone. I'd guess it's a bug.
Could try turning the lock screen off see if it still happens.
I can confirm this behavior. But I cannot reproduce it systematically. Sometimes it works sometime not.
