just read this as well
I don't think the person who wrote this understands what by month end means. The article says that Canada will get it next month, and the quote says dev edition this week and Canada by month end, as in by the end of september. Late september has been confirmed by both telus and rorgers... Way to be..
It says latest sense... 5.5 maybe?

Yea it's annoying but blame the carriers I think htc is truly trying as they were able to accomplish this on the dev edition and Canada ones if it wasn't for our stupid carriers we would be on the list too as htc have completed that version of sense but our carriers don't really care they only care about what's hot, thank the iPhone for slow android updates in the usa, thank god Google handles the nexus line or else we'd be even more screwed as android users

Gallary/Camera Improvements:

-Video Highlights Life Microfilm: Now able to add personalized background music
I hope it solves the data issues from 3.17.401.2, does anyone know if the radio has changed from that base?
Have the final 4.3 Sense 5.5?

The video is real, many sites have it reported that many manufacturers had Android 2.4 running on several devices there.
Also look at the baseband version they are running there. It is newer than ours ...
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Anyone notice the i9023 baseband?
edit: /\ that guy did.
OK that video is in German. The woman in the video says that the nexus is ready to be sold and that it is not shure yet which carrier will get it. Price will be somewhere between 500 and 550€, like the sgs. It is also not clear if it will get a samoled or a slcd, she said.
I think the vid is legit, she seems to be from Samsung or something like that...
Could it be that its just a specific version of 2.3 made for German NS? Similar to the Motorolla Droid's having custom versions of 2.1/2.2? I've read a lot of rumors on 2.4 but nothing seriously confirmed. I can't imagine the UI would be that different from 2.3-2.4, but then again I didn't think that there would be such drastic difference from 2.2-2.3.
I've read alot on every android website possible concerning these rumors, and nobody really has anything solid other than alternate baseband numbers and pictures of the Xperia and NS running 2.4
In Sweden it will be called I9023. (Stated by Samsung)
How will it differ, SW/HW wise apart from the SLCD screen, will be intresting. (Prob only SW)

Hasn't even been announced yet, so I doubt anyone even has a clue But I imagine it may launch/be released about the same time as Honeycomb is fully announced, so maybe end of January/early Feb.
I read somewhere that 2.4 is mostly going to be gingerbread with just updates. More or less how Moto Droid started with 2.0 then moved to 2.1, still eclair but it included updates and what not.
Its here, leaked Screenshots (____)

Same here. It may as well be 2.3.7.
The main UI will be largely the same however certain elements will have more of a 3.x twist to them, like the widget screen and app switcher.
Also apps will work differently when in landscape (tablet mode) to portrait (phone mode).

Taken from Engadget comments.
-Honeycomb uses a much newer kernel build, 2.6.36, and ICS was allegedly supposed to use the new Linux 3.0 kernel
-Phone icon taken directly from froyo, not even gingerbread
-Android version is supposed to say the version number, not name, even with previous leaks with gingerbread they always showed the number. ie 3.1 or 4.0
-This has a teal blue theme rather than the dark blue colors of Honeycomb
-App tray should be semi-transparent, where are the holographic UI elements from Honeycomb?
- Shouldnt the clock have an LED font?
- That power control widget has been removed ever since Honeycomb

Nothing against the guy but I dont see the real point in editing the pictures, infact i dont see the whole point of this "proof of concept" photo. Was expecting more changes from ICS though.. I wonder how it performs resolution scaling with apps?
I still hope those are fake or just an early test version. Can't really see much improvement if that's what ICS looks. Hopefully it will be much better than that.
Just read this article about the 1.29 OTA which is currently rolled out (sorry, it's in german): http://www.androidpit.de/htc-one-update-fotos
(you see before and after pictures, with after on the right)
I knew that HTC did something to the camera software, but I didn't expect the results to be THAT different, looks awesome! Like the author says, it looks like "the gray veil has been lifted"!
HTC One updated with camera enhancement suite and more in Europe
• Improvement to sound capture with Zoe
• Noise reduction in slow motion movie capture
• Improved color reproduction and dynamic range (reduced over-exposure in non-HDR images) in certain conditions
• Fix to display correct ISO in EXIF information when ISO settings are manually changed by the user
• Improved system performance and stability

Because those devices are their most popular models. But i swear if they give us 6.0 and not 6.0.1, that'll be so stupid. 6.0.1 has already been out for a month. And Sammy limited the scrolling speed for hopefully smoother scrolling. I can't wait for that, actually
I think Note 5 will get official 6.0 after Feb 21, some time after it, they will reveal S7 along with M 6.0.1 hopefully and we see. it's quite a shame, G4 G3 HTC all got android 6 already, if sammy preapres 6.0.1 with a sweet surprise that would be nice, but as we know sammy, it will ship Android 6.0 hopefully without major bugs.

Unfortunately, white is the color of choice now. The black color in Android is associated with Android Gingerbread, an era in design both Google and Samsung would rather forget.
It would be nice to get an option to pick the theme though.

Its the lack of updates that is going to end up pushing me into a new phone. And sorry but that theme is ugly as sin.
I think Samsung's internet speed is very slow. The upload hasn't been completed yet:laugh:

Either they were trolling or the leaks were not currected, OR they decided to make it with with as less as bugs possibe, and provide 6.0.1 with it.
Samsung is (and always has been) terrible with software support. It's common knowledge that their devices will almost always be behind on updates. Nothing here is surprising.
