After unlocking and doing smth. I have already expierienced, faster without lock sreen. It lags a bit, after unlocking and going to menu immediately. But i like to use it with lock sreen.
well, never happened to me are you on stock rom?

I can tell by all the lock screens and mods such as this that this may be doable. I bought the phone a day after launch and immediately wanted this:
Disable Menu-Menu to unlock
Disable the HTC lock screen (pulldown style - I hate this)
Most importantly - Only the END key should power the phone (not MENU) and it will go straight to the pattern unlock.
Please and thanks. Currently on DamageControl v2.05.
Awesome idea. The only reason I don't use a pattern is because it's a pain to go through 2 lockscreens if your phone locks itself while browsing the web or something.
Go for it!! Let us know how it turns out...
I would pay $10 to disable menu to unlock. I found an app on the marketplace that did it once, but it was very buggy and caused more problems than it solved.
I would also like a keypad (as in, numbers) instead of pattern unlock.

I'm running Freshhh 2.0d with the Vanilla lock screen, and flipz has made it to where menu, menu will not unlock the phone. Pressing menu does turn the display back on, but you have to actually swipe on the screen to unlock. I have been using it for a day or two now, and I have to say that it works great. My phone doesn't randomly unlock in my pocket anymore, and I don't have to use the security unlock to keep it from doing it!!! Thanks flipz!!!
A lockscreen with numbers like on the iphone and the palm pre would be nice. i dont like the pattern one.

Strange.... I am running the same Vanilla Lock Screen from Geekforme/Fresh on Damage Control v.2.05 and Menu Menu bypasses the lock screen and Menu (once) powers the display with the Eclair style lock screen.
EDIT: I see what you're talking about now. That's nice, almost perfect, now all I want is the Eclair lock screen disabled too and to go straight to Pattern!! So close!

Paypaling right now. It's ABOUT time someone did this!
How can I disable vibrate/haptic feedback during unlock on the vanilla lockscreen now?

Is there anyway to disable vibration while unlocking the screen. It's totally annoying! Preferably without installing alternate lockscreen.
My phone doesn't vibrate.
What rom are You using ?

By vibrate, I mean the haptic feedback you get while swiping to unlock the screen
Hello
yesterday i saw my friends galaxy s and when he wakes up the phone from sleep he only "use" the unlock pattern and then open the phone. But with my DZ i get the HTC sense lock and then the unlock pattern draw...i just want the unlock pattern without htc sense lock before is that possible?

Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but maybe try the No Lock app from the market...
hmm let me explain this I get the standard lockscreen display before I can unlock the phone, so it goes:
On/Off Button -> Lock Screen -> unlock pattern
i want it to go On/Off Button -> Unlock Pattern
is that possible?

Did you try the app I suggested? I think it does exactly what you are looking for...
There are also other apps on the market that disable the keyguard.

Ah sorry, I forgot it did that (I use WidgetLocker now to actually replace the lockscreen). I also don't run Sense, so there's normally no lockscreen anyway when pattern lock in enabled.
Looked online and seems like it is a common complaint among Sense users. No good solutions appear to exist from just my quick searches (short of switching to a different). Maybe someone else will have some ideas...
k thx for ur answer i hope someone have a solution
Is it at all possible to remove the T-Mobile screen lock? I want to use a pattern lock and not have to double unlock my screen. Thanks in advance.

what T-Mobile screen lock..?
are you talking about the lockscreen?
It's not T-Mobile lockscreen, it's HTC's. A regular lockscreen. You probably got confused, because it shows the current cellular carrier.
You can remove it by removing HtcLockScreen.apk from /system/app/.
You need root for that.
And I don't remember if the AOSP lockscreen that will appear, when switched to pattern lock, won't show the unlock arrows first. I didn't use it for a very long while.

If you want to stop using it completely, don't worry bout rooting your phone if that's your only issue. On the Android market there's a few lock screen replacement apps, that override the HTC one. Lock 2.0 an widgetlocker are the two in recommend the most, preferably widgetlocker, bit more options with it.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.

Is it possible to use pattern unlock and also have shortcuts on the lock screen?
The option seems to be grayed out when pattern unlock is enabled...
thanks
