Anyone else have issues where when Nav announces turned, it pauses slacker, but will not unpause after direction announcement? Was wondering if this was an issue with the new version of slacker. They are supposed to be fixing some other issues with it, like no landscape view. Any thoughts guys?
For me it unpauses sometimes and sometimes does not. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason.

Its weird, cause all I have to do for it to unpause is hit the menu button on my nav app, and then the return button on the nav bar, and music will resume....
This happens intermittently with Spotify too. It happened on my Nexus 4 as well. It can happen after a notification sound too (not just navigation prompt).

Hey,
I listen to music via a logitech bluetooth stereo almost all the time. I've noticed that when I have a wifi connection active, the phone realy seems to struggle staying up to speed. When I just listen to music is fine. When I play a youtube video for example, the sound will start stuttering from time to time, which is quite annoying.
Also, when wifi is active and I scroll through a list of text messages or any other list, audio stuttering will occur. Realy annoying. Wifi shouldnt be so hard for a phone like this? anyone else noticed it?
can anyone confirm this?
the only obvious wifi lag that i have seen is when you wake from sleep, and the home page tries to draw the weather animation and reconnect to wifi at teh same time. Sorry, not much help.
hmm do you think it could be usefull to try different radio's?

I'm in agreement with Samsamuel.
Try switching the homepage background to an animated one (rather than the weather one) and see if it does the same.
When I am playing music using HTC's sense music player, if I press the end call button to lock the phone, the music stops. This problem has only started happening last night, before it was working fine. The only new programme I have installed is SPB Travellers Demo. Any suggestions to fix this?
PS: if I manually lock the phone, it keeps playing.
It shouldnt happen if your using headphones, if your listening through the speaker then you just have to let the screen turn off on its own, just set it to time out after 30 secs........ its annoying i know.....
havent noticed a fix for this anywhere though.........
I havent really looked for one though to be honest, there probably is one.......
Thanks but I'm sure it used to work before ...

Now that you mention it I only noticed this recently and like you I dont remember it having happened before but because I rarely listen through the speaker I just thought I was imagining things and it had always done that...........
Now I'm really confused........
I know, does anyone know what might have caused this problem or any solutions?
sorry i dont know what causes this but it happens when i use headphones sometimes to - i find if i press the end call button straight after pressing play it stops but if you let it play for a few seconds then press it its ok?
Might be obvious but have you installed the official music stability update?
Yep, as I say, it appeared to be working fine until last night. The only programme I have recently installed is SPB Travellers Demo.
Hey all
I had a look and couldn't find this issue described
The problem occurs when listening to music (Google play) with wired headphones.
Sometimes the volume sounds low, and when the phone is unlocked it jumps up.
This also sometimes happens just by swiping down from the top, if the phone is already unlocked.
I suppose some action brings the volume down but it's harder to tell when that happens, compared to the jump up in volume.
I thought it might be the AudioFX so disabled that, had no effect.
As far as I can tell it doesn't seem to happen when using Bluetooth audio.
Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks!
Uri
I had this problem but i solved it
Setting-> Lock Screen-> disable display music visualizer
also keep disabled AudioFX and clear data of it

Nice one, thanks - will give it a try!
Tried the fixes but still the same issue. Pulling down the notification bar at the top raises the volume. Really odd and annoying!
I'll keep hacking on it.

Hmm. Still getting this.
Really annoying, and I can't seem to find an android / google play bug on it, although I have tried various (quite long) search strings.
Are there any other Zuk Z1 users out there who could test this please? Would be interesting to see if anyone else is having these problems after going through the steps that worked for Ashay.
Thanks!
Uri
yeah..I am also facing the same problem with the volume in Lenovo Zuk Z1
Please help me with solving this issue.
volume goes down

I m also experience same problem. When I disable display music virtualization my volume seems to remain down and not increase even on device unlock. If anyone could solve my problem then it would be a great help.
I am also getting same issue. same works for other apps too like soptify and soundcloud. volume jumps when notification panel is pulled or while unlocking device.
This is happening to me too, anybody knows how to fix this?
Hi guys, I had the same problem and I find it.
360 upmix feature is, you can switch it off or if you want to keep it on like me, then select you preferred method away from "auto".
Is it because for example on YouTube when it is unlocked it is cinema mode, but if you lock it you don't looking at it so goes to music mode, that's why switching back and forth.
I prefer cinema as a little more bass on it.
Have a nice day guys!
Edit: My phone is an Xperia 1 III.
I have bluetooth headphones connected (this may not be relevant) and I am playing music using blackplayer (also may not be relevant). I pause the music. Sometime later, I receive a phone call which I answer. When I hang up the music starts playing again. This is the bug. It should not play the music, but go back to pause.
When I make a call, this does not occur.
Can anyone else validate this? I am running standard O/S unrooted version 4.5.3.
Thanks
Alan

Well, i dont think that's a bug. When you received the call you dind't pause the music right? You just answered, so it resumes after you hang up. When you make the call you usually pause it first, that's why it remains paused. That's just it.
Yeah, happens to me the same, but in different circunstances:
1) Spotify playing
2) Pause spotify
3) Get a call
4) Hangup a call
5) Spotify starts playing.
It does not happen when I pause and then swipe out the spotify notification widget (the one with play / pause)

Porto - read my thread - I did pause the music before I received the call.

Thanks - that confirms it as the same symptoms as I get.
Now, how do I submit a bug report?

You're right, misread that. In that case yes, might be a bug. Never happened here. Try a clean flash of 4.5.5.
Interestingly, it also happens with my LG G3 when atatched through bluetooth to my motorcycle satnav. Music is paused, call comes in, call ends, music starts again. So it could be a generic Android issue that's never been fixed.

I keep getting a notification that states "Spotify connecting", I do not know to what but it keeps coming back every 5 to 10 minutes. This happens with wi-fi on or off, bluetooth on or off. Spotify is not running or in the background so I have no idea why this is happening, looking for some ideas. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache, restarted the phone and yet it keeps happening.
I can second this. It's only happened twice and both times I opened Spotify and then cleared from recents. Goes away but annoying.
I believe this has to do with connecting Spotify with Google Maps. I was getting a lot of toasts that read the same when trying to set it up. Once I finally got them connected and talking to each other, the toasts stopped.

How did you get Google maps and Spotify talking to each other? I've never set them up together and haven't seen that option.

In Maps, go to settings, navigation, show media controls. It will ask you to choose your default app. Then when you navigate, there is a media button in the top right to toggle the controls.

I had it connected to Waze but never to Maps. Thanks for the heads up.
As for the OP question, yes I saw it once. I hid the notification and then allowed notification again and it never showed again. I did see the message you mention though once. We'll see how it goes with Maps connected to it.
It shows when connecting to a Bluetooth device. As far as I know, that's when that notification pops up and it's annoying as hell.

After another day with the phone, I've come to the same conclusion. I notice it every time I connect to my car Bluetooth. It goes away after a minute or so, so not sure what it is.
Very strange - I just started getting this notification when I connect my Nexus 6P via BT to my Sony 1000MX2 headphones.
Connected it with Google maps and it's still happening on my phone. Also when not connected to a Bluetooth device
I think if you toggle off Notifications > Spotify > "External applications" it will stop these notifications. Still begs the question of why Spotify is 'connecting' before the user chooses the app. If I BT connect to my headphones to listing to Pocketcasts or Play Music etc. I don't need Spotify connecting.
It seems to have to do with the autoplay feature of the OnePlus 6T, when you connect a Bluetooth device it tries to autostart the app and begin playing media.

Again, I started getting this notification on a Nexus 6P after updating to current Spotify v8.4.78.530, so this isn't just a OnePlus feature issue.

Ah nevermind sorry I missed that part. I never saw it before I got my 6T and assumed it was only on OnePlus phones.
