I am also interested!
Wanam's Xposed has shutter sound removal. Seems to work fine but you still get the focus lock sound when touching to focus. Shutter sound and video record start/stop are gone now though.
Do have any explanation about why EVERY first Samsung rom has this problem?
You need to get rid of the ogg files (shutter.ogg for example) but you must be rooted to perform this task.

It isn't legal in some places to turn off the shutter sound.
Just turn the volume down with the volume rocker. There you go. No sound from the camera. Easy

Goto /system/csc/others.xml or feature.xml. open this file using root browser editor and add below lines between <featureset> lines
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
Save file and set permission -rw-r--r--
This will provide shutter sound option in camera app.
Also take backup first.

WOW OK GUYS JUST OPEN UP YOUR camera app and hit your soft key settings then go to the far right tab scroll to the very bottom and you will find the shutter on and off option. No need to root or download any additional apps.

So i was wondering since webcam can be calibrated to 60 Hz or to 50 Hz frquency country (I'm speaking of the electric AC current Hz that some countries differ from each other), so if it is possible for webcams is it possible for the camera implemented in the defy?
the reason it annoys me is because when taking picture or video indoors the florescent light blinks at 50 Hz and the camera is calibrated to 60 Hz causing weird moving lines in the picture.
is there any configuration file i can change so it will happen? or any firmware file i can replace?

thats odd there should.be four options off 60hz 50hz and auto
if you only see off, antibanding is not supported by your device or its handeled internal
it will also only work on displays refresh rate. not on neon lights as sample.
if its handeled internal you will see the difference when you focus on the screen.
then the refreshs lines disappears. if not you are out of luck

Viper4Android allows you to customize headphone sound and phone speaker sound separately just like a few other equalizer/sound mod apps do. It's available in the Play Store and it works wonders. The sound I got out of my old phone (S3) and my current phone (Note 3) with V4A made a huge undeniable difference.
Link to download the .apk and install from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vipercn.viper4android4x&hl=en
It has multiple types of volume boost functions along with a great equalizer and many other useful features.

"Ok, Google" doesn't work for me.. When I go to Settings > Voice, I don't have offline speech recognition option.. Will it work outside of USA?
tnx it works great for me, everything works now, even speech search, and I'm using an optimus 2x droid 4.3 :good:
Camera isnnt working
After flashing the GoogleHomeV2 on my Nexus 4 by recovery, the google search kept reporting error afterwards. After install the Google Search and Play Services and clearing all the default settings of luanchers, it went back to normal. However, the original factory camera app was gone, and i had to use a third party camera app instead.
Thank you for uploading the launcher and hope that this bug could be fixed soon.
