Crt screen off animation glitch - Galaxy S II General

Hi, I think I already found the source of the glitch. Can anybody tried this? If you have the glitch, swtich the phone to the flight mode, and restart the phone back. This to make sure no data and line enable. After the phone restart, now wooola, no more glitch but after you disable the flight mode and enable the wifi, data and so on, the glitch will start back, maybe any developers can find the other way round to solve this?

I'm assuming you mean the "blocky" glitch on the CRT off animation? Everytime you open the Phone Options menu using the power button it will cause the glitch - which can only be fixed by restarting.

Wifi off icon w/ red x (syndicate rom w/ xtreme kernel 1.1/1.2)

Does anyone know how to disable this feature? Every time my screen goes blank, and I turn it back on, I have this icon in the top left hand corner with a red x through it saying "turn wifi off". I want my wifi to come back on when I unlock the device, but I forced to turn it off then back on. Extremely annoying...
I may be wrong but check in the settings/applications/ manage applications and you can delete it from there. I think its called wifi status.

Just go into wifi settings and pres menu and go into advanced and set the sleep policy to "never". It saves a lot of battery. That way it doesn't disconnect when the screen goes off, nd then you'll only see it when you really have no wifi

You want your Wi-Fi connection to be available when you unlock your screen. From your Home screen:
Hit the Menu button & then go to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi settings
Hit the Menu button (again) and select Advanced
Set the Wi-Fi sleep policy to Never
That stops the Wi-Fi radio from sleeping when the screen is turned off. This will likely solve your issue.
tried that. still there looking me in the face mocking me.... lol
What kernel are you using? Apparently this is an issue with Xtreme kernel.
may very well be. It was happening in 1.1, and now I have 1.2 (xtreme kernel) on syndicate rom.

You can remove wifi status using these steps. I do it every flash.

This is a known bug with xtreme kernel. The wifi goes to sleep with the screen off even with it set to never. Semi sporadic, and worse on 1.0.2 than 1.0.1 in my experience.

[Q] Wifi Error - Stock DK28

Ran into an issue with wifi on stock DK28. Wifi stopped working after two months on stock DK28. The settings>wireless and network>wifi settings menu shows "Error," and remains unchecked and grayed out, even if I try to toggle wifi on or off.
Other than the occasional reboot, the only changes I've made were to install the DialerOne app and Handcent, though I don't know how those could be related.
I did find these topics on the issue, but no solutions:

Perhaps I need better search-fu, or just someone who can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
Happens all of the time on all of the roms I have tried that use DK28 as a base. One of the most annoying issues I have dealt with.
I've seen people report that, but it hadn't happened to me yet. Did you ever find a workaround?
Happens to me a lot. I find it happens most when I turn WiFi off after loosing my connection (ie leaving the house and then turning it off after I go out of range). This isn't 100% though. A reboot always fixes it. Sometimes an Airplane mode fixes it too, but not always.
I am one fo the fortunate ones that has not ran into this issue.

Airplaine mode and reboots haven't fixed it for me, but a battery pull did.
Thanks for the help, everyone.
It happens to me a lot after I shut off Wifi (as mentioned above).
I just do a power off and power on to fix the problem.
This method avoids having to reboot the phone to re-enable broken WiFi after a period of time.
Temporary fix/workaround is goto > Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings > toggle on "Wi-Fi" checkbox and wait for services to restart.
Thanks for the suggestion. I should have explained further in the OP. When the setting showed "Error" I could not toggle Wi-fi on or off, e.g. I couldn't check the box you suggest. The option remained grayed out.
I have had the same issues, although it got to the point this week that it would just not come back even when before I could just click on the greyed out error in wifi settings. Reflashed AGAIN, including the modem with ODIN just for good measure, and now I have not had any trouble at all, which is awesome. Have no clue what is causing it though!
Quick workaround is holding home button to to bring up task manager, going to "RAM" and clearing the level 2.

Trouble with Juice Defender and Cyanogenmod

Ever since I got Cyanogenmod 7 working on my phone, I've had a lot of trouble getting my 3g to toggle back on after turning my screen on. I'm using JD for the toggle so is it a Juice Defender problem or a modem problem?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
I have the same problem, I just switch to airplane mode and back and it fixes it. It only happens periodically, it works as it should more often then not. I attribute it to CM7 awesomeness. At least JD works, Green Power won't even try to manage the data connection.
Ah I wouldn't have thought to try that. Yeah I love this rom compared to stock so I'm more than willing to put up with a few gripes.

I have this same problem and run JD but it's not a JD problem. I would say it happens to me once or twice a day(usually when the phone is powered on for more than 6 hours without a reboot). A lot of people have this and toggling back and forth between airplane mode fixed the problem pretty damn easily.
If you want a quick way to do this go to
settings
cyanogenmod settings
interface
notification power widget
widget buttons
select airplane mode
Now you have airplane mode in your pull down bar and you can quickly enable it and disable it when this happens.
I have two problems relating to this. My 3g wont turn on automatically when someone sends me an MMS. Usually my stock ROM would turn the 3g on and download the MMS, but now I just receive a text message from a number rather than the name of the contact, and I need to press a Download button to download the picture/MMS. Then I have to turn on my 3G manually, then I have to press the Download button, and only then do I receive the picture/MMS.
Also, It has been happening quite often now. My 3G does not turn on, even when I turn it on manually so I have to reboot my phone an only then will it turn on.
Im using CM7 nightly, latest one up to date on HTC Desire HD.
Hope someone fixes this!

WARNING: LOLLIPOP stamina bug!!! Please read!

Just found this awkward issue!
I turned on ultra stamina mode and everything was fine, then I turned it off and my phone restarted. When it booted I tried to enable it again but to my surprise it broke!! Nothing hapend when pressing activate so I pressed the home button to which the phone replied: this feature is not supported! I managed to get home by rebooting and it was the normal home screen and all widgets failed to load... I could not open any app or use the navigation bar! Pressing the settings icon in the notification tray didn't do sh*t and the settings app would not open, also all dialog boxes are now empty for me and I'm stuck in a infinite broken stamina mode loop screenshots coming soon...
Please watch out!
UPDATE: tried it again and I had to press the deactivate button 5 times before it did something! And it does not disable it either!! Now I'm really stuck... Video coming tomorrow
UPDATE2: I'm officially stuck in a half baked stamina mode now... A video is uploading as I speak...

Seriuosly your phone it that condition is a mess.......what would I do if I was you? use flashtool and flash the rom from scratch....wipeing really everithings......than istall your apps.........
There are several issues in the lollipop after you flashed the FTF. Just like what happen to me. After i flashed the FTF, i try/run all the applications available and tried also the ultra stamina mode. after i deactivate it, my obb folder was wiped out (but i didn't experience the issue you had). To avoid any issues after flashing, let the phone settle for a min or two, then turn-off the phone and powered it up after 5 mins.
