I have tried messing with Action Memo but I have no idea why I would use it?
What does it do?

Action memo can convert what you wrote to a contact or navigation or url link or a number of other options.

Action Memo does what it sounds like. You can take action on the memos you take. The bar that pops up is the list of actions available to your memo.

Add Application shorcut to home screen

I was able to add a application's activity shortcut by long press on home screen of my S1, upgrading to S4 and I couldn't find that option anymore. It's only App and widget. I'm trying to add a shortcut for Handcent's quick reply action. Is there a way to achieve this, I'm not sure if I should buy Tasker just to get this done :silly:By the way, I'm using Omega ROM.
Thanks.

Go to Apps and widgets> and You woudl get your Handcent's widget there just add it.
Thanks manu44, however available Handcent's widgets just let you view the msg, not quick reply.
I found the solution in case someone has the same inquiry. Found the app QuickshortcutMaker, it will let you to search for actions per app and create a shortcut for that action on home screen.

When keyboard is open, long press the microphone symbol (bottom row, between SYM and spacebar). A bar with six icons will pop up. 3rd from the left (looks like a battery to me) will open up anything in clipboard. This is the only way I'm aware of but not sure if there's another way.

Thanks for pointing this out. Also if you long press on one od the items in the clipboard, it opens a contextual menu with additional options for your clips. I like the lock feature. I've always used an app called "Clipper " but I'm gonna play with Samsung's Clipboard app and see if I like it .

Thank you guys for this. I didn't know that was possible.
Is there a way to get to the clipboard if you're not using the Samsung keyboard? I am using Swype.
Thanks again.

Good question. Occasionally I'm in some text editor and I see a panel of clipboard of copied and cut text snippets, but I don't know how to recreate it.

Yeah, I've been using Clipper for about 3 years now, the best I've found so far. I like the sync feature with the PRO version because it sync's across all my android device. I like that you can create sets, I have an email set that holds all my email addresses. Very handy little app. Haven't had any problems using it with my Note 3.

S-Pen Action Memo apk?

Hi all, does anyone happen to have the apk.file for the S-Pen Action Memo app? I may have deleted it when clearing out all my bloatware. I can open the Action Memo app but it won't let me create a new memo when clicking on the + icon. Also when I click on action memo in the click wheel phone doesn't do anything. Tia

Action memo works with this four files (needed from a full ROM) :
QuickMemoCover.apk
QuickMemoWidget.apk
SecQuickMemo.apk
SecQuickMemoApp.apk
copy them to /system/app and change chmod to 664 and then reboot.
Voila Action memo / quick memo and widgets works.
:good:

How to use camera on cm11 (noob friendly)

People have been posting in the cm11 forum's that the camera won't show up,so let me show you how to fix that.
There are two ways you can do this.
1st method,
As you can see there is no camera shortcut
So go into settings and click lock screen, then there will
Be a option called camera shortcut click it, now you can launch camera from your lock screen.
2nd method.
As you can see there is no camera icon,so go to settings and click interface, now click Quick settings panel.
Underneath Static tiles is tiles and layout, press this.
Now there are a bunch of squares, press the plus, now select camera. Now when you want to use the camera just swipe down on the left and press camera and you will see a little square that can move, now press it and you can take a picture.
And that's how you use camera!
Give thanks if I helped you
