[Q] Droid X Running CM9 Won't Accept a Charge - Droid X General

Hey there,
So after some fooling around with my Droid X the past couple of days, I managed to get it rooted and CM9 for Droid X flashed over. All was going well, until I plugged it in that night, and the battery wouldn't charge. I thought it was weird, so I let it sit there for about an hour, came back and the battery still said it was "0". Thinking it might be the charger, I moved it to a charger that I know works (I use it for my Galaxy S3). However, before I could get it completely moved, it shut down. Not thinking much of it, I plugged it in and let it go. I came back a couple of hours later, and the screen was completely white. I thought it might be something with CM9. But, to my dismay, I could not boot the phone past the white screen.
When I try to get it into a mode where I can SBF it (Camera and Volume Down) it just says the battery is too low. I, also, cannot get into Clockwork Recovery, but I can get into the original recovery mode, but the only thing I can do there is factory reset (updating from the SD is a no go).
Any solutions or tricks that you guys know of to help resolve this issue?

you need a spare battery, spare battery charger, or a TBH factory cable adapter

[Q] Droid 2 acting weird after SBF

Ok here goes. I decided to try my hand at rooting and then putting on custom roms. I tried fission and liked it, but for some reason it crashed and the phone would not come back on. I did the whole spiel of flashing it back to stock 2.3.20. Now it is a fully functional phone except for one thing. If the battery completely dies and i plug it into my computer to charge it come up in bootloader mode and says "low battery, cannot program". If i plug it into a wall charger it will start charging fine. Has anyone had this issue and know how to possibly fix it. Everything works fine. If i have to re-flash it again i can probably find the thread that had all the sbf info on it along with the programs. thanks all for reading.
perhaps you should use the cracked bootloader to erase battery stats.

[Q] Burned out Droid X?? wtf happened?? Help anyone?

Let me give you the run down. I recently bricked my phone trying a 2.3.320 SBF update which got stuck on the M logo. I followed steps as on rootzwiki and got my phone working again, with the new 2.3.320 update. I backed up my cricket APN so the reflash wasn't to bad. I use Droid Overclock at low volts running 1.2Ghz. I have done so for months...never had an issue....ran smooth and fast.
After the new SBF update and re-rooting and running my usual overclock settings, my phone got a lil warmer then usual. I was removing bloat at this point, nothing else. I could not get it to boot into the homescreen...I thought this was unusual as I did not delete any important files ( just bloat ). So, I restarted it, so I thought.
I can not even get it to turn on and after several hours on the charger, It will not turn on! I can get into bootloader but all it states is
Batter Low
Cannot Program
When it's plugged into the USB on my computer, the LED light turns solid green and stays green unless I unplug it. I can not turn it on nor boot into recovery. Only thing I can do is load bootloader and get that exact same message everytime.
My phone is in mint condition. Nothing less then perfect....until today, until I loaded the new 2.3.320 using RSD Lite. Whats going on with my phone? Is it a goner? I will be heading to the VZW store for a brand new battery but I don't think it is the case.
Ideas? Anyone? Sad, sad day for my X...
I think the problem may be that you accidently removed the files necessary for it to charge. If you knew someone else that had the same phone, you could try charging your battery in his phone. That could possibly work.
It had 70% charge when I turned it off to reboot it the first time.
Wierdest thing, as I was reading your post...CWM just started up out of no where and out of excitment, I grabbed my phone and hit the camera button on accident and it rebooted, past the M logo but got stuck on the Droid animation! I had my chance to flash it back to a working nandroid and missed it.
Something wierd is going on here...
If you pull the battery, put it in, then plug it in you should go right to CWM. Keep playing with it until you make it in. I know my phone won't boot up (dead battery), but still gets to CWM.
Might have to jump start it
If the battery is too dead you'll either have to borrow a battery or cut a USB cable to 'jump start' it. I found a post with pictures on how to do it for mine, or look for one of my old posts where I describe it a little.
Use the wall charger. I have the same problem except when my phones dead it wont charge over a computer USB cause its not getting the correct voltage for it to charge. Try that if that's not the case then use another battery and sbf.

[Q] Droid X issue battery related possibly brickage

Ok here's what happened:
1.) Rooted using z4
2.) koush bootstrapped
3.) CWM recovery installed using rom manager
4.) wiped data through cwm and koush
5.) wiped system
6.) installed liberty 1.5
7.) rebooted. Let liberty boot up.
Problem is, she had about 15% battery left upon the start of all this. When i got back into liberty it almost immediately rebooted, and shut off. When i plugged in charging cord connected to computer, green LED came on, which shows me that maybe the battery is charging. Couldnt get power to come back on phone. Wondering if the phone was just too dead to come on or if i've bricked it by not having enough charge?
The woman who owns the phone had to leave suddenly with the phone , so I cant really find out till later tonight if she got it to turn on or not.
One word of advice and then I will help you:
always always always charge your phone before flashing anything.
Now to help you:
There is a way to charge your battery without it being in your phone. Actually there are two; one costs money, and one is fun
Money method: Buy a dock for the battery. It will charge it and youre all set.
Fun free method: this is also referenced as the "macgyver" method. It involves splicing a USB cable and putting the cable ends on your battery. It is not hard but could possibly be dangerous if you can't read instructions. Google it as I don't know the exact wording and I do not want to lead you in the wrong path

[Q] Droid X Failed Flash now No Power (Green Charge Light Only)

Hello,
Ive been an iphone user for the longest time and wanted an introduction to the android world so I picked up a droid x with clean esn for a really decent price.
The original problem was that it was stuck at the boot loader screen with an error code, I was able to get to a clean boot loader screen with cam+vol down and power, where I attempted to flash back a stock image. The boot loader showed 30.04.
The flash failed, and my screen was stuck at "SW Update in Progress" or similar, after which the unit completely powered down and has not come back up since.
I have tried new batteries, charging stock battery, all the tricks for trying to turn it on, removing battery and putting back in etc. and I cannot get any sign of life from the device besides a green charge light when plugging in via USB to computer (no light when plugged into wall charger). A couple times I could get the usb connection/disconnection sound from windows, but now I cant even seem to get that.
About to sell it on ebay for parts but wanted to check with the pros first to see if there is any other options I can try.
Thanks.
Try getting another, fully charged, Droid X battery, and using it to attempt the SBF process.
Then try to SBF the device.
Edit: Which SBF file did you try to flash the phone with?

Well, I bought a new battery on ebay with a charger, charged that over 24 hours, charged the OEM one for 24 hours.. not a response.
New battery read 4volts on multimeter, OEM read around 2.5.
I think I flashed it with VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf
Attached is the log from the flash if it helps
ended up selling it for $50 so someone thought they could either use it for parts or fix it, which is just as well I only paid $25 for it.
Thanks guys.

Droid 4 not booting

Hey guys, I have been all over and I'm hoping someone can either help or point me to somewhere that I can get some answers. This is about a Motorola Droid 4 XT894 on Verizon CDMA. It is stock firmware, never been rooted or unlocked.
Basically the screen got broken. I, being the technical genius I am was removing the battery and ripped the ribbon cable out of the battery (Don't ask, I have already shamed myself for this). I bought a new battery to replace it, no big deal. Turned the phone back on, it was working fine. I told my wife to discharge it and turn it off and let it charge fully to get the battery status back out of ?. That's where things went wrong.
Basically now the phone will not boot. I'm using an OEM charger, I've pulled the battery back out (Without ripping the cable!) but it will not boot past the motorola symbol. It won't hard reset with PWR+VOL- and it will not go into the boot options with PWR+VOL+.
It will do the motorola symbol for a bit then just turn off. If I hit the power button I get the battery ? symbol on the front, with or without the battery. Anyone have any ideas?
Does anyone have a good resource for this at least, or can someone point me to a place that will actually fix it? I'd really like to get some information off of it before attempting to sell it, as well as factory default it before shipping it somewhere.
