Hey guys,
i have a question but I am not allowed to post in the development forum.
Is App2SD in V4.0 still optional or do I have to partition my sdcard?
Please can you help me?
Marcel
If you don't partition your sdcard, it won't use app2sd.
i know.
But I can use this rom without app2sd too. Is that right?

Thank you.
Your Rom is amazing.
I have another question:
Now I decided to use app2sd and it is really fast. But I have another problem. I can't add widgets to my screen except widgets by system apps.
Can anyone help me? Maybe I forgot a step after flashing my phone.
If im not wrong all apps that uses widgets must be on phone's memory in order to get full access to its functions

Thats because app2sd+ moves the /data folder to a sd's partition right?

Hi there,
Has anyone been able to move apps from the internal memory of their S4 to the SD card without rooting the phone?
At the present time I have only been able to cut and paste photos, videos and music, rather than my apps.
I've tried a few different apps which claim to move apps without the need for rooting, however none of them seem to work.
My apologies if this is a stupid question, I have finally seen the light and ditched my Iphone 4 for the S4, so this is my first android phone.
Thanks
Rob
I want to know the method too
Besides, I have rooted my phone but no way to move apps to sd...

Guys, Is it possible to move the app to the SD if the phone rooted ?? & how about if its not rooted ??
Since, Samsung said that the app can be only installed in the main memory not the SD. which isn't a big deal at all with the 16gb, since half of it gone to the OS !!
Thanks alot
I'm too looking for such a solution. Please help!
You can use this with root (I use it and it works great):

Don't think you can without root.
Hi all ; in my case, my phone is new, so I uninstalled the 3 apps that I downloaded, and tried to re-install it directly in the SD directory, but I'm not able to find a setting to chose where I need to install the downloaded apps ! any solution ?
great thanks ...
I used to use Link2SD so I can install apps on my sd card. Is it not working anymore?
I'm sorry, I forget to precise that I didn't root my device; is there a way to install apps directly in the SD without root ?

So, basically, FolderMount is just linked the apps to SD card? I've tried it just for 1 app though. Gonna try to link other apps.
Apps2SD, Links2SD, AppMgr just fail, even with root access.
Even Foldermount only works properly if you're trying to link to data stored on actual internal SD (ie games like Need For Speed and Shadowgun). Any game or app stored in /data are a pain to relocate.

So, even FolderMount's not really moving the apps? Argh, is there any method to move the apps? I'm getting frustrated.

Foldermount works doing it with some apps but you need to move everything manually.

Did anyone make it successfully without root and an emulated SD card? Because on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505 - 4.2.2 android system) I have an emulated SD card (which is the device storage). This is a picture, how it is look like now (sorry for the hungarian language):
This picture is made in Total Commander
Can anybody do it? With or without root?
help

i want to swap my internal memory to external memmory. i just bought a uhs-1 64gb memory card i have s5 (exynos) with latest update xxu1ang3
There are a lot of threads on this subject, so I have to wonder why you didn't do a search before posting? It would have given you a faster answer as well.
Google search: script swap external internal sd storage samsung xda
I used mattiadj's script on the S5 with good results

Why don`t you use FolderMount https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=nl and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122?
+1 for folder mount, it's a life saver if you have a lot of huge apps. Saying that can't the S5 move apps to SD natively? There is an option at times to move to SD? There was a script a while ago which was called ext2internal it was made for the S3 and literally swapped the memories around. Could try contacting the creator but unless he has an S5 i highly doubt he will do it.
