Anyone got a second? - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I was wondering is their any apps or ways to record what happens on your screen? And I don't mean like a screen shot. I was thinking video recording. Anyone got any ideas?
Snugs.

Screen shot does have a motion/ video recording option.

Video rotation problem

Ok is this an issue with all phone or mine? Watch a video you have recorded and rotate it, does it do an ugly rotation where before it rotates it shows the video fliped and the image is strected? I will post a video if you don't understand later. Basically does rotating a video have an ugly animation?

looks like it blinks a couple times before rotating
And you see the video in the wrong format?

A good videocamera-app???

Hey everyone,
I'm searching for a good app to shoot videos on my
WildFire... although, no success...
I'm using Vignette Pro for shooting photos which is Awesome.
But the video-function can't seem to work for me.
I've tried Qik but can't seem to find the .apk that suits my device.
So now I'm looking for an other app that can shoot videos.
Can anyone help me out?
Bumpy bump...
Anyone?
U use cyanogen?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Yes, CyanogenMod 6 latest release (Stable).
Why?
Any video cameras working for stock wildfire?

Camera360 Ultimate,
awesome app
Vignette is as good as Camera360 and you can find the
full version .apk easilly online. The problem is that it gives an error
when I'm trying to film something... :S
I use cyanogen with nightly 60
,i installed diffrent versions, but every one he crashes.
Sorry for bad english

Is there anyway to film in mp4 on stock froyo?
I'm using VignettePro too. It never crashes when I switch to video mode. I'm using stock ROM though
It looks like there isn't any functional video recording app except stock HTC camera. So you must use Sense ROM if you want this. I use Openfire ROM, and have same problem. Vignette records video, but quality is really horrible.
sry if bad englesh
Is there any app that will increase the recording resolution? Seeing as other 2.2 devices got HD recording with the update, maybe HD would be too much for the Wildfire, but an overclocked CPU surely could handle at least 640x480 if not a bit more?

Miui camera 720p

Does anyone have a working MIUI camera that supports 720P on the evo? I have been having issues with 720P recording with MIKROM 2.61 and wanted to find a different camera app to see if the app is the issue. I am told MIUI CAMERA app works better. I found a MIUI MULTICAMERA 17 signed APK and installed it but it doesnt support 720P on the evo (no choice for that setting).
any ideas?? or is there a better camera app for video recording? (I also tried LG CAMERA but it freezes when you try to record 720p)

Q & A section bud. Ask a Mod to move it.
It doesn't support 720P. At all, as far as I know.

Not to be a nag, but you are posting in the wrong section, never the less...
I don't believe MIUI supports 720p. I've never had an issue with 720p while running MIKROM. One thing to consider, lots people overlook the speed of their micro sd card. Most use a micro sd card with a low transfer rate. I found using a speed of 6 or higher prevent the jittering of the video.
hope this provides you useful information.

New HDR Video.

I noticed many people (including myself) trying to figure out HDR video in the new MEA base. This thread is for that discussion. Hopefully someone will be able to give a clear answer on it and it will help everyone. So what magic must be done to enable HDR video? Is it on by default or is there some hidden setting?

thus far havent been able to do it with stock or ktoonsez kernels. how it works is pretty simple and should work ok, but should show some artifacting with heavy jello. basically it underexposes and overexposes every other scan line (not sure if it oversamples, averages, and combines from higher than 1080P res or just does so at regular 1080P resolution (most likely) in which case best quality would be found at 720P settings, as this would allow full blending.
What about faux123s new kernel? Interesting that we can't do it on the stock kernel.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
i havent seen anyone find it yet; im interested to compare quality of 720P vs 1080P and see if my theory on transsampled scan lines is correct; its a dirty way to do it, but would work decently. HDR photo mode should work the same but it doesnt; instead any movement translates to blur (eg leaves, bugs, cars, etc).
Are you people stupid or just lazy? How bout going into the camera app hitting mode then scroll to HDR then hit the video button.

That only works for photo mode, which works totally different from video mode. i work in television and film; i took several sample clips in controlled lighting environments; photo mode does not alter video mode, in this update or 4.2.2 original, AOSP/CM, TW UCUAMDB/UCUAMDL or any kernels thus far.
watch who you call lazy and stupid; might come off a bit rude, to say the least.
Well according to this HDR video is included and there is only 1 HDR setting in the camera so unless there is another setting buried within the camera... That's it

[CAMERA] Slow Motion [Q]

I managed to get some hands experience on the note 3 at work the other day but I forgot to check if slow motion play back was available. Has anyone heard of this is a feature? Or will an app or rom have to enable it?
Ps. The 2k stream via HDMI was really smooth as crystal.

This also interests me. Having 120 fps at 720p means good opportunity for slow motion videos - like on the iPhone 5s.
Is there a good video editor app in Play store that can make multi parts slow motions?

If it does, I hope it's got a better resolution than what my Note 2 has for slow mo, great featur but, looks crap on the big screen IMO.

Yeah. It's 720p at 120 fps.
I with the Note 3 could do 250 FPS at 720p. Since the Note 2 does 250fps at some low res. I guess we'll need more hp.
Thanks for the input, I'm just confused to why this wasn't mentioned or any camera features from the outset tbh. I guess the pessimist in me reckons there won't be any slow motion by default.
I would love to be proved wrong however.

A video recorded at 120 fps that's played back at 30 fps is in slow motion.

The same problem
Heres a question.
Can you toggle 720 video in 120fps to be on all the time by default?
Heres my reasoning for this.
Something is going on, its ALWAYS good to be able to go back later on and play it back in slow-motion.
an accident about to happen, someone about to step on a Bananna peel, etc..
if you need to access the video camera very quickly, it would stink to have to navigate to turn on 120fps
and miss that important shot.
How do you enable the 120 fps feature?

- Load up the camera
- Cog icon top left will expand the list of options
- Icon of a videocamera (3rd from right)
- Slow motion
- Another videocamera icon appears with something like 1/4, 1/8 in the corner
- Tap and choose what you want, i prefer 1/4 as it records at 120fps and plays back at 30. The 1/8 still records at 120 but plays back at 15 i think
Thanks
