Problem after updating to newest CM 10 4.1.2 - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As the title suggests , today I updated to the 18.09.2013 version of CM 10 4.1.2 but I got a really big problem , I can't recieve any text messages on the phone. The calls are ok but the text messages are "ghosts" ... I am using it in Romania with the COSMOTE provider ...
P.S. Settings - Advanced - Baseband selection = Europe , Central Europe , 3.4.x
Problem solved !!! Settings - More ... - Mobile Networks - Network operators and then select provider , after that restart terminal and problem solved !

so i just unboxed my x2 .. problems

hay guys
so i just got an x2 as a gift , its not branded with anything , so i though that i dont have to flash it or whatever
the problem is that it cant receive anything from my mobile provider it keep telling me " no network response " ( it actually detect my provider wich is Nedjma and i can see the network coverage nearly at full bars ) and stuff like that , i have two number ( 2 sim ) from different mobile provider and both dosnt work , same error message
i dont know much stuff about phones but am decent at computing , so i tried everything from update to tweak on the phone , nothing worked , am getting desperate cause this phone is really beautiful compared to my old 3310 .. , i just want it to make ... well just calls
if anyone has any idea ... thanks in advance
well ... have you tried to enter service menu to know your phone is locked or not ...
on the main screen press R R L R R L R L
where R stands for hang up key
and L for answer key
thanks for the reply fire-warrior
gone to the service menu then on the main menu to SIM LOCK , her's what it say :
Network : unlocked
Network subset : unlocked
Service provider : unlocked
Corporate : unlocked
Pin 1 lock : unlocked
Pin 2 lock : LOCKED
Phone locked to SIM : unlocked
Phone locked to 1st SIM : unlocked
Locked state : Ready
***************************
now everything seems ok on this menu , but not sure as i said am not pro with phone stuff , i hope the phone is not broken hardware-wise
look sainthonie ... my device has unlock on all of these ... so i guess this is the problem ... so if your phone is in warranty check it at service center
if not i advice you to install another rom using this thread "you don't have to change your language ... just change and install update"
ok am going with 2nd solution , but wich rom do i have to install ? and where can i find one ? sorry for the noobish question ..
just click here and follow instructions ... and each one of those refers to separate language or country

[Q] Uncatagorize Problem of Huawei U8800pro

I have a problem with my phone... it will have to explain
1. Call Hanged while receive the call ( if not answer within 10 second), but actually the call is being answered and nothing can be hear on other part (who called me)
2. Phone restart after 15/20/25 min if data connection is on.
Note: all that above problem is notices while i use Telenor (Grameenphone/ Telenor) SIM. While I use other operator like Airtel there will no such problem or any kind problem.
Method i tried already :
1. change my old SIM and replace on Telenor(grameenphone) customer care office. ( no solution)
2. Talk with Telenor customer care about this problem. ( no solution)
3. Flash and Update my rom 2.2.4 to 4.0.4 official ( same)
4. Flash and update my rom to CM10 4.1.2 ( Unofficial) & MiUi V5 (same)
5. Reset several times with every rom from beginning ( same)
What i get : only one choice remaining that use Airtel and other two operator like Banglalink/Robi/Teletalk except Telenor(GrameenPhone) and live peacefully.
Anyone can help me about these ? What i can do now ?

Your operator do not recognize the phone with some roms and is unable to install mobile network settings. You have to "insert" them manually. Search in Google for the APN settings for your operator . Create new APN and insert the settings. Full path is Settings - Connections tab - More Networks - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names - press "+" and add the new APN. Some operators have automated procedure to obtain the settings - sending special sms or with specific operator app.
Personally I think it's a matter of incompatible bootloader / radio/LTE modem. Update to a proper radio/LTE modem and all will work fine again.
Do note there are different version for old/new bootloaders.
I suggest first to see if there's appropriate APN in phone's APN list (WAP APN is not suitable) and after that to try to fix with modems, kernels e.t.c. I have that issue many times with many phones, so try what I wrote above.

[Q]i9505 doesn't work on one particular operator. no callings but has internet

here is my situation.
i am in Spain , there are 4 major operators Movistar, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo, with its own network , and dozens virtual operators.
recently i changed my operator to Yoigo , this operator has its own network and national roaming on Movistar.
my problem is , if my phone is under Yoigo network (both 4G and 3G) , i can NOT dial or receive any callings but i DO have data connection , all way up to maxim speed . if I manually locked it into Movistar network , it can dial/receive callings. Yoigo has its own 4G network , if i lock into Movistar, it's only up to H+ . this is problem ...
so i communicated with Yoigo , they say my line is fine , suggest me get a new sim card, i did , doesn't work either.
then I put my SIM into an i9515, it works on that phone and some other phone. I tried another Yoigo SIM on my phone , that SIM got same situation as mine.
I also tried other 6 operators SIM, they are all working fine on my phone , so i think my phone is hardware'ly fine.
I flashed official TW 5.0 with Bootloader and Lollipop baseband , no good.
i flashed older TW 4.4 with baseband , no good.
i restored IMEI that backup'ed when i bought phone , no good.
also , if i try to set something like voice mail , divert callings in "Phone" , it reports "SIM card or Network error"
symptom: if i dial out, 4G falls back to 3G, and then the dialing pad just closed on its own.
if someone calls , he gets information like "this number is not available "
any idea will be much appreciated :fingers-crossed:

Have you flashed a ROM specifically for Spain? Flashing different regional firmwares could be the cause of this issue. Also try going to settings > connections > more > mobile networks > network operators > set default setup to manual setup and make sure that it is registering the network properly.

I figured it out, it was IMEI blocked by operator
