Yeah, but actaully it would be nice if Oppo developes an AOSP Rom for the find5.
Optimized with Dirac HD/Dolby.

Maybe you should give it a try on the oppo forums.
I don't think they'll release anything "official" for the Find5 anymore.

First of all codefirexperiment (CFXE) have a function switch named AOSP mode, that will simply give you a pure AOSP rom, and if you switch back all settings comes back.
2nd. i get why you would like Dirac, but thats not going to happend unless its directly ported as those beats audio are. So in cfxe, there will never be dirac or dolby, but you will have your google edition rom

Any Developer Interested in A Official Cyanogenmod Rom?

I noticed lately that the supported devices officially for cyanogenmod is getting bigger and bigger, so maybe one of you guys can talk to cyanogen bout joinin his team.. i remember from his website he had this to say recently:
"A lot of people ask me about adding support for their phone, but we can only support phones that we actually own. The CM team is always looking for new hackers to join up with us to add support for their favorite device. Get in touch with me if you’d like to help."
I know that there is roms pretty much quality and as up to date as an official cyanogenmod, but these roms are only limited by the website its on. unfortunately not everyone knows about xda (shocking thought, since im on here daily).
i hope the big devs for the eris reads this, for im sure its a good idea.....
Honestly the Roms that get handed out here are better than Cyanogen in that the people that make them implement their own tweaks inside the core of the rom that make them better. I personally WOULD use an official Cyanogen rom because who knows maybe its more stable and all, but still.
Since he already plays the role with his kernel and vendor tree, I vote for Canop
Canop for Cyanogenmod!

I vote Conap too! lol
I'm not really sure of much added benefit from "official" cm releases other than the ability to flash a nightly build every day. Most of the devs build their rom directly from cm source or port the nightles. With the way it is now you have a choice of many custom cm roms whereas some devices with "official" cm support only have the cm release.

I've wondered about this too, but like others have said... We are probably better off the way it is now or at least not any worse off. The Hero builds are relatively easy to port and building from source has been worked out pretty well, so it doesn't really matter if we have an 'official' one.
+1 for Conap.
I would like to see an official build.
I vote for Conap, gnarlyc, SikYou & me... let's take over the world guys!!! lmao

the whole point of having it officially done is to not only have a way wider audience, but also to have all the setup for anyone to compile.. it really opens up the development of a device...

Quoth Wikipedia:
CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for over forty cell phones and tablets based on the open-source Android operating system.
It offers features not found in the official Android-based firmwares of vendors of these devices, including native theming support (also known as the "T-Mobile Theme Engine"), a codec for the Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC), compressed cache (compcache), a large APN list, an OpenVPN client, a reboot menu, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB tethering, toggles in the notification pull-down (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and many more), as well as other enhancements. CyanogenMod was also the first mobile OS to incorporate BFS as the task scheduler, a change that has been merged into experimental branches in the official Android source tree.
CyanogenMod claims to increase performance and reliability over official firmware releases.

So yeah, it offers a lot of features not included in official ROMs, and very useful ones indeed. But if you don't plan on using them / don't need to, I guess it's better to stay on stock? That's up to you to decide, after balancing out the pros and cons.
You should also keep in mind that you might void your warranty if you choose to install a custom ROM.
In my opinion, SE stock ROM is better than most other vendors', but CyanogenMod is the best.

im also very interested as to which phones will be supported...but not only that but how easy will it be to get your device supported...im over in Asia and there aren't variants that aren't well supported by the major custom rom developers like AOKP, CM, Panandroid....which makes it really hard and sucks to get in on the "open source" goodness...i hope Omni is easy to bring to a large selection of phones...
EDIT: ok, well that makes sense the vanilla versions...just hope its easier to get more on board...

If you can get AOSP to run on your device, you should be able to get Omni to run. Currently, a device tree needs nothing significant beyond an AOSP tree (I think about 3 lines of changes to make an AOSP tree work in Omni). This means work on porting Omni is helpful to those wanting AOSP as well.

I wont agree. If you see AOSPA are the first custom rom which adds not only new features but improves core stuff as well. The camera and new post processing algorithm for example is better than OOS which is a huge step also the color engine though in its infancy is very good and is building on top of OOS theme engine. They have also fixed the voice call drain using custom firmware. So there are things they have done right and improved stuff. So I guess AOSPA has started right. If they can just continue making solid improvements its would be a fantastic idea.

Improved camera quality is a big boast. I don't think they'd do it if they couldn't back it up. It's been sitting on my internal storage waiting to be flashed. I think I'm going to back up tonight and flash my first custom rom tomorrow. That's really and truly a testament to OxygenOS as well as Paranoid Android.
Is it true that Android O would have native substratum theme enabled, thereby negating the need for rooting the phone? Can someone confirm?

Yes let's hope so. My intentions was to know whether this would be available on stock rom's or just custom rom's. I think Oxygen OS is above par as compared to the best smartphones out there when it comes to stock rom so this would be a stellar addition as and when it happens, or lets say if it happens.
