Using Forward Facing Camera To Record Videos

I would like to use the forward facing camera to create some YouTube videos but the Nexus 7 doesn't come with the android camcorder app. I also expect there will be problems with many camcorder apps due to the fact that there is no "standard" camera and only the forward facing camera. Has anyone found a camcorder app that works well for creating YouTube compatible videos with the forward facing camera on the Nexus 7?
Many camera apps on the market should work. For example, look up the camera launcher for nexus 7 app from the play store. That's the simplest one.

Install Nexus 7 Camera Launcher from the Play Store. Then after that, do what the guy above me said, the 720p mod. It is very easy. All you have to do is flash the zip in a custom recovery. You have to be rooted to do the 720p mod.

Are you talking about a screen shot?

Would 1080p video look good on this?

Been wondering about this. Let's say I'm deciding between the Nexus 10 and the transformer infinity. Would 1080p video (or any video for that matter) look better on this 2560x1600 screen or the 1920x1080 screen of the infinity?

If it's only about 1080p, it would look better depending on the technology implemented on each screen, how the colours balance work and etc... Not because of the resolution, since we are talking about 1080p, and both of them support it.

The issue here is because any video would need to be upscaled on the Nexus 10. If viewed at the video's original resolution, it would not fill the Nexus 10's screen. I'm just wondering how it would look here.
Well of course that depends on the resolution that the video playback is formatted in. If you have a video equal to the Nexus 10 resolution than it will look better on the Nexus than any other device. Its all relative.

That 1080p video will always look better on a 1080p screen. Putting a 1080p video on a 1600p screen will cause upscaling that will always be inferior native outputting.

Indeed. I'm finding 720p high bitrate videos look great on the Nexus 10 perhaps better than 1080p. Likely because 2560x1600 is a multiple of 1280x720.

Yeah. Stretching a 720p video would just be substituted into 4 pixels. It makes sense.
I thought the infinity was 1920 x 1200.

Search for TimeScapes 4k 2560p and you can download the trailer. It plays smoothly and looks amazing on the Nexus 10.
Raw video from the 5D MKIII has a slight stutter but after it's processed it looks fantastic.

As long as the Quality (ability of producing right saturated and bright colors) & Resolution of the screen is greater then the image then it is fine. If the image details or resolution is greater than the screen then it is a waste of memory for that data. So 1080p video would look the same for any screen which has equal or greater resolution than 1080p. But if you play a 1080p video on a 720p screen thats a waste of quality and Megabytes.
So comparing a 1080p video on 1080p and 1600p screen (considering they have the same pysical size which is 10" in this case) would not make any difference on quality side. The difference should be revealed by comparing the color saturation, refresh rate, pixel arrengement, gap between pixels, reflection of the screen glass etc. Basicly the general screen quality and technology.
