Can we use the earpiece speaker for all sounds?
I wish there were a front facing speaker, it just doesn't make sense when ur playing a game or playing music if something you think the sound would come at you not go the other way, right? Think of A stereo in your room, car, or even a concert ....

anyone have any idea? Is it even possible? It seems as thought it would be -just redirect the sound output to either the earpiece or both the earpiece and back speaker..
This is an awesome idea. I am not sure if this is just the case design or what not, but look at the earpiece and it seems to have three little cutouts with screens for speakers. I am guessing there is just one speaker behind there though.

i've been noticing for the last two weeks that my 8125 has really distorted sound and i realized its coming from the right speaker only. it sounds loud and tiny from that side like i blew out a speaker. can u even do that on these phones? what do u guys think i should do about it.
i love using it to listen to mp3s and watch videos on it with the speakers. even speaker phone sounds horrible
I also have that same problem. Altough for me its not an actual problem, since i rarely use speakerphone, or listens to music through internal speakers.
Whats really a problrm though, is when my phone rings. It sounds like an drunk owl
Hello,
When I'm in a call and put the phone on speaker, the HD uses the back speaker.
I was wondering if there was a solution to use the front speaker instead.
To me that would make more sense because the mic is also more to the front.
Sorry if there's already a solution for this, I've searched the forums, but couldn't find anything about this.
All I could find were things about the quality of the speaker
H.
Anyone????
meneer van leeuwen.
I think the HD has only 1 loud speaker at the back and that the speaker at the front can't produce enough dB's
Maybe you have orginal plastic on phone??
Ok that's a good reason
There's no plastic left on the phone, maybe it got stuck in my ears or something
I know about the audio booster, but that's just for music (isn't it?). Does anyone else find that ring and message tones sound very shrill and tinny on the HD2? I found an app (Advanced Configuration Tool), which had some sound settings, but didn't seem to do a lot, so I was wondering if there's an app, or a cab somewhere that would 'tone down' the sound, and make it a little 'warmer', if you get what I mean?
Unfortunatly due to it being a tiny mono speaker thats as good as its going to get.
don't expect too much from phone speakers! Just look at the stupid kids walking throught the streets with their cellphones playing their **** music that sounds like crap coming from the tiny speaker. Totally annoying!!
Audio Booster just works when you have connected headphones/speakers via the 3.5mm jack or paired with a bluetooth speaker (I think). Otherwise just turn down the volume a little so it doesn't sound that thin and bad. I always use 2/3 of the max volume and my ringtone mp3s sound ok.
The HD2 mono speaker doesn't come close in terms of sound quality to the Rhodium. It's unfortunate, but I guess HTC couldn't cram another speaker into the HD2. It is pretty darn thin.
Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with it, then. Thanks for the replies.
Anyone else having issues with the earpiece volume being really low? I used to have an HTC Eris and that was loud and could hear anyone even with the phone sitting next to me on high but this phone i have to push the phone basically into my ear to hear some people.
I was wondering if there is any program that will work with an unrooted Xperia (since I have the R800x) ... I have tried countless things on the market but none of it helps.
Stereo speakers on the side of the phone are loud as hell, it is just the earpiece.

The earphones are pretty ****. When I switch it to my senheissers it seems to be fine.
I am still having this issue.. the phones earpeice speaker is like 25% the volume of the speaker phone speakers. in a silent room I have trouble hearing people. I have no other option but use a blue tooth headset which ends up being 50% louder then the speaker phone speakers.
Anyone found a way to boost the headset speaker yet?
When i watch a movie on my S4, the only sound comes from behind... When i place my plone on the table, the sounds get blurry. Is there a possibility to get the sound trough the front speaker as well?
The speaker at the back is for media the one on the front for phone calls. You'll have to wedge something under the phone if the sounds is muffled by placing it flat on the table.

Will be not that powerfull, but if you make a phonecall and you turn on the speaker, the sound comes out of the speaker on the front i heared...
So not THAT loud, but because it is in front it doesnt need to be i presume.
