[Q] Unlocked Att gs4 work on Verizon? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hey guys. Is there a way to make an AT&T gs4 work on Verizon? I'm trying to sell mine to get ready for the Note 3. I have it rooted and unlocked but wasn't sure about getting it to work on Verizon. Most people where I live are on big red and it makes it hard to sell. Thanks.

Check out swappa if you haven't already. Lots of S4's selling there. Cheers

No it can't. They use different technologies, sorry bro

Theres no way to make it work on verizon. I say try locally more but youll have better luck on swappa. I say avoid ebay due to fees and scammers.

Not happening. AT&T=GSM / Big Red=CDMA
They have 2 different types of antennas.

Has anyone bought from Amazon Wireless

I was wondering if anyone used Amazon wireless before? I just joined verizon using Amazon and bought the gNex. As we know the cdma version has many bugs, and you might get a bad one. I asked them indirectly about replacements eetc and they said they don't do it... What do I do now? Any specific wording I should use when I call again?

I noticed they have the Samsung Note for $249 for new customers. I wonder if they'll match that offer at the AT&T store?
Anybody know??

I've never bought any phones from them, but they are notorious for great return policies. I'm sure that carries over to phones as well.

Amazon is probably better than Verizon at return policies.

I've bought two phones through Amazon.
The first was the Rezound on Verizon for a penny, the second was the Amaze for T-mobile.
Know that they WILL charge you a fee (I forget what, maybe 150$/250$) if you cancel within 6 months of, buying the phone.
I did however, have an issue, with the charging cable that came with the Rezound, and Amazon wireless was very nice and replaced the whole package (phone, cable charger....) immediately.

I bought a Nexus S 4G from Amazon Wireless last year when I was trying to figure out which carrier worked best in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, it wasn't Sprint, but Amazon Wireless was amazing throughout the whole experience. They took my return with no questions asked and I didn't even have to communicate with Sprint at all--Amazon took care of everything during my 30-day trial period.
I bought my Nexus through Amazon wireless and I've sent it back to Verizon for a replacement. No hassle, just bring the phone into a Verizon store and they will check it out for you.
Not sure if you are asking for a complete refund though, never had to do that :/

Unlocking my ATT S4

I really want to sell my phone. I know I can get more money for it if us unlocked. Ive already googled how to unlock it and it seems pretty simple. My question is should I unlock it before its sold? Never unlocked a phone lol so sorry for this question.

Unlocked always adds a little bit more value to a device.
Why not?

I just got an ATT S4 I was planning to end my postpaid account with ATT and using prepaid.
I read in a forum somewhere that says you have a better chance of getting your non-iPhone device unlocked thru ATT international chat.
I tried numerous times with all my devices thru ATT unlocking to no avail. This time i tried the international chat just for the hell of it. Gave her my info and etc and what do know? It worked, she gave me instructions and the unlocked code. Another shocker is that this phone isn't even registered under my account.

Trade AT&T version for Tmo????

What do you guys and gals think? Should I try and sell my note 3and get a Tmo, or trade for a tmobile note. I'm not sure how long it'll take for the bootloader to be unlocked. I'm horrible with patience when it comes to technology. I need some advice and or positive criticism if one feels it's a bad idea. My only concern with buying /trading on craigslist or any other secondhand purchasing option, is getting a phone that may possibly be blacklisted. Thoughts?

If having an unlocked bootloader is that important to you then I'd say DEFINITELY get rid of that AT&T variant note 3 for a T-Mobile variant!! I have the opportunity to get an AT&T variant at anytime for pretty much free but continually refuse the offer simply because the bootloader is locked and much rather wait until I have the $700+ to put out on a T-Mobile variant!

I think I do, I've been corresponding with this guy on craigslist. My of concern again, is the imei blacklist. I don't want to trade phones, then risk having the Tmobile version end up on the gsm blacklist.

It should work as long as it's not carrier locked and the bands are all the same. (Buy a Google Play Edition or a international variant if possible.)
Smack that thanks button If I helped!

If you don't want to spend the money get a att phone on contract ...
Phones cost money, especially off contract.
Plus a used s4 is going to cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars, more if they are carrier unlocked.

[Q] Does the jfltespr work on tmobile network?

I'm thinking of switching to tmobile, does anyone know if our device will fully work on their network?
Also, does anyone know of any sprint phones I can purchase today that will work fully on their network, even any iphones possible.
There's whole thread on how to unlock the Gs4 for T-Mobile so yes. And search more.

No not fully, you will not get LTE. Sell your Sprint phone on EBay or Craig's list and buy a Tmobile phone for full functionality.
