[Q] How to cancel an unofficial sim unlock - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, I sim unlocked my device one month ago by using an xda tutorial. It was effective, but sometimes (1 or 2 times por day) device tell me that my sim card is not a valid one, and that I need to put a valid sim card into the device to does it work again. I need to turn of my mobile, wait, and turn on to use phones applications again.
Nowday I can do an official sim unlock by Orange (operator). I just need to get back to the first step, when device aked me to enter a pass code to sim unlock the device.
Maybe you get a solution?
I try to find it since a couple of days, but nothing help me. Maybe I'm to stupid to find a solution or to find a similar topic on xda/Google alone..
Please guys I need your knowledge.
Thanks!

Unlock my xda and the SIM card

Hi this is my first post on this forum and I have an xda which I would like to unlock so that I can sell it as I am getting an xdaII in the morning - so my question is do I take the SIM card out before I run the unlocking programme - and if I leave it in does unlocking alter the SIM card - I want to use the SIM card in the new xda as I don't intend to leave my provider but just want to unlock the old xda to make it more sellable. thanks for your help. maureen
How are you intending to unlock it, serial cable with manipulator, xdaunlock on xda or rom flash method? You may find the first 2 wont work. It is probably better that the sim is removed but it is unaffected by xda lock/unlock.

[Q] Unlocking a hd2 and then installing android. will this remove the sim unlock?

Hi I want to sim unlock my hd2, and then install Nandroid operating system onto it. Will this effect the sim unlock? , was talking to a man in a shop and he said it might. Its one I have for sale and someone wants this doing to it, Its locked to T mobile uk at the moment.
p.s did do a quick search but am at work so shouldnt be on her
Thanks
Short answer is NO.
If you want to sim unlock your device you need to contact your provider.
Go to a store where they can unlock it for you or buy a code on the internet.
Good Luck
thanks for the reply, but what i meant was if i have it unlocked, then install nandroid will this remove the sim unlock?
No, i can guarantee you it wont. I got mine unlocked and had no problem switching SIM cards in WP7, Android or WM 6.5 . Cheers.
quick question to anyone that can answer this....
can you sim unlock while android is installed..i called tmobile requested the code but dkno if i can unlock with android running
I'm not 100% guaranteed, but i think that even runing android you can unlock your phone
I'd assume that you would be able to once Android recognizes your IMEI so yeah it should work.

Hi, and if i will re-flash a WM ROM???
the unlock will be?
Let's say this once, for the benefit of anyone else who reads this thread:
SIM UNLOCKING YOUR HD2 IS UNAFFECTED BY ROM CHANGES.
Once you SIM unlock the device, regardless of operating system currently installed, it will stay SIM unlocked even through ROM changes, including WP7/Android/WM6.5/etc/etc.

help plz
Useless thread,
Nexus S I9023 isn't simlocked (like all Nexus phones).
Just select automatic network and reboot.
Or your SIM Card may be outdated for this phone...
Anyway, this thread should be post in Nexus S Q&A section, not in General

[Q] Sim Unlock T Mobile

So I have been searching around here for quite a long time and the only solutions that I found is either to ask one from T mobile or to buy an unlock code.
My question is, is there a rom or something that I could flash so that my hd2 would be sim unlocked?
Or is there a way to sim unlock this for free besides asking the code from T mobile?
Many thanks to those who would answer
edit:
or maybe someone who is a T mobile user could request a sim unlock code for me. It would be greatly appreciated

I am not a T-Mobile user, and I guess you are not too. Your best bet and easiest is probably buying an unlock code. You could search some of the threads and see which online services are the best. No ROM can unlock the SIM on your phone.

Yep, two options, no more.
If you can find a download for a LEODIAG.zip file you can SIM unlock it with that. You run the file just like you would if you were going to flash a ROM via SD card. Just follow the on screen instructions select yes to everything and when the process is done either do a battery pull or press the reset button to boot the device back into the RoM. Now I am not sure if you absolutely have to have a Windows Mobile ROM on the device when you do this but I suggest you flash Windows Mobile ROM before you run the LEODIAG. zip just to be safe.

can this be done while running windows mobile and not having magdlr/cwm?
edit:
so I found a LEODIAG.zip and I saw on the thread that it doesn't really sim unlock your phone.
have you already unlocked a phone using this way? if yes, please do tell the specific steps
I've played with leodiag and I'm pretty sure it can't unlock it. (Otherwise I'm sure we'd all know about it,, ,we've had Leodiag a long time)
I've attached it,,its not really a zip, I just added .zip for the file upload filter.

After reading your post Sam I think you are correct I confused myself yesterday cause I was thinking about me using a DIAG file to unlock my Sensation. But there is another option to SIM unlock the HD2, you can use the XTC Clip to SIM unlock it and it does use a LEODIAG.nbh file bit it is not all it uses. With all the numerous videos on YouTube I can not believe it is not a better video on using the XTC Clip with the HD2, in fact I can only find the same two videos I found the first time I looked on YouTube several months ago. The below is the best of the two.
not unlock but is a good solution for me...
I buy a Simple Mobile sim card from ebay .99 cents and i just make a number portability by myself . Well done.. i have my same phone number but with simple mobile in tmobile phone. Actually simple moblie work on all tmobile phones.

If anybody has experience, can someone guide me to a good site which does unlocking for the TMobile Prism and how much they charge.

[Q] Official Unlock proceedure

Hi all just bought a new Z1 on Virgin/T mobile and asked Virgin for the unlock code which they charge £15:32p for.
My question is they told me it would be sent in the post and I take it is some type of code they send me but how or what is the sequence to enter the code to make my Z1 unlocked to all networks.

All you need to do is insert a working SIM card from another provider, power up the device and follow the instructions. Really easy.

Many thanks for the quick reply and can't understand why they have to send the code via post rather than just telling me over the telephone after my payment was cleared and must only be for security reasons.
Be careful when you enter the code, you only have 3 chances to enter the correct code before the phone becomes permanently locked.
