I am looking a way to organize my apps into folders.
I do not like to have them all....arranged alphbetically.... I want to put the and organize them in folders.
I noticed that HTC's SENSE 5 has one more option (Alphabetical, Most Recent and CUSTOM). By choosing custom, you can arrange apps in folders.
Is there any way to add this option in NEXUS 4?
I do not like the idea of creating homescreens with folders. I want the homescreens free for the widgets.
Thank you
Do you mean folders in the app drawer?
In that case nova launcher can do it and maybe others

Just use a custom launcher. I know that buzz launcher has this functionality

Hey guys, greetings from over at the SGS4G section. My wife has a mt4g and wants some more themes... But she won't let me root it or change it in any way...lol.
So.. are there any themes that she can add to the stock rom?

No, not without root. Your only option is to change the look of the homescreen by using a third-party launcher like LauncherPro or ADW. Those offer a lot of customization and can be used without root. Launcher themes don't change near as much of the phone's appearance as a full system theme does though.
Dxtop, go launch

Thanks guys, just wasn't certain since it came with the sense themes

yep, best bet is the hundreds of different themes with 3rd party launchers.. adw/launcher pro. If she wants wants to change the look of her icons i think anycut or bettercut doesnt require root. Desktop visualizer is worth a look ad well.

Go launcher ex is free and has a bunch of themes. Also they are icon packs u can choose if you put them on your sdcard from the themes section I believe. Desktop visualizer will let you change the icons on screen and go launcher will let you put custom icons on the bottom bar.

I am not rooted and do not wish to use a launcher. I am not keen on folders either. Is there a way of sorting my apps?
Cheers!

The only way of that is doing smethng on the home screen. The app drawer is already alphabetical.

App drawer apps are already a to z. Folders are great and apps can be dragged in any order within them. You should really consider a second launcher, GO in particular, but they all offer so much more than stock. Changing the folder icon and sorting drawer options are just 2 of the many perks.
Well I have now installed Go Launcher, but I can't work out how to organise my home screen icons. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me. Thanks!

You've probably figured it out by now, but it's just long press and select "apps" or "widgets" or whatever and they will get added. You can long press the icon to edit it (change it to any icon you have in gallery). Drag 2 together to make a folder and edit folder icon.

if you mean is making folders inside app drawer then you can yous adw or go launcher for that
Nova Launcher Prime also lets you create folders, and in my opinion is faster than ADW and light years faster than Go Launcher.
These apps are all good and we'll but I don't like the ICS look and I would like something permanent and not an app like a root mod or something..

That doesn't make sense, just get a new launcher. It is permanent.

Is there any app / way to achieve this? There are two many apps that I do not launch on a regular basis which I do not want to appear in the App Menu but keep the app available to launch when required using Swapp or any other Gesture App Launcher like GMD. My Nexus 4 is rooted. I have tried few apps to hide but I am unable to launch them while hidden.

Many third-party launchers have the ability to hide apps (nova, apex, action) from the app drawer. If you wish to run one of these hidden apps, simply search for it-either in the launcher's search or with Google now.

Sorry, forgot to mention.. If possible I would like to avoid third party launchers. I am happy with the stock launcher.

Stock launcher doesn't have this option. If you want to hide icons, you have to get a third party one. Sorry.

I'm trying to organise my homescreen and I want to sort my apps into folders but I want the folders to know as just words on the homescreen instead of showing the folder. I don't really know how to explain it, I swear I've seen screenshots of people's homescreens organised like this. Does anyone have any idea?
You'll need to use a custom launcher mate

I have apex launcher installed and i've been looking for the answer for a few hours, i just don't know what to do.
Make an icon in Photoshop, Gimp or whatever (use transparent background and save as PNG), edit folder properties and use this PNG file as icon (download if to phone first of course). I'm not sure how does it work in Apex but in Nova it's pretty simple.
Somehow my GT-i9505 sent this...
