what network frequency gsm 3g nexus 4 lg e960? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

please tell me how I would know I see the network frequency gsm 3g and I am connected in nexus 4 lg e960? I thank the attention of all of you!
secret code service menu not funtional 3845*#960# and 1809... , 2945... , my msl, and other

The secret dialer codes aren't universal. And are you asking how to see what frequency band as in 1900, 2100, etc the tower is using?

Nexus 4 on 1900 and 1700 bands at the same time?

I still havent got my nexus 4 yet, but it is still on the way. I just had a quick question. I am going to be using this device on tmobile. Tmobile is currently making its hspa available on 1900 band and nexus 4 supports both 1900 and 1700. So can nexus 4 run on both bands with the same sim card or is it restricted to one band in some way. It would be cool if it could run both at the same time because in areas where 1700 isnt available 1900 could be used and vice versa. Thanks.
The phone defaults to the best available band

The band is auto selected. There is nothing for you to do. Since the N4 is pentaband, it will have no problem whether you are in a new 1900Mhz T-mobile area or not.
Don't u have to type *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer and choose lte

There is nothing you have to do. Your phone will use any of the supported bands if available, 850,900,1800,1900,2100 or 1700/2100 automatically without you having to do anything.

Show Which GSM UMTS Frequency is Connected?

Hello,
I have searched all over the web about how to display which GSM or UMTS bands I am connected and using at the moment (i.e. 850mhz, 1900mhz, etc), but the ibky thing I have found is to get into the phone's service menu, but every time I try, either nothing works or I receive MMI code invalid.
Is there an app that cab do this for me? I just want to know which frequency O am using in determining what other international phones can work in my area on 3g. I am on T-Mobile and I know they have been converting to the 1900mhz band for some time now, so I want to confirm for sure.
*#*#INFO#*#* does not reveal the band, and *#*#SERVICE#*#* does nothing ...
Please help.
Thank you.

Try #*#*4636*#*#

Yeah #*#*4636*#*# does nothing either. BTW 4636 is INFO on the dialer.
*#*#4636#*#* works, but that doesn't show the frequency in use.

Nexus 4 network type problem

Basically I'm swing two different things on my nexus 4 about my network settings. The note I'm in UK on three service provider and in strong area where I get 8-18 Mbps down and 2 up on (h). Here's my issue when i type: *#*#4636#*#* this shows: network type - umts. But in the settings on about phone this shows: mobile network type hspa. Take note I'm on wcdma prefered. Am I just being a noob or is there something not right. And ibfound this when my speeds dropped to about 5 to 11 Mbps down but this was during 11pm to 2 am. Can anyone help I've tried every other option like changing band to LTE and CDMA and gsm but nothing works and thanks.

Having network issue with octa version, any help?

My provider only uses HSPA +/LTE, the phone always downgrades to hspa (non +) and sometimes 3g which my provider doesn't support so I loose my data connection and it sometimes takes a really long time for it to go back to the proper hspa+ that I need it to use all the time. Anybody knows if I can somehow force the phone to use hspa+ 100% of the time?
Thanks

Switch to HSPA+ only mode. Probably wont work with phone calls unless you VOIP.
How??

You must be mixing up HSPA+ with LTE. I don't think there's a way to choose between HSPA/HSPA+/UMTS, they're all considered 3G or WCDMA (unless you're in Canada.. carriers lie here, those networks shown as 4G are actually 3G)

Well when my phone shows 3g or hspa I cant get anything to load online, it will stay on this mode for a while sometimes and then as soon as the phone shows hspa+ everything loads perfect. Every othere phone I have bought from Bell mobility in canada show hspa+ all the time.

I also had an unlocked Note 2 with exynos processor that did the same thing.

I just tried making a call with my Note 3 (S800) and it was able to make a call on HSPA+ on TELUS. I think either your location doesn't have good HSPA+ signal / it's overloaded or there's a problem with the phone, does it support all the 3G frequencies Bell uses?

I know, you said "switch to HSPA+ only but you may not be able to make calls." You can switch to LTE only and you will not be able to make calls. You can make calls on HSPA+.

call #9090#.
Will bring up configuration menu.
Should be tons of radio mode options. One should be HSPA+ only.
Must be the wrong code, *9090* doesn't do anything and *#9090# brings me to a service menu which has no radio settings

Bell mobility uses "UMTS/HSPA compatible on 850 and 1900 MHz bands" which is supported by the note 3, I just dont get why both my unlocked exynos note 2 (got rid of it 1 month after I bought it because of this problem) and also the exynos note 3 have this problem on bell mobility in canada.....

You can always edit data retry to a smaller number in your build.prop.
"ro.telephony.default_network" is the build.prop entry for which default network you're on. You could figure out which one of those corresponds to HSPA+ (probably through trial and error).
**edit
Oh, you may just have to flash a new modem then O.0
My N9005 is missing quite a few radios at the moment as well.
Wish I could do all of that lol

Maybe there is sime kind of problem with your sim and/or phone...
I'm with Virgin (owned by Bell and same network). My device is switching between 3G and HSPA+... And it's working perfectly fine.

see if this works:
Settings > More Networks (under connections) > Mobile Networks > Network Mode = choose the option which you like and see if it works.
heads up, even with settings forced from here my network sometimes fluctuates.
