When i watch a movie on my S4, the only sound comes from behind... When i place my plone on the table, the sounds get blurry. Is there a possibility to get the sound trough the front speaker as well?
The speaker at the back is for media the one on the front for phone calls. You'll have to wedge something under the phone if the sounds is muffled by placing it flat on the table.

Is it me , or does the speaker on this phone suck really bad? music is not to bad, but any time i call any where and am put on hold, the speaker rattles and sounds blurry? even when I turn the volume down to near zero it sounds like its blurring still.
This is when I am in speak mode, not up to ear mode.
Any one else notice this? or have this problem? or is it just a defect on mine?
Thank you

The speaker phone works great for me. It could be a bad speaker. Some post have showed people needing a new phone cus the speaker sounded blown out?!
Can we use the earpiece speaker for all sounds?
I wish there were a front facing speaker, it just doesn't make sense when ur playing a game or playing music if something you think the sound would come at you not go the other way, right? Think of A stereo in your room, car, or even a concert ....
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
anyone have any idea? Is it even possible? It seems as thought it would be -just redirect the sound output to either the earpiece or both the earpiece and back speaker..
This is an awesome idea. I am not sure if this is just the case design or what not, but look at the earpiece and it seems to have three little cutouts with screens for speakers. I am guessing there is just one speaker behind there though.
Hello , I Have 2 HD2s and I use one as a phone and one as a media/gaming device. Is there any way to make the back speaker louder, with some sort of amplifier....also is there anyway to make the front speaker a loud speaker as well...

Hello,
I was wondering if it would be possible to make the phone play ringtones from the front speaker as well as the rear speaker. This could help hearing the phone ringing if the phone is on a flat surface face up.
I dont know how loud the front speaker is though, but I believe it could help even if it isn't very loud, since laying on its back the rear speaker is nearly silent. This does not only apply to the ringtones, of course, but could be valuable when playing videos as well.
Does anyone know of a solution to this?
Best regards,
rodstrom
Yeah, use the pyxis ringtone and crank up the volume. It blows out my ears every time it goes off, regardless of the surface it's on.
As you all know, because of the phone being flat and lying on a flat surface, the speaker is completely covered and any sound from it struggles to come out.
I've noticed the earpiece can be very loud (on phone calls), so why not use it as an additional ringer for notifications and call ringtones?
Is there any way to do that?
