I can tell you it doesn't have gorilla glass, or at least not the same grade of gorilla glass as my LG G2X. My nexus 7 has far more scratches within 2 weeks than my LG G2X had in 2 years

Mines flawless as well. I agree with the title though, this thing is excellent for the money!
If you can find a fix for the touch issues then you will be happy I expect. See if you can fix it before damming the while nexus line.

YES!!! I'm not Stupid posting this DAMM, not doing anything, this is not my first Android Device,

You probably just got it from a shop with a bad batch of Nexus 7 FHD units. We have a "family/free4all" Nex here, been using it for 2 months and is in perfect working condition... I'm even thinking of buying my own.
All companies will have this sort of problem not just Asus because of the way they do Q.C. now (or should I say lack of it for some companies). My only advice when buying one is try asking for the latest revision and latest batch. I've personally never had any problems with Asus, infact, my old 2012 Nex is running fine as well, same with my 4yr old RoG motherboard.

I love my N7 . Despite its issues, its money I already spent and forgot about spending a while ago now.
Great device for under 300.

Usually if a tablet has a problem with the screen, that gets noticed pretty quick. Why not just return it to the retailer instead of dealing with RMAs?

I'm sorry but the people claiming they have a flawless device, are they manufactured in September?
cause if it isn't and it's a July/Aug batch then you're just ignorant...

I do find the glass on this is more prone to scratches. It has a quite a few tiny scratches on the screen that you cant see when the screen is on. It is pretty strong, since it didnt break when it was dropped face down onto concrete

So for those without problems, are you 100percent faultless...without random stuck touches and very random ghost touches and non responsive touches?
Mine is pretty perfect but it does have random instances of issues. Turning on the show touches option u can see the stuck pixel sometimes. And in some games its weird when u can see touches but the game doesn't recognises it. Kindda feels more software than hardware to me

Cracking Bezel

Hi. I'm thinking of getting the note 2. Considering that it shares many things with the s3 does it have the cracking bezel issue like the s3? Just want to confirm.

I certainly hope not, especially after hearing how Samsung are fobbing everyone off. .. As far as I can tell it was just a problem with the white one's?
Another reason I love the grey
Been using it for around a week now. Its fine so far.
I surely hope that it doesn't have the same issue. Planning on getting a non warrantied one since the difference is $120 compared to one with 1 year warranty.

No cracks here. Mine is white. But that would be a serious problem.
Btw, I had problems with both my SGS II and SGS III DOA's so I would def. pay for warranty.

Q: Nexus 10 -> problems?

Hello,
Are there many problems with the nexus 10?
i'm about to order one in America but I had really bad luck with my Nexus 7 .. speaker blown after 3 days :cyclops:
So are there many problems or is this product "oké"?
Best regards!
All you have to do is a little reading around the forums to find your answer. The issues have all been thoroughly discussed, but I'd say the vast majority (including myself) are quite happy with the device overall.

New Device:Suggestions?

Hello all,
I'm planning to get a new device.
Is nexus 4 good on hardware given that it's made by lg?
Should I buy htc one x+ or galaxy s3 instead?
What are your recommendations?
I can afford upto 30k or 550_600$.
HTC One costs around 43k,if you can afford that much then I would really recommend it.Nexus 4 would be a good choice too.
Oops I meant to say htc one x+

I had the same thing in mind.
But it has a better interface, processor and beats audio.
I don't care for most if these but has lg made a good hardware for the nexus 4???
Btw nexus 4 arriving here in a week
Agreed, sense will always have a better ui than anything in the world
Don't care about the beats audio, have seen ppl using other mods despite having beats audio.
Lg is a good company,we don't see it as a cell phone manufacturer,do we?
And you mean,you've ordered n4?

Build quality?
Yes
Then Slymobi must have something to say about it.Nexus 4 to me looks good, has a much better build quality than any of the Samsung devices.
I'd go for the N4. Purely because your getting a pure google handset, with new updates guaranteed (unlike HTC. Who sometimes cancel or don't even bother to update devices), you'll also get something that's easy to BL unlock, root and experiment with. And being a nexus device, I'm sure there would be a lot try out!

The build quality is just great! Just the speakers and the camera are not as good as the HTC one's. I had both phones One and Nexus and this glass look looks just so much better than the "plastic" from the HTC One X. And it's also easier to root than the HTC phone. It was a pain in the ass to root the One X and to flash ROMs on it. The Nexus is definitly the better choice also in relation to the money,
I'd get the nexus 4. I already have a nexus 4 and it is brilliant. It feels more premium than the galaxy s3 and the htc one x+. Plus it is easier to root and will have excellent developer support. You also get the newest updates from Google themselves.
I have the one x, great device, doesnt feel "cheap" at all, n4, while having more "premium" feeling also can break more easy so keep that in mind.
Also, hox is easy to root, dont know why is everyone saying its hard lol.

Ive seen it. Frankly Id prefer android!
The hardware of the N4 is amazing for the price. Fastest phone I've ever used for sure. For value/speed, nothing comes close.
The glass back is fragile so just make sure you purchase the right protection.
Jellybean 4.2 is so good you could use it without the need for rooting

Never happened to me...strange. I think the 4.2.2 update solved this issiue for the most people. I think that happens to maybe 1 of 1000 N4 devices. And if yours is affected you can send it back and order a new N4.
You can still choose the HOX its also a nice device and it has almost no bugs but its got that crappy Tegra processor which seems to be not very familiar with the android system itself and some Gameloft games.

For ROMs - go to development section and that will answer that. There are 5+ battery life threads as well as endless amounts of reviews with pros cons. Not trying to be a prick, but good Lord there are pages and pages of threads on these forums to look through that have all of your answers.
Read the forums fully and make your decision.
There are/have been Multitouch issues (resolved for some, not for all) , gps issues (resolved for most), random restart/reboot issues (not resolved). There are other ones that I have likley missed but these are the ones that seem to consume most discussions still.
I want to love the N7 but the random restart issue is a pain for me.
The HW specs are awesome, the price is great but there are still bugs. This fall there seem to be many many good devices coming out but this is the best price point.
If I hadnt purchased it I would personally consider the LG 8.3 Tablet at a higher cost.

I fail to see how your sexual preferences in meeting guys at the pub remotely relates to being called out for a clearly entitled and lazy attitude toward doing a very basic search that anyone with half a brain could perform in thirty seconds.

This was a simple question. I know no one wants my opinion, but everyone needs to calm down and keep it light in here. We read these topics in the forums here to relax and learn more about our techie toys - not to get all stressed out regarding comments and whatnot. Just my 2 cents.
I bought the N7 myself and I never had ANY issue with it that some users have described. It's super fast, the screen is beautiful, fits nicely in my hand (unlike some others like the note series), plays games nicely, movies look great on it, etc. I could go on, but suffice to say, I'm pretty happy. I bought some cases, accessories on eBay and am a happy camper. Let us know what you decided.
I haven't had any of the common problems yet, not even the random reboots, but I only bought mine last week in a Curry's in the UK so perhaps it's a newer hardware revision than the ones with multi-touch problems and the like, I don't know enough about the cause of the multi-touch problems to say that for sure.
The only real gripe I have is with YouTube - fullscreen quality is atrocious, nowhere near 1080p, and on such a high resolution device it just looks rubbish.
Thanks for replying, the 16GB version I was reading upon says there suffering slow downs on only 3gb left in storage is this a common problem, and is it a small bug that is likely to get ironed out thanks.

I wanted to buy a N7 (2012) first, changed my mind though after having read the news about the latest modell and waited instead This device sure has some bugs but in my opinion it´s worth the price. Though you may see some weird multitouch behaviour while using test tools ( and eg. more than 5 fingers ), you can still use it without noticing any problems.
I did not experience any random reboots ( I´ve debloatet the Stock ROM and removed Chrome and everything I don´t need ), the battery life is ok too ( depending on how you use your device, 7h screen on without any problems ).
Sure this device has some flaws you may have to live with but considering the price you had to pay for it, it´s still worth the money and hopefully Google will provide us with some bugfixes...sooner or later.
The main reason I bought this device was the fantastic display ( 1920x1200 on a 7" display... you will have a very hard time if you even try to spot a pixel.. )

Yeah that definitely sucks.
Is this the "production issue" that Google CSR's were talking about? If so I am glad my phone is still pending. I hope this is not a wide spread occurrence.
In the Reddit thread I read about this someone asked if they could (the 2 or 3 people this happened to) post the build date of the devices but I don't think it has been provided yet.

Got to be honest...should be receiving mine at the end of the month and this plus the bending, paint chipping and the warped aluminium from the official cases. It's a hell of a lot of money, $700+ in the UK, to throw at a phone that seems to having its fair share of problems. I'm coming from an HTC M8 which has been superb! Also a bit nervous about it.
I find it hard to believe that Google would let hardware this inferior carry the Nexus name. I am not sure what to do with my phone at this point. I guess I can say it on a pillow and never takes it out in the real world.
