Before my question, I thought I would let you all know that you can build your own custom remote with the Quick Remote app. You can completely customize the layout and add whichever buttons you want and then teach each button a command from your current remotes. I have attached a photo of mine.
My question is how would I backup my custom remote if I change roms? I don't want to have to rebuild it lol.

Couldn't you just back up that system app with TiB? Then restore app/data?

is there any way to install a zip file to achieve this mod? The ones i read seem to have restricted to a certain firmware.
Someone please guide us.. I'm also looking for this kind of MOD. Thanks!

I created a desktop shortcut to a reboot script which trigger a fast reboot. I know that is not exactly what you want but in case you just need a convenient reboot function, that could be a useful workaround.
Quick Boot on the Market does a pretty good job also. And free.
No love for root users? Damn we need ics fast!!!!
Thanks for the headsup guys.
Thanks, btw. Yeah, I need the Power Menu MOD, i think this is okay for the time being, since I won't get help on this situation, nobody gonna build or develop the power menu MOD for me. Thanks.

Looking good. I just did exactly that.
After upgrade to 4.3, i find one new feature interesting, restricted profile user.
I created restricted profile, when i want to switch profile, i need to push the power button twice to switch(logout/login).
So i am looking for apps can switch user without push the power button.
Anyone know that?
Thanks.

Can you not use the pull down menu on the right side of the screen? Click on your profile PIC and it should take you to the lock screen where you can select a profile.

Is it possible to modify the lock screen settings to allow a live wallpaper option? I know this can be done standard on aosp/cm roms. Looking for a mod on the LG side of things.
I know there was alot of lag on my wife's g pro phone with live wallpapers in general. I wonder LG set it that way so there would be no/less lag.

If its impossible please explain why. A live wallpaper issue has to be easier to accomplish then some of the bootloaders our bad a** devs have cracked.

On the DNA, you had the option of setting up the lockscreen with a Live Wallpaper. It wasn't a special mod or anything, it just came that way. Probably part of the Sense overlay. In any case, it was a standard available option.

I understand. LG also doesn't support root, custom recovery, and changing icons in the status bar. These options aren't impossible so why would a live wallpaper be impossible?
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
First you set LWP on your homescreen.
Open build.prop file and edit this line from:
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
to
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
Reboot your device.
Now you will see same LWP on your lockscreen too.
Root is required.

How difficult is that to understand that it is not supported??!! There is no point in arguing when I know what the fact is. Maybe a REAL DEV as you call can do it, but AFAIK no one can/could till date.

I had high hopes that this would work, but it doesn't work on my device (Stock, rooted). Every time I edit the buildprop and reboot as it prompts, it resets value back to true...hmm. Any suggestions?

I have one question. Did you save changes? And after saving make sure you set the build.prop file permission properly.
It worked for me on stock but changed my lockscreen to the aosp lockscreen

Not a lot more I can add to the list but if you guys are interested in customisation head over to the candy shop 4.4 forum.
Also I currently have touch control and screen off running, giving me the function of knock on from LG g2 and the ability to lock from screen, so basically all gestures and no use of power button. A pretty cool feature to have in my opinion.

FYI. It doesn't sync with the atomic clock but instead is pretty much just NTP. It looks to sync with a stratum 2 server at ntp.org which is a few removed from the atomic clock. I ran stratum 0 servers for a telcom.
This is a useful tool to specify what ntp server you want to sync with but TMO, AT&T and the rest have stratum 0 servers that their handsets get time from over their respective networks.

Have tried Gsam, DU battery & circle battery (or something like that)..

and could someone suggest a good app to view what apps are currently running, how much battery/memory they using & the ability to kill them..
and perhaps kill all as well??

Yes I know, but sincerely I hate persistent apps notifications in notification bar... I have widget in lockscreen (and from some days ago the widget has change appearance, for me is very ugly...), but I prefer use complete remote from the app... However it's not a problem to click on a button after a few seconds, but if I can skip that screen can be better... Or delete also, and keep only remote

Yea I know what you mean. I actually use IR remote as well, it's handy as it opens straight into the remote after you have used one. I know some people don't like having more than one app for one purpose but it's free and work a look.
