Turning on animations. - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I turned off animations using the dev options but when I turn them back on they no longer work. Is there something that I'm doing wrong or will I have to reset to get them back?

Animation settings Change after turn on

When I turn on my phone it appears that my settings are always on Full Animation, when in fact I have it set to no Animation when I turn it off.
So basically every time I turn my phone I have to turn off Animations. Sure its cool and all, but I'd rather have it simple and not deal with it.
I think I first noticed it when I was tinkering with the font settings and decided I'd rather use the default. I tried the fix permissions in Clockwork Recovery and it didn't seem to correct the issue. I haven't tried any other Roms other than rooting so I don't know if something was changed in the system and maybe after a rom flash it would fix it.
Anyways if anybody has any ideas I'd gladly listen.

Wifi goes off when screen times out

Hi
I have an HTC Desire HD
I have changed a setting somewhere (i remember doing it) which switches off wifi when the screen times out. I did it on purpose at the time thinking it would come on again when the screen was unlocked. Wrong!
The problem is I now can't find or remember the exact setting I changed!
Could be powersaving, wifi, screen lock or any other non-obvious setting!
I have tried everything I can think off. At the moment, everytime the screen goes off, so does wifi. Very annoying
I would really appreciate any help
Mark
I wasn't aware there was an option for this is froyo! Unless you're referring to the WiFi sleep policy? Try menu > advanced when in WiFi settings but I think this only allows you to determine the time out period, not the condition (ie the screen going off)... however, there are apps that will allow you to do this. Are you sure you haven't installed something that's causing this?
Go to wifi and press menu. Its under advanced settings.
Hi
Thanks for your tips. Found it!!
It wasn't in the Wifi, or screenlock settings (I had looked at everything on those!!)
I remembered that had installed the Battery Booster app and then messed with the Battery Teak settings to turn off wifi on screenlock
Actually a handy app, if you set it up properly, which I hadn't!!
Thanks once again for the prompt
Mark
don't forget after change setting hit menu button again to save the change lol

Crt screen off animation glitch

Hi, I think I already found the source of the glitch. Can anybody tried this? If you have the glitch, swtich the phone to the flight mode, and restart the phone back. This to make sure no data and line enable. After the phone restart, now wooola, no more glitch but after you disable the flight mode and enable the wifi, data and so on, the glitch will start back, maybe any developers can find the other way round to solve this?

I'm assuming you mean the "blocky" glitch on the CRT off animation? Everytime you open the Phone Options menu using the power button it will cause the glitch - which can only be fixed by restarting.

[Q] Nexus 4 Screen issues

Good Morning everyone!
I m having an issue with my nexus 4. I turned on developer options and then turned on show pointer option. When I would turn my phone on from sleep there were dots all over the top (right under the status bar) on what seems like the phone touching itself all over the top of the screen. I called google for support and was told that it was a developer options issue and to do a factory reset. Before I do a factory reset I decided to turn off the developer options and the automatic touching is still happening. Any ideas whats going on?
I m running the stock and the phone is not rooted.
Thanks!

[Q] Cannot disable Nexus Demo

I just picked up a used Nexus 7 from gamestop and i seem to be having a few issues with it. Please excuse my ignorance as i am very new to the tablet scene.
Whenever i shut my screen off, the nexus demo appears, i found the option to disable it in the settings, but when i click on it i get returned to the home screen. I also noticed that with certain things i try to click on, such as the settings shortcut in the notification bar, i get returned to the homescreen.
I factory reset through bootloader/recovery, since i dont know the vendor ID to reset it through the settings menu.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to shut that demo off / fix the "return to homescreen bug"?

Gamestop most likely forgot to flash factory images before selling it to you. Had their shop demo. I would highly suggest unlocking the bootloader and flashing CyanogenMod. Or if you want to stay on the safe-ish side, look into flashing factory images. Good luck, I'm on my phone so grabbing links is a pain, sorry.
