Accidentally deleted LGSystemUI.apk - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyway I can restore it? I can still access root explorer so maybe someone can upload it if that's possible.

Here you go!

If you're asking me about what happens when you remove the apk, I have no idea anymore. I've had three other phones since I had the G2. I don't even remember posting that to be honest. But I do know it messed something up. Sorry I couldn't help.

Not sure if this is still working, or if some variants need different methods, but this was at one time working on all US variants at minimum:

Yeh, Thanks this i know. I was curios if it's possible to delete the Qslide from the system or maybe only a few apps that i don't want to have on Qslide.

Removing these 4 links permanantly?

Hello,
These 4 links keep cropping up;
htc_people.ink
htc_calender.ink
htc_music.ink
htc_footprints.ink
Even though I have deleted them from windows/startmenu/programs.
I heard there was a registry fix to delete them permanently, was wondering if anyone can help?
Thanks.

I havent found it yet, so i use a PC Tool instead, that pulls the framework files for me, i just take the APKs from the system/app and deodex them with the tool. Then i put the Deodexed system apps back.

[HELP THREAD] EasySetting CloudyFlex 2.3

Hello guys, im using CloudyFlex 2.3.
Yesterday i downloaded LgEasySettings from here: lgviet.com/forum/threads/chia-se-ung-dung-lg-g3-download-g3-apps.19818
And now I cant oppen settings. What i need to do? Someone could backup your system apk?
Thanks and sorry for my horrible english.
Just reinstall CloudyFlex and it will be fine.
Have the same problem for some reason. Is it possible to just instal stock lgeasysettings.apk? I cant find it.
It's not a problem. It's a LG G3 app.. ...
You need to ask someone to port it over. Why do you make problems where there are no problems ?
It wont work on any g2 rom. Not yet.
@matheusvp0 - delete LgEasySettings first from either /system/priv-app or wherever you find it. Then reinstall the CF.
I know it's not LG G2 problem I just called it that.
Can someone post Lgeasysettings.apk from the original lg g2, please?

It doesn't go that way.
You need to put it manually to /system/app and chmod properly
or first remove the one in /system/app then try installing

you have to be rooted.
I see people are fixing the issue by going to settings, apps, then all apps, find the "updated" app and select uninstall updates.

I saw that but there's no option for that for Settings app. Would factory reset help?
Since you're not rooted and you don't have custom recovery, it should help, yes. Backup needed files first

It's kinda strange cause I can't access to 4 tabs settings menu by pressing the settings icon in notification screen, but when I go to voice mate and say open apps and then settings it's opening settings but with list view.

Autorun management on Android Lollipop

Ever since updating my Nexus 5 to Android 5.0, I've found that you can't manage startup. I tried Clean Master, Autostarts, and Autorun Manager, but none of them works.
Please assist me in finding a solution. Thanks.
Anybody? Well, can the "Autorun" in the thread title be changed to "Startup" at least?

you can use app ops, the lastest version can do that
Do you mean the one by Lars Team? I just tried that, but disabling an autostart doesn't stick, it's enabled again when I recheck.

Yeah, the settings don't stick for me either, at least the auto start.

you can use this app to remove the permissions and it does not require root too..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.heagoo.apkpermremover&hl=es_419
Does that manage startup entries? Doesn't look like it, and App Ops seem to manage permissions fine.
Greenify?

You can remove the unnecessary permissions like boot with the phone...
Greenify is an option, but I'd rather not depend on another running process... Oh well, have to make do with it for now.
Just tried APK Permission Remover. It requires you to uninstall, then reinstall the app. Too much trouble keeping up-to-date.
Simply deactivate the app.

Just flash Pie Patch
you should just flash the pie patch via recovery, it solves a lot of the problems root apps have in lollipop, including the startup one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/fix-bypassing-pie-security-check-t2797731
Sounds risky and unclear, maybe someone else can try?

I agree, you should try it first, let us know how it goes...
What do you know, they just started working again for me... Didn't patch anything, just updated normally.
Autostarts has been updated to support lollipop.
Kingroot, but its also do more than I need.

This should be stitch. I like the small world one better. I might try and extract it from a lollipop system image if I have time.

I could make them TWRP flashable. I'll try and get around to it.
If you're putting it in /system/media/bootanimation.zip and it still isn't working it might be a permissions problem. 644 is how it is supposed to be set.

I understand now, I long pressed the boot animation folder with total commander and set the properties to 644 applied and it's working now, thanks.
I've been looking for the small world one and I can't find it.

Here's small world. Extracted from a lollipop twrp backup. I liked this one way better than stitch.
I'm actually using it now for a change instead of the April fools yeti.

Hey there buddy, I was reading this thread and it seems to be what I am sort of looking for. I have a XT1572 and have never updated the software as I liked the boot animation (sounds silly)
Anyhow, the phone seems to be having issues now and I really need to update the OS but want to retain the startup animation. I believe it is small world, the one that shows the globe with a plane flying over it etc.
Is this possible and if so how please.
Max
