Change DPI? - Ouya General

Is there a way to change DPI settings per app on the OUYA? similar to Paranoid Android?
I like Nova launcher but my icons are way too small on my TV, how can I change the DPI settings so my icons can look a little bigger?

Try the xposed module called app settings

you shouldnt even have to use an xposed module for that.

Only up to 130% at the moment, and that may be a Prime feature. I'll have to check out app settings after I update to new version of StockPlus.

Changing dpi on GEL

Can i change dpi to Google experience launcher??The icons are huge...
If you don't mine losing the "Okay Google" feature, you can use the Launcher3.apk from CyanogenMod11 roms that allow 5x5 rows.
You could change the app's DPI using Xposed Framework's module App Settings once they become compatible with KitKat in the near future. Otherwise you have to edit the build.prop and change the whole system's dpi, set it to 300dpi, you'll get 6x5 rows. However it can cause authentication issues when launching PlayStore, to fix that just clear the app data of PlayStore and Play services.

[Q] Increase launcher grid size on KK

I'm running MoKee44.2 ROM, the first thing I noticed is that the launcher has a small grid size. I can only fit 4 rows of icons on the home screen. Is there a way to increase the number of rows? I tried Xposed GEL Settings but it didn't help out :/
Try Xposed App Settings and set the launcher DPI to 210 for example (that's what I use) and Restart the phone.
BTW Wrong forum, should be in "Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting"

I just realized that my DPI is not saving. I'm using rom toolbix to change the dpi, after rebooting it gets back to 320DPI

[Q] What app to change dpi for regular sized dialer?

OK. So, I know I've done this before but can't remember how. I changed my system wide dpi but my dialer is awfully small. What app(s) do I need to change back with Wanam to fix it? I thought it was contacts but that's not doing the job...
Thnx!

Sorry for being unclear. What apps must I change back with app settings for the dialer to be properly sized?

It should be SecPhone or just Phone.
I just figured out that my App Settings will not enable under module settings. It says, in red text, "This module requires a newer XposedBridge (52) and thus cannot be activated."
I tried to update my xposed installer framework to no avail. Perhaps it's not out yet?

Android L Launcher - Change Icons

hi, I installed the latest Android L preview and I like it a lot but the only thing I miss is my moonshine icon pack that I used on my kitkat build.
I looked around if there is any way to change icons on the stock launcher and I came across "Beautiful Icon Styler" and I found an old apk online but it does not seem to be compatible with the android l launcher.
does anyone know if it is possible to change the icons without changing the launcher? even if it is only home screen icons I guess it is still better than nothing
thanks
I dont know for exact but u can change pngs of ur stock icons. U can google it or wait till some one answer.
Wait for xposed to release an update for android L

so there is no app/mod that will do this right now

yea I just figured out that one. However I think I might have found an easier way.
the app is called Icon Changer free and it basically creates a shortcut for the app on your homescreen with a custom icon. the icon doesn't change in the drawer but I guess it'll have to do for now
thanks
Beautiful Icon Styler
Here you go. Was looking for a app that allowed me to style the icons while using GEL (or pretty much any other launcher). This did the trick for me.

Just use this app called Unicon. You need root but it works.

Multi DPi

Hi, could someone to do Multi DPi ROM? Alternatively, only applications? Something like MultiX would tkari for Note 3? I don't like huge icons and font. and sorry for my english.
You can use xposed app settings apk to alter dpi on a per app basis. You can also edit your build prop to alter your dpi but make sure you have another launcher installed just in case as some app's are hard coded

Xposed is not a solution for Samsung Apps who are not built to display well at lower dpi. Because Samsung can't be bothered to use Google guidelines in their apps.
What the OP asked is what I kinda wish we had, an X-Note ROM or something equivalent, in which the Samsung apps are modified to run and display properly at lower dpi.

I set the build.prop DPI to 480 and then use xposed and app settings to set the Samsung apps back to 640. For now it's the only way.

Does that work better than it had previously with some apps on the Note 3, such as the Email app having huge text?

Which apps did you set back to 640? I use 480 aswell, but only my carrier text on lock screen and key field for entereing key pass looks awful. I did not change anything back to 640 and everything seems to be ok with samsung apps. Until now I tested Galaxy Apps, S Health (with wanam fix), S Voice and E-Mail. No Problems.
@zerojay:
I have no big characters when I write or answer mail.
So default dpi is 640 and not 650?
