CM10.2 and PIE - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know how to make the PIE be as good as PA's pie? Thats one of my biggest issues with CM right now. And DPI changing. Seems to be nearly a deal breaker. How can one easily change DPI in CM10.2?

Why just not use PA? U can easily change the DPI and have halo as well which is very useful IMO

Because of the new stuff coming to cm. And how do you add the Google now button to pie? Cm10.2 of course. I am a huge PA fan don't get me wrong. Seems like nothing fills my wants like PA.

As for dpi changing you can use the app settings xposed module (you can download it from the latest version of the xposed installer)

At least you tried!
You'll have to try revolt/rootbox or one of the other roms combining features of aokp/cm/pa. Besides that the only other thing you can do is set up a custom build environment and manually build a rom yourself.

For someone who hasn't yet installed Paranoid Android yet, what's the difference between the LMT pie and Paranoid Android Pie?

Link to Theme Chooser APK Please!

Hey if someone could link me to theme chooser, that'd be awesome. I'm talking about the CM one. Also, what would be the necessary build.prop tweaks that would make it work?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't believe you would be able to get it to work without the CM framework and system files. It would take more than a simple build prop tweak to get it to work if at all. Unless you want to build CM from source you're only other option is to flash CM to use theme chooser.

You can extract the apk from a downloaded version of CM using 7zip if you really want the apk. You can install it but it won't do anything without the framework to support it. Some of the custom launchers have themes you can download from the playstore that might be an option for you if you want a new theme. I would browse in the theme section for advice.

Sorry I'm a noob but is there a way to incorporate the CM framework into my ROM? (Are you talking about framework-res.apk? If so, can I use that on the JWR ROMs?)

Its been over 2 years since I built or modified a ROM but its not as simple as just dragging and dropping framework-res and systemui versions you want into a ROM. There may be other custom ROM's out there with theme chooser if the dev used CM source to build his ROM but tehn why not just use CM? The easiest way I know of to theme a phone is to use a custom launcher and choose a theme off the play store or use an app like UCCW and again look for themes for it in the playstore. UCCW (ultimate custom clock widget) isn't the most user friendly app but it gets the job done. And make sure you back up your phone before making any changes using launchers or theme apps for if they modify systemui.apk or framework-res.apk in any way those changes can't be easily reversed. Always have a backup of your stock ROM.

Are you on KitKat and do you have the the KitKat version of gravity box? Because there's a KitKat and jellybean version.
Also for the transparent bars there's another module someone made specifically for the nexus 10. Look for it under downloads on xposed

Nice, I'm still on 5.0.2 because I'd miss things like YouTube Background and Gravity Box too much.
Bootlooped when i tried it ugh
Fair warning, most modules will bootloop you

It says in the op to disable all modules beforehand then enable them after install
Works on Euphoria. Chroma users do not install this (bootloop).

It doesn't work on stock LMY47I with no modules, well at least not for me. Just out of curiosity those who have got it work are you unencrypted?
Anyone try this on Rastapop?

Chroma 4/4 works. I'm guessing when they made the ART changes in 4/5 is broke xposed.
Im using euphoria -the latest release... The xposed frameworked was installed without any problems.. And if i activate any modules it will go into bootloop.. My advice is to wait still further in order to get more stability
On aicp 4/06 build and flashed zip in recovery and rebooted and xposed framework was not there
