Hi!
I'm curious if this is just me. On my wife razor M running cm 10.2 the cpu sits at Max speed while charging. It deep sleeps like normal when unplugged

I just got my phone today but I feel like it is getting a little too warm. I installed system tuner to check the temps and seems like I am running about 47-50C on regular use. And it gets up to 60C while charging and It feels warm in hand. Curious to know what are your temps? Thanks.

77% in 49 min and screen on for 49 min. Is this bad battery life? What would make it better? Thanks guys. I'm on cm10.1 with Franco. Clocked at 1026 min and 1512 max.
sounds average. Doesn't sound bad. Bad would be 49 mins screen on and you're at 50%. Screen brightness all the way down? Or is this cranked to the max?

All the way down. Good to hear that's it's not too bad though
Wait, could you tell us your governor? Franco kernel uses interactive as a default which in that case, you don't need to put the minimum to that high
49 minutes unplugged and 49 minutes screen on on 77% isn't that good at all. You should get at least 1 hour-1.5 if you were using it constantly.

That's not so good IMO, I attached some pictures of what I'm getting, I'm also on CM10.1 and Franco.
You should flash Franco's and let it be, don't put the lower value that high.
Autobrightness on, Sync on, wifi always on, but not always connected (I always forget turn it off )
Could you please check how many mA Battery Monitor Widget reports?
Mine only shows 1500mAh, even when the battery is fully charged.
Would be interesting to know if this is a faulty battery or just displayed wrong.
Maybe that's why some get pretty good battery life, and on some it's really ****ty.

I was using ondemand because my nexus was lagging for some reason and it helped but a clean wipe fixed that. I'll try interactive again

Really depends on what you're doing in that 49 minutes. If you're playing games, have poor data connection, uploading to dropbox etc you can see the battery deplete really quickly. I never get great battery life because I use my phone a lot with the screen brightness all the way up.

Also use latest Franco. He fixed a lot of things on the latest test version and it is smooth enough to use it in daily basis.
Also could you tell us what you were doing in that 49 minutes? Games take so much battery out thanks to beefy 1.5 GHz quad core processor. Thanks

Hi fellow Finders,
I have a question about the battery life. I have recently switched to cyanogenmod 10.1 but I am having trouble with the battery life, and in the picture attached it seems that the cpu is running full power since I unplugged my device.
Does anyone has the same problem, I am just listening to music this morning and already I am left 20% less battery than 1.5 hours ago.
Is it good to install a different kernel than the standard cm? Or are there other solutions?
Greetings,
xkyuz

Apparently the governor is the problem as mentioned in the original cm 10.1 thread. Changing the governor to conservative did the trick for me

Only the trick with the governor can help you!!
Hey
I bought my nexus 7 about three days ago and I think I have an issue.
When browsing the internet or watching a movies my nexus can reach 35c and when playing tegra 3/Gameloft games it reaches 39-40c is it normal? Happens to all?
It's little annoying and I can't enjoy these games....
Any ways to solve this problem?
What are you talking about, thats waay to low, my OC-ed nexus 7 can reach upto 70c and about 69c should be the top limit, 50c is usual temp, or atleast it should be when browsing

What the hell? 70 celsius ? you can cook with your NEXUS 7 LOL
How you deal with it?
well you know, undervolt for about -100mv, which is pretty stable, if necessary lower my oc to 1.5 ghz and it never crosses 63-64
sorry if i offend you with this question, but is it possible that you were looking at your battery temp, not cpu?
because usually those temps are from the battery, it seems just too low for almost a high end device (atleast it was)

Yes I mean battery temp
minecraft
I have had the same issues with the heat on my device. I notice it gets pretty warm quick right where the rear camera is and also the glass gets pretty hot too. I been playing minecraft and it heats up quick, I checked the battery temp with an app and it reached to 31C. This was from playing for about 15 minutes. Browsing the net or watching youtube doesn't have much effect but watching a video with the browser did make the device pretty warm. I gotta admit when playing games its pretty uncomfortable.
Even 40c isn't that hot for an electronic device. I remember my old Galaxy S 4G used to get a battery temperature of 52+ while charging and playing guns n glory in a non air conditioned guard house. Every so often I'd stick it in our mini fridge for a few mins to cool it down.
I would've loved to see how hot that poor processor got, but battery temp was the only one you could check on that device.
