I'd love to nuke the "quiet mode" and "battery saver" notifications but they seem to be originating from Settings.apk which does not allow me to disable notifications the normal method. Is there another method, perhaps a CLI method?

Is there a way to get the notifications on the "Always On" screen if I use an alternate messaging app, like Textra? Thanks!
nope.
this is pretty frustrating. i left the native app alone and it still doesn't show notifications. so it must not show just because the native app isn't set as default.
Anyone have any idea of how to do any of these things now that we have root? I have looked around and couldn't find anything specific for the S7/S7e...
Disable screen on for text messages
Disable "Finding Location" notification
Disable LED when Do Not Disturb is on
Different boot animation
Enable factory messaging block option
Xposed modules should take care of all of that.
After updating to Nougat, I can no longer disable message previews now with out disabling all vibration and sound.... WTF?? Of course Samsung removed the System UI Timer access too so that option is out. Anyone figure out how to hide message previews? It's annoying as hell when you're trying to show someone your phone and all your messages are hitting them right in the face.
Solution is here.

Yes, but you missed the "without disabling all vibration and sound" part.
How can I disable lockscreen notification for my mail and WhatsApp only? Without disabling all notifications for these apps? I hate the new setting. Previously I was able to disable lockscreen and peeking G and now I can't. Do t want other to see what I'm getting while my phone is locked.
If you install a program on CrystalSky, by CrystalSky unchecks the " allow notifications " box in the "App Info". CrystalSky does allow you to enable it back on, and the app can send notifications, but if you reboot the CrystalSky it automatically unchecks the the "allow notifications" box again. Is there a program that can re enable notifications for selected or even all programs at boot? I have it rooted if that helps. Is there a file/setting I can modify / edit to stop it from blocking notifications?
Thank you.
