Anyone experiencing this?
The flashing green LED keeps going off, yet I have nothing. No email, no SMS, no missed calls...nothing. And it's sort of driving me crazy. Any way to figure out what's causing this?
I only have this happen to me if I use the quick reply for sms. It goes away if I open the drop down menu.

Yes, I had that happen, could not for the life of me figure out what was setting it off. Ended up resetting the phone, no problems since.

Maybe it's predicting the future? :silly:
Had the same issue. It was a calender issue with events or reminders, I had both the google calender and the one that comes with the G2. I froze the G2 calender and it solved my problem.
Are there multiple colors? Can you control. them with light flow?

The first time it happend it was in bootloop for 20 minutes as i messed with it trying to get it to turn off, i finally fig out how to turn it off but it would loop every time i turned it back on so it was crazy hot so i put it in the freezer to cool it down and bam it booted up, every time it has looped that is the only way i have been able to get it to fully boot

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I'm on 023, but I'm pretty sure it was happening before that as well.
My problem is that the screen often thinks I'm still touching it, when I'm not. For example, I press the delete button for text and it keeps deleting everything I have entered because it keeps holding delete. Another example is the screen getting stuck between home screens, because it believes I'm still touching it, even though I've already finished swiping.
Ye mine does that. Or the touchscreen freezes and the phone just vibrates for 4/5 seconds

Yeah. Exact same thing for me. Except maybe vib lasts longer. Could it be the screen protector? I have an iphone screen protector on top of the factory glued one.

Not sure if is the screen protector as I only have the original on there.
It is rare it happens but I've just been putting it down to a software issue.

Is this issue really common for you guys? Because I text a lot, and I've only had this happen like 2-3 times in the last 2 months...

I send about 2600 text messages per month ( I don't know if you consider that a lot or not) and it has happened I would guess about 10 times. It's just a tad annoying. Especially when you've written a long text or email and it erases half the text before you realize it. LOL..
I get the long vibrate probably 3 or 4 times a week. It's usually when I'm on Meebo, but I've noticed that it usually freezes up like that when the haptic vibrate from the keyboard coincides with an instant message or some other event that triggers vibrate.

Yeah i have this issue every now and then, rather anoying when your mid text!
I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this issue. I am currently running the latest cyan 7 nightly but i do recall it happening 2 other times on cyan 7 RC4 and RC1. I am not at all saying it only happens on cyan, i am just showing when and how it happened. All 3 times it happened my battery was below 10% and i restarted my phone to have the issue occur. It seems as if every button on the screen would choose the exact mirrored opposite of itself on the screen. If i would press the phone icon on adw the default on the other side wich happens to be internet browser would launch. If i pulled down on the notification bar the app drawer would open and so on and so on. the only thing that was regular was when i would press an option in the main menu such as wifi or location, basically anything that didnt have an option next to it that it could switch to. after a few minutes i restarted the phone again to have the issue go away as fast as it started. It was not only in adw for those wondering it was anything that had an option next to it, such as pressing favorites in the browser and it would launch whatever is opp of it, settings i think im not positive at the moment. Oh well i just figured i would share some of my story with all of u in case it somehow starts a topic or even some how helps somebody out in any way. thanks, veritas

I work for a cell phone repair company and we recently had a G2 come in with heavy water damage. after doing the water damage treatment the phone powered on, everything working fine.
I powered it off to put my SIM into it to test the call functionality and when it powered back up the entire touchscreen was backwards, even the softkeys at the bottom.
we replaced the digitizer and that fixed the issue, so maybe T-Mobile or HTC will warranty it if its a bad digi
I have tried kj4, kka and sheep rom. All have the annoying long wait after pressing power button intil the screen is lit up. Also tried different CPU governors without result. What is the problem here? And can it be solved?
Is it just me, or do others experience this as a prob?

Just to clarify the issue here:
When the phone is on but screen has been off for a while, the time between pushing pwr button and until the screen lights up is about 1 second, it may not sound much but it just enough to make one press the button once again. Not what i am used to on my previous androids from HTC.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Same here. KJ4, stock KKA and sheep KKA. It is annoying indeed...
Probably a user experience thing, you guys who claim to NOT have the issue:
Can you lock the screen and wait for like 10 mins and then on the screen again and time the delay from button press to screen light-up?

I am judging this by my 2 previous HTC's whith all kinds of different Roms where I have never seen this.
My thought is that it is on all notes but some people does not see it as a problem but you and me do.

I think I figured out the issue. I disabled weather on the lock screen and now my phone comes straight on. Maybe everyone with the issue can try that and see if it works for them?
Confirmed, getting rid of the weather on the lock screen gets rid of the lag
I'm having the same prob. I'll try removing the weather app and see if that helps.

This was there even on the s2..
yea, mines also has the same 1-2 sec delay. no weather on lock screen. found it odd, cause i've only had HTC phones so far, and never saw this.
Samsung don't use early_resume in the kernel, that Seems To be more qualcomm Related code.
It's that Code that gives you instant screen resume on the HTC devices et al.
I found this a niggle on the note as well, but have got Used to it,especially compared to amount of work it would take to fix it.
Hello everyone,
Curious if anyone is having the same issue as me? I have tried multiple roms, stock, with and without kernels.
I am having some touch issues. Either I have to press harder then normal at times or multiple times for my press to register. Its getting quite annoying. Not sure if this is a defect or if i can modify something within the system files to make the screen more sensitive or if there is even a way to re-calibrate my sensors/screen?
Thank you in advance,
DFL

Has anyone decided if this is a hardware or software problem? I've started having the same issue. Turning off the screen sometimes fixes it for me but not always. A reboot always fixes it.
Like just now... I was playing Zenonia 2 and in the middle of a battle I suddenly couldn't get the touchscreen to respond. I hit power to lock the device and immediately tried to turn it back on with power again... but I couldn't even get the unlock screen to work. I set it down for about 30 seconds and when I tried again it was fine. I pulled the game back to the top and it worked fine.
When this happens the "soft" buttons (back, home, etc) always seem to work just fine, so I'm inclined to say it's really a software problem.
Running stock + root.
My thought is that it has to be a hardware issue, or if everyone with the issues is rooted than it could be from the root. My device has fantastic response however I am not rooted.

I would think hardware as well, but the home and back buttons always work and they use the same touch surface...
I got the same thing here and rebooting appears to fix it. Sometimes it is so bad that I cannot move icons from one screen to another.
Did you guys try flashing stock 4.1.1 using fastboot or the toolkit? If that does fix it then its probably hardware problem.

I had the same problem ! solved by turning off the screen and turn on it
I have the same issue and mine isn't rooted yet so I don't think it is an issue with that. A wipe of the device doesn't help but a reboot usually does. This is my second N7 as the first was a warranty replacement for the headphone jack issue. The first never had the issue so I think it is an issue that should be addressed. I am outside my 14 days so I might have to go through Asus now.
---------- Post added at 01:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:50 PM ----------
For what it is worth, I just called Google and they are going to send me a new one. The lady that assisted me stated that she has had a few complaints with this issue and that they just replace it. N7 #3 should be on the way in a couple days. For some reason she said that the device wasn't set up properly in my profile so it will add a couple days to the process because of the long weekend.
Not a big deal. I have lived with it for a while now. At least they appear to be taking care of it and I wasn't transferred to Asus. At least yet.
I've had my phone for a month/month and a half now, and today was the second time that I had to pull the battery. the phone would be fine running throughout the day, then when I go to turn it on, it does not respond to the home or power button. the LED continued to blink though. has anybody else had this issue? not sure if this is considered the "black screen of death". I was just going to do a factory reset and hope that it fixes it. no drops or water damage.
What firmware are you on? Do you have an i337.
mf3 and yes.
Do a factory reset, if it doesn't help, swap it for a new one. They'll probably get you a new one if you haven't done anything to it.

In that case, best option is to take it in. You can try best buy if you have one with a Samsung center and get them to reflash it, or take it to wherever you got it to exchange it.
