i am having this prob i have lost wifi on my gs i337m it was rooted i tried to install stock rom for telus it says it install but im still rooted imusing this file is this correctC:\Users\Ronald\Downloads\KERNEL-TLS-I337MVLUAMG1-1372666261.tar i have been trying for 4 hours nows helllp
That's not the complete firmware. Go to sammobile.com. You'll download a zip and extract the .tar.md5 file from it. You'll flash that in Odin.

I installed a kernel but there's a wifi bug and i don't know how to fix it. I made a backup before, but when i restore it, it doesn't go BACK!

I haven't personally tried this on the s4 but it should work. Grab the 4.4.2 factory tar file, rename it without the.md5, and extract it. Inside you should find a boot.img. Put that on your device and flash it with flashify from the play store.

Just to Clarify:
I need to remove the .md5 from the name? So just .tar? and then extract and put the boot.img on my sd and install flashify and flash from there? And my kernel will be back to stock?
If I wanted to unroot, would i just flash the .tar file through Odin? That would remove TWRP, root and custom kernel, am i correct?

Yes you can use this guide.. In simple words all you need to do is flash the correct stock firmware through Odin, and your phone will be back to normal!

using the file "I9505 Pit zip file" works the phone again?
I have already flashed the stock firmware 4.4.2 and crashes the same on the "SAMSUNG"
The pit file is only used if your partition is corrupted, and it is not the stock firmware. The firmware files are in the second post of that thread. If you haven't done so already, download the correct file from the second post, extract it, and flash the tar file using odin
I followed some instructions here given to me to put a custom rom on I updated to the NF1 baseband just fine and rooted it fine but I have downloaded and redownloaded TWRP and cannot find openrecovery-twrp-2.7.2.0-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar after extracting it therefor leaving me nothing to be able to run/install any direction as to why I am incountering this? Thank you P.S I think I just solved it I downloaded the zip file not the .tar

Here is the TWRP open recovery tar you need:

You don't need to extract anything, simply flash this TAR file using Odin.

Thank you I see I was not suppose to download the zip
Can anyone give me the stock recovery for N900 4.4.2 please? My phone is rooted but used fake system stauts in wanam xpose. I can download OTA upgrade but failed to install the update. So i guess it must be bcoz of CWM. Thank you so much in advance.

I have the same problem before. And I have flash the stock firmware via Odin. No data will be lost.
If you are going to flash the stock recovery, you'd better flash the stock firmware
You can also download the stock firmware and extract the stock recovery yourself.
Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to find and download the stock firmware for your device.

Oh.really. I didnt realize it at all. Current firmware is the one that I downloaded and flashed it from odin. Can u guide me how to extract and flash it bcoz I am afraid I will have bootloop or brick.?

The firmware file is a TAR archive and you can extract it with WinRAR.
You will get recovery.img file and it can be flash via Odin.
But it's easier if you flash full stock firmware. No data will be lost.

Do i need to repack recovery.img into tar.md5? I can add recovery.img into zip archive and then rename into tar.md5? is it a right method? I have modified something in system folder which i have to flash through CWM. So after i flash stock firmware, im not going to lose my data but my modification will be lost.
I hope u understand my problem.

Wow..thank you so much. I keep looking for them until it gave me headache.
Okay so basically I was trying to root my phone through odin, and it messed up and I turned my phone on/off and a message popped up saying firmware upgrade error encountered an issue blah blah blah.
I have an sgh-i337m model and I really need this phone fixed as I just paid 200$ to get its lcd replaced a week ago. I need serious help on what to do, I'm a huge newbie so yea. Also it's with rogers.

Download the stock Rom touchwiz tar file from and flash it via Odin. I did this when I was left without root and a custom recovery, flashed stock touchwiz ROM via Odin.

I've been up since 6 pm downloading all these different files like stock rom for my model and putting it in odin but i keep getting a failure, is their a link for the touchwi tar file? will this work for sure?

Go to sammobile.com for the file. You'll download a zip file, extract it using 7-zip or winrar. Use the .tar.md5 file in Odin
