I was wondering if anyone used Amazon wireless before? I just joined verizon using Amazon and bought the gNex. As we know the cdma version has many bugs, and you might get a bad one. I asked them indirectly about replacements eetc and they said they don't do it... What do I do now? Any specific wording I should use when I call again?

I noticed they have the Samsung Note for $249 for new customers. I wonder if they'll match that offer at the AT&T store?
Anybody know??

I've never bought any phones from them, but they are notorious for great return policies. I'm sure that carries over to phones as well.

Amazon is probably better than Verizon at return policies.

I've bought two phones through Amazon.
The first was the Rezound on Verizon for a penny, the second was the Amaze for T-mobile.
Know that they WILL charge you a fee (I forget what, maybe 150$/250$) if you cancel within 6 months of, buying the phone.
I did however, have an issue, with the charging cable that came with the Rezound, and Amazon wireless was very nice and replaced the whole package (phone, cable charger....) immediately.

I bought a Nexus S 4G from Amazon Wireless last year when I was trying to figure out which carrier worked best in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, it wasn't Sprint, but Amazon Wireless was amazing throughout the whole experience. They took my return with no questions asked and I didn't even have to communicate with Sprint at all--Amazon took care of everything during my 30-day trial period.
I bought my Nexus through Amazon wireless and I've sent it back to Verizon for a replacement. No hassle, just bring the phone into a Verizon store and they will check it out for you.
Not sure if you are asking for a complete refund though, never had to do that :/

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a att branded Nexus S, found one on Craigslist for $300..
I think its a fair price, Guy is local and I'm tired of my Inspire.
Reasons I would like to buy it, smaller screen size, pure aosp, battery life...
I just got the inspire about 3 months ago and will more then likely keep it..
What are things I should look for to make sure it is the real deal or just in general?
Any help is appreciated honestly.
I know I could wait for something better to come out ina few months but I don't use my phone for gaming, just purely alot of web browsing, texting and surfing forums..
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Only advantage to the Inspire is screen size. I have owned a Inspire and currently own a NS4G and I like both, but Nexus is smooth. When I buy phones I really just check cosmetic and play with it and check about phone to see what its on and browse the interwebs for a few.
Make sure it is truly the i9020a version and not the i9020t or some other variant. Otherwise it isn't truly the AT&T phone (would not work with 3G otherwise).
What should the about read besides 2.3.4 which kernal is stock etc and thanks for the replies guys keep then coming please

Does the a and t stand for the carriers? Obviously att and T-Mobile?

Nexus S phones do not have the carrier branding. Only Samsung and Google in the back.
Basically I was asking if the "a" at the end of the model number is for at&t?

That I am not sure but, I told him I wanted to me up and he goes, ok my friend works downtown and ill confirm with him, I'm assuming he posted for a friendz but then goes on to say the Guy, who apparently owns his own business.
So sounds kinda sketchy to me, if a Guy can run a business downtown why can't he post his own ad?

Get the IMEI # and call att check it. If he wont give it to you then move on! Gsm phones don't have esn they take sims and you could end up with a stolen phone and not even know it. I know here in Austin they are going for less than what that guy is asking. Just seen a white one for $260 and it was squeky clean.

The AT&T nexus s is only $99 on contract, so $300 for LBNIB isn't sketchy--but the white ns for $260 kind of is. I say meet with the guy if you like the price, inspect for damages and all accessories, then stick your sim in and wait for that 3G or H symbol to pop up. Also make test calls and take pics to ensure speakerphone/mic/camera/etc. is working.
I just bought a LBNIB for $325, so $300 is a good deal imo.

So I just talked to him again, he sent the pictures like he said he would, sweet baby jesus she looks fine! lol
Turns out the reason he mentioned his friend was because they are old business partners and the actual seller wouldn't be able to meet me in person, because he would be at work, so he is going to give the phone to his friend, who he trusts to meet up with me.
I didn't ask the guy where he worked but his friend works downtown here and it's not to far for me, so hopefully all goes well..

When I was looking for a sprint one (which i since decided to cancel my contract shortly and go prepaid but thats another story lol) I was able to find a few for ~400 or so. I've seen a couple online retailers selling for ~450.
I haven't even seen any used ones though. Which kind of irritates me as that would probably be the only way I could get one. Seeing as I prefer to buy locally and not have to be without a phone for any major period of time.

Yes and no. Sprint sells them for $550 new. So online retails selling @ 450 are actually selling lower then sprint. Believe me I think its stupid too. This is one of the many reasons I'm ditching sprint in September/October and going gsm/prepaid

No, I worked for best buy and Verizon and T-Mobile. Oddly enough, T-Mobile people were the most informed because we had good communication from up top. Verizon was OK, not great, at giving us info. Best Buy is the worst. Not much training, they don't have answers, they pass stuff on that they change hours later. Incredibly disorganized.

T-Mobile store in Kingwood, TX where i live has them, i'm stopping in tonight for a peek and see if they'll sell me one!
I just got the email to register my information and to see if I'm qualified for the $100 gift card or if the phone is greater. As long as your phone is still usable with no damage you will something. I'm pretty happy because I'm going to get $100 gift card for this crappy Samsung Intercept that I have been patient with for so long lol.
Now all I need is the 'One' and life will be good
just sold my One X for $360 on eBay..
might give up my old blackberry if they willing to give $100 for just any phone long as it in good condition
I'm currently on a Motorola Photon, but I also still have my previous phone, an HTC Touch Pro2... I'm thinking about turning in the TP2 for the $100 gift card, and turning the MoPho over to Sprint for the $40 statement credit... Double dipping.
Only reason I've been keeping the TP2 around was for occasional international travel, as the MoPho is a little hit and miss when it comes to recognizing data capabilities on foreign SIM cards (has something to do with being unable to read the APN on the SIM). I've actually used the TP2 as a wireless hot spot for my MoPho when traveling internationally, which is goofy. Hopefully the One won't have this problem, never was able to figure out if the problem was caused by Motorola, Sprint, or some combination... Each kept pointing at the other.
