My Bluetooth LG HBS-730 connected with LG G2 D802, firmware version D80210b-ESA-XX.
Everything is ok, but voice dialer (briefly press call button in BlueTooth) is not working.
My LG G2 Voice Mate give error message "Connected Device doed not support Support Bluetooth Voice Recognition. Please disconnect Bluetooth then try again".
In other Phone (S4 & Note2), all function running well, so it is not Bluetooth problem.
Is anyone have similar problem?
Are there some setting need to configure so Voice Dial can work?
Nvm, it isvthr ROm seem no support thr voice dial, try with other BT same result. Waiting for the update, if any.

I have the same problem
I've tried with many roms and only with stock rom working perfect

OK -- Froyo is supposed to have Bluetooth Voice Dial -- but apparently it is disabled on the Desire Z.
I've seen some references that it might be enabled on North American phones, but on my Euro Desire Z it doesn't work. I click on my bluetooth headset button and nothing happens.
For now, I've installed Choice Dialer, and it works (you have to restart the phone after installing first)
You could try asking in the G2 forums if it works for them ?
Edit - sounds like it does work on the G2, might be worth trying what they suggest ? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811105

Doesn't work on my Desire Z -- I tried variations of short presses and long presses.
i have a nokia bt speakerphone which works to activate the voice dailing. it was finicky to get started but it worked.
the g2 rom handles voice dialing much better
I just switched from Winmo to Android and I'm having a very aggravating issue with android. I can not find a voice command application that will not search the internet before it decides to make a call. I'm wondering if there's a voice command application that I can get that will not require the internet to work?
my second problem right now is, trying to activate this voice command by using the multifunction button on my bluetooth (Jabra bt8010). Pressing it activates my stereo music function even when i did not activate the music function mode. I'm not sure what is going on with it, but I'm wondering if there's a way around it.
I'm currently using Virtuous Rom 1.01.
I did a search and did not find any hits so if I happen to miss the thread for it, please link it and I'll head there.
Thanks.
My problem is when i press the voice dial button on my bluetooth headset (Sound ID 510) the headset prompts me to give a command but my phone does not respond to the command that way. The only way it works is when i press the app from the actual phone! And i know it works with the headset cause it works on my Curve i have!
Does anyone know of a way to make it respond when i touch the button from the headset?? I would greatly appreciate the help!
I am using Virtuous 0.9.0 Sence Rom and i have searched everywhere for an answer!
Edit: After trying for a couple days of how to fix this problem I just restarted my phone after posting this and everything picked up--go figure!!

With my Jabra Extreme, I'm using Choice Dialer on my Desire Z
http://choicedialer.com/
Hey, i just took a peek at the choice dialer. It seems very promising. Ill check it out tonight. Thanks!

Update: choice dialer is freakin awesome. I am now able to use my bluetooth's mfb to make calls without have to touch the phone! That and it works even when the phone is locked.
Thanks a bunch for such a great app suggestion!!!!

For some reason, pressing the phone button on my Bluetooth headset (Scala Rider), will not launch google now, or any other app on my LG G2. It seems like the phone do not recognize the headset as handsfree kit.
Anyone has an idea how to solve this issue? I’ve checked the headset set with some other phones (GALAXY 3, Optimus G) and it worked fine.
thanks,
same problem here

Hi, I have the same issue! I've been searching for a solution for a while without success.
I have contacted the LG support and they confirm to me that there is no voice call function through bluetooth headsets.
My model is LG G2 (Stock SW Version D80210a-EUR-XX).
The following are the attempts have made:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476080&page=5 (post 43)
NOTE: I have Google Now instead of Google search and I use Cyberon Voice Commander instead of Voice Dialer
-I've tried Bluetooth Launch
-I've tried VoiceDialerLauncher.apk (Post 10 Quote: "It is because phone launch MIC_VOICE_COMMAND intent action instead of VOICE_COMMAND. I wrote small application that intercept MIC_VOICE_COMMAND and run VOICE_COMMAND. I tried it with motorolla Voice Commands (installed on system partition) and it is works fine.")
-I've tried Tasker AUTOVOICE!
I think the solution is quite simple, for example with an xposed module, but we have to make our request to be take into account seriously.
Please keep us in touch if we found a solution!
Hi, I have the same problem. Has anyone been able to fix this?
I tried to copy all Bluetooth files from a D801 ROM with no luck... Phone is Bricked, if anyone can help im sure its easy to enable HFP in our version.
Hi Guys, got a solution for you... Sort of...
What I found you can do is remap the redial action on your headset/car to activate the voice dialer app. Just download an app called "Smart Bluetooth Headset" by Yassen Dobrev https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yado.btbut
Then set it to remap the Redial Button to open your favorite voice dialer.
This might not be what we where looking for but it will do the trick handsfree.
Best
I have the same problem; the phone button does not work in both my intercom-headset (Sena SMH5) inside my helmet and in my car stereo bluetooth hands free phone.
I tried changing this file /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf as in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1023193 but no luck
I heard that with CyanogenMod roms there is not this problem, but I prefer to stay with the stock rom.
Anyone has come up with a solution?

Old threat, still same problem

Bluetooth voice dialing works on the D800 stock ROM. However, I would really like to use one of the Flex ROMs, or even one of the other G2 ROMS (which most use international as base), as my DD, but I can't get bluetooth voice dialing to work on any of them. Has anyone got it to work on a non-D800 ROM, or is it due to a change LG made in the framework, and it simply isn't possible? Thanks!
I have two problems
First problem:
When i get my phone I tried to connect Bluetooth handset
I tried to connect many of Bluetooth handset Different brands
But isn't worked
It connected perfect . but when i making a call not hearing any thing and other not hearing me.
Second problem:
Handfree suddenly disrupted
Is working one ear
iam changed the socket handfree in mobile . and changed handfree but same problem i have .
What ROM are you using? What is the modem? Go to dialler and press *#1234# and attach the screenshot here.
Make yourself more clear if you want to get fast and proper solution.

I've let download a lot of roms (lollipop & kitkat ) and still the same problem
I'm assuming you enabled the option to use it for calls? (It's disabled by default)
Settings > Bluetooth > Gear icon for the paired device > Call audio.
