just use DX (MB810) ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/4.5.621 it will not flash the radio

Many thanks.
But since the phone got brick now, just showed something like "Err: A5,70,70,00,1F" there, can not be turn on.
turn phone on, connect to pc with usb cable
check usb debugging (settings/apps/development)
select charge only usb mode in top status bar
So how to follow these steps

that's only for rooting, just leave in bootloader to flash sbf firmware

How to verify? I download "1FF-p3a_shadow_cdma_shadow-user-2.3.4-4.5.1_57_DX8-51-120111-test-keys-signed-Verizon-US.sbf" from some website like rapidshare.

I will check. Thanks!
Btw, the battery keep saying low (flashing).
Will it be ok to connect with wall charger? Or using usb to connect with PC?

you can not flash with low battery
you need a spare battery, a spare battery charger or a TBH factory cable adapter

Sad.
Can not change either way?

Hi, sd_shadow
I got new charger and rooted the phone according the manual. I got some error like this on the phone screen:
Critical Eror:
FEBE
0047
But it went through after a while and finally rooted (I think should be rooted).
But when I want to install some costomazied rom, no matter liberty3 V2.0 or MINU, the same error came out:
Signiture verification failed!
Do you know why? Many thanks!

sounds like you are using android recovery not cwm?
or there is a kernel check on those roms

What phone D2 or D2 G and which SBF did you use?
I assume you used the 2.2.00 sbf when you needed the 2.3.20 SBF once you have the 2.3.20 update the bootloader is changed and won't accept the 2.2.0 sbf.
IF that's the case you need to try flashing it with the 2.3.20 SBF found HERE
Read the bottom of THIS post if you get a bootloop or stuck at the M logo screen.

You probably flashed the wrong SBF. You need to find the latest DX SBF they should be found in the DX section of XDA. Off the top of my head I can't think of the latest release.

I have a similar problem. I just got this phone and dont know the history other than the ESN is clear with vzw. It goes str8 to the BL screen and has this...
Bootloader
D2.35
Battery OK
OK to program
Tranfer Mode: USB
I Dloaded RSD lite 4.7 an the 2.35 BL sbf as well as the orig 2.2 and 2.3 FW sbf's. RSD will communicate with the phone. I can reload the BL sbf if I open the sbf file but none of the FW sbf will load in RSD, the start button command stays grayed out. Also in RSD on line 1 of the phone status it shows connected but above that in the device properties box info for the meid/esn etc show N/A.
I can access the recovery menu and at the bottom there is an error report for accessing recovery cache in a folder path.
Can I put an update.zip on an sd card and try to revive this thing that way or maybe I am doing something wrong? I am guessing this is the result of some botched flash job.
I have done some modding on my Droid X such as backing it up, deodexing and put the Liberty ROM on it as well and changing ROMS on my android tablet so I have some of the basics down but after much searching & reading I am seeking help with this one. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Now my battery is dead, I have found in other threads that a blank software device wont charge the battery if this helps

Maybe try flashing in linux and make sure you have read up about flashing SBF's on a DX. I don't know which one to flash as this is the D2 section and I have a D2.

That would work if you can find an update.zip made by moto that will go through the bootloader. And it doesn't really matter how it got here but probably it is a bad flash or a wrong ROM. (You might try connecting it via wall charger (not USB) while it's powered down then turn it on and see if you can get into clockwork recovery.)

You need to find someone with a DX to swap/charge your battery with so you can get in and flash it or you need an external battery charger (one that will charge the battery outside of the phone).

Oh. In that case you need the 2.3.20 SBF found here http://droid2files.com/tools/VRZ_A955_2.3.20_1FF_01.sbf after you can get the phone charged. (If it helps the D2 has the same size battery as the D1 so you can swap/charge a D2 battery with a D2 or a D1.)
Also try finding RSDLite 4.8 or 4.9 as they might work better for you. I'd give you a link but I Haven't flashed an SBF with RSDlite I just use linux.

Cool thank you again. I got the battery charging via a rig I have done before with other devices from a camera charger. My linux(zorin) machine lost keyboard function out of the clear blue I havent had a chance to sort it yet(another project lol) but I do have a live usb thumb drive setup to use for linux. I'll try on this windows machine for now.
I'll keep you posted as to the results
well I got the battery charged up. I still have this problem when I select either the 2.2 or 2.3 sbf files the start button for applying the flash stays grayed out as if the files are invalid. If I select a bootloader sbf the start button is ok and I can load the BL sbf. I tried switching to rsd 4.8 too. I will keep playing around with it and maybe try to get my linux pc going.
Ok well even tho I had a few copies of the sbf files I went ahead and dloaded the one you linked. It would load in the rsd app but when I hit start to apply I get.... "Failed Flashing Process (0x7100) and this happens right away

You might need to put the file in the C: drive of your windows box. At least that's what a another forum post found from a Google search suggested.
Or try linux Check here for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=804088. It's an old version of Ubuntu and there are somethings I want to add to it, I'll be updating it as soon as I have some free time to put it together using the 10.10 version.
I found this link... http://androidforums.com/droid-all-...-failed-flashing-process-0x7100-rsd-lite.html check out post #32
It does make a difference where the file is located yes and I got the sbf to perform the flash but after a lengthy process looks like about 3 steps and it takes 3-5 min I end up with a fail messege. There is more info I could provide but its been a long Monday I need to give it a break and now the batt is low again.
Thank you all again for your much appreciated help. I will regroup tomorrow. I will try to log in on my phone to see any ideas I mite need to think over.

I found out that error 0x7029 usually related that the .sbf file is not in the C:\ root folder. So I moved it there.
Then I couldn't hit "start" after selecting the .sbf file because "start" was greyed out. I found a post here explaining how to fix it.
Follow his steps completely and it'll solve this problem.
Give RSD a little time to see your phone too. The first time I ran it, I had to wait about a minute until it populated, now it comes right up. I had a terrible time getting it to work though... Just keep tryin'!

[Q] Can't delete anything on my internal memory!

Hello! I'm a proud owner of a Milestone 2 (I don't know if this goes to Droid 2 or Droid 2 Global ) and I have a quite big problem:
My phone was running very bad, a lot of FC and slowness so I decided to wipe, so I did, went to recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, all done perfectly.
Reset the phone and what happened? Everything was exactly the same as before, I tried to deleted applications and when I restart the phone they appear all again and random resets.
I went mad and installed a .SBF with RSDLite, it completed and failed at checksum group errors and bricks my phone to "CRITICAL ERROR: DE A1" screen.
I revived my phone by installing the .SBF through booteable Ubuntu, but it's ALL the SAME as before.
I would love all the help you could give me and sorry for my bad english.
Greetings.
EDIT: I'm really sorry! I didn't know there was a Milestone 2 section.

Nope yet. I used the SBF Flashing in Linux with Ubuntu Live CD with the Brazil GingerBread sbf for Milestone 2 (also tried UK)
If I try to flash with RSD Lite won't pass the CHECKSUM ERRORs and bricks my phone to CRITICAL DEA1, with Ubuntu won't pass checksums without errors but it boots.

The checksums matched (I was checking the .sbf decompressed when I should checking the compressed one), but nothing, tried 2-3 sbfs (slow internet, downloading them takes forever) and the same as before, if done through RSDLite Bootloader with Code Corrupt and if done through Ubuntu all is same as before.
Thank you for the fast reply.

[Q] Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure

I'm in over my head and hoping the kindness of a stranger can bail me out! It all started when I attempted to root my wife's Razr M from Verizon. I used a utility (the DROID_RAZR_Utility_Jellybean_XT912_WinMacLin.zip) to attempt an update and then a root. Well the update failed and now I see this when the phone starts up.
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
usb connected
So I figured out that I can get to BP Tools and this somehow bypasses the problem and boots the phone normally. So as long as my wife doesn't turn the phone off, she'll be fine but I cannot leave it this way. I am open to suggestions and at your mercy. Thanks in advance!

What caused the update to fail? Also, you're lucky btw - Normally a failed update == a brick.
If you didn't root, you can probably take it to Verizon. If you were flashing the OTA and it went bad, that shouldn't be a problem at all...

I followed this video on youtube: youtube.com/watch?v=oDzMQykQ2fA How to Upgrade To And Root Jelly Bean on Droid Razr!
I watched the script run and it kept saying "fail" on several line items and I knew I was in trouble. Unfortunately this was self-induced and I have no desire to go to Verizon for help. I'm not that much of a noob. Anyhow, I'd just like to get back to square one and start over. What I did to get to BP Tools is to hold down volume up, volume down, and power button. Screen shuts off..let those buttons up and press them again which brings me to a second menu. From there I can choose recovery, fastboot, BP Tools, factory reset. The only one that helped was BP Tools which basically sent the phone to a regular boot and it acts normal. If I choose recovery, I get the android dude on his back with a explanantion or question mark, don't recall. If I press volume down, volume up and then release volume up, I can get to the menus where it allows you to run install from disk or something like that. I can't get to the point where I can see my phone on the computer so that I could place a flash file on the phone and re-flash it or something. If any of this sounds remotely familiar to anyone out there, please feel free to add your 2 cents. Thanks!
Try to wipe all user data after you get to the screen where you can install zips in recovery. See if that works. Pm me if you get stuck and we can possibly fix it through adb

You need to flash the stock firmware using RSD or House of Moto. This should be posted over at the HD forums, but the process is essentially the same for any Moto device. There's tons of threads about it. Download the software, download the firmware, connect the phone and flash.

Thanks in advance!

that hasn't been updated in a long time, likely wouldn't work with the bootloader on your device
what bootloader version is on the device (A P Fastboot version)?

[BRICKED] Droid Razr M

Hello! Not sure how this happened. Last night, my girl turned off her Razr M phone and went to sleep. This morning, she tried to turn it on and it was stuck on the "Motorola" logo. After a while, it said that it failed to boot and gave an error. Sent me straight to AP Fastboot mode.
I started researching and somehow the phone is now bricked.
So, my research took me to download RSD Lite and I tried downloading various ROMs and stuff - I'm really new at doing this with Android so bare with me
The latest thing I tried is the PacMan ROM, but RSD Lite gives me the error: "Please check input file. Eithe rxml format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing."
I read somewhere that it's not necessary to use RSD Lite for ROMs, the thing is I can't access my SD card. I don't have a way of getting anything in or out of it. No other devices.
What can I do at this point? I am willing to try anything to get it working again.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this

Open the xml inside the zip you're flashing and remove the line:
Code:
<step operation="flash" partition="partition" filename="gpt.bin" MD5="5B3FD782141145E4BD1C9270D954AFF1" />
Yeah modifying the xml file is necessary, but also make sure your phone is charged above 50 percent. Low battery causes some funky errors with RSD.
Also what version of android were you running? I'd try flashing the new stock KK with RSD to at least get it up and running....then worry about flashing a custom.
The good thing is if you're getting into fastboot, you're not hard bricked and it's salvageable with some work!

Is your boot loader unlocked?
Sent from my XT907 using XDA Free mobile app
Hi,
To answer all the questions:
1- Is your boot loader unlocked? No
2- I've modified the XML file and removed the lines I was advised to remove.
3- Not sure what exact version of Android the device was running, as it's not mine. Also, what is "stock KK"???
4- ezknives, I've read through the post and basically the guy removed lines from the XML file - did that, also uninstalled Moto stuff and installed Motocast. No joy.
Right now, RSD shows the error message "Failed flashing process. 1/16 flash sbl1 "sbl1.mbn" -> Phone returned FAIL."
I am using the 4.4.2 firmware found here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8
Other ideas?
One more bit of info. The eBay seller reports the phone had "Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich" installed when she purchased it. Not sure if she updated it or not, but I don't think so. Does this new information change anything?
EDIT: I downloaded and tried out the 4.0.4 version from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8 but it stops at the same steps, even after editing out the XML file.
Also tried the utility found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207419&page=2 (the latest version).. seems that it does some work but the device still doesn't respond. Gets stuck at Android logo.. and I've tried RSD with all I have (4.0.4 and newwer) but no luck.
OK so.. somehow I managed to flash the stock 4.4.2 version after many tries - using RSD.. it now boots but only to a frozen "M" logo.. and keeps cycling back to it.. any ideas?

Hi, I was able to flash - or so it seems - 4.4.2 but it gets stuck in a loop (motorola logo, turns off, goes back).. unless i put it back in fastboot.
Will unlocking the bootloader help me? I am trying to get Motorola to give me the code/help me with this, as my device does not have USB debugging turned on. But before I continue "fighting" to get the code, I want to make sure i can use it for something. Can you advise me?
Thanks!!!

Re-flash 4.4.2 with RSD Lite one more time. I've read that running it (RSD Lite) twice will help to fix the bootloop issue. As far as unlocking your bootloader, Motorola will not give you a code if you do not own a developer model. You'll need to use Motopocalypse to unlock.

This would be the 4th time successfully flashing 4.4.2 with RSD Lite, but I will do it just to see what happens. About unlocking the bootloader.. it's still not clear to me what I will gain if I can get it unlocked.. Can you enlighten me? Thanks!
