[Q] Verizon LG G2 call quality? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else on Verizon (or any other G2 variant) having call quality issues? Phone was fine until today and then my voice calls started to 'digitize' randomly, almost like there is a short in the speaker. Hopefully its just some weird network thing and not my phone.

My quality of audio during calls is not good at all. But then, I only get 1-2 bars at home where I've used it so far. Ordered a VZN Network Extender, hope that helps.
(Having to pay $250 and use my own ISP to get decent connections is a whole other topic!)

Umm, you could have gotten one for $50 on ebay... I got one last year.

Nope... Scouted Craigslist and eBay for a week. Not a one to be had on Craigslist, and no "Buy It Now" offers on eBay. All the eBay prices were above $150 for used ones, and bidding higher and higher.
I hadda have one NOW, as my wife works out of our home office and all IT matters fall on me to fix.
(And please don't go and post a link to a "good deal" now, my Verizon order will be here tomorrow and you'll just make me feel miserable... thanks!)

There is a bug that produces that screech/digital sound every so often I think. There was a thread discussing it but I can't find it now.

I got that same crackle/screech today on a few calls. One was in a voicemail I received, where I assume that would be a clear message. I turned the volume down, and that seemed to help a little, but it was too sporadic to tell. This was when I wasn't on speakerphone. Don't know if it would occur on speakerphone too. But music turned all the way up seems to be fine, so I'm thinking it was the VZ network. However, I had 4 to 5 bars during my calls. I have another week on my trial period, if it continues, I may exchange for another one.
Regards,
Mike

Many of us are experiencing this and talking about it on androidcentral. Thread "Poor call quality verizon g2". This site won't let me post the link. That's one of the threads.
I'm waiting on verizon network engineers to analyze my calls and get back to me. I love the phone but will return it assuming they say nothing is wrong with the network. My backup is Moto X but then some have mic problems and I had to return one over that too.

im having like a digitized sound quality too, like when they air those test messages over the TV it sounds sort of like that, thing is im on TMOBILE!!
anyone think its an issue with this phone itself? im about to run down to tmobile and try switching it or testing another one.

I have great quality on mine, but it does depend on where you are located and your signal. Poor signal kill battery and gets that digital sound. All phones are susceptible to that, not saying that lemons aren't out there, but in general if you have 3+ bars it should be fine. Less than that and it still should be fine, but could periodically digitize.

I posted a thing about this very issue as well along with others. Mine does it too but only on WiFi calling. It sucks if you ask me. I think I may return this phone.

Didn't mean to thank you. Lol. But you and six other don't add up to many. But sad that you guys are having such issues. Sounds like a bad batch because all reviews reported good-excellent call quality. And there doesn't seem to be a uproar going on just a few seems less than a 100 so far who are having such issues.

Also are you in an area where you have 3g at least? Using other carriers towers can do that. Turn off all roaming and if you cannot get bars it's not VZNs fault. If you do then VZN needs to update the towers. Some mom and pop cdma carriers lend their towers for a small fee which is how vzn got its coverage.

Bad outgoing voice / good incoming voice
My problem is that others complain that they can't hear me on either the phone microphone or a handsfree boom mic. I had no problems with my rezound.
The sound coming from the speaker is fine---no digitization---and sounds great. Anyone else receive complaints from the person they are speaking too?

I have snap, crackle, and pop issue from time to time as well. I have had it both while on wifi and on 4G, but not on every call....

Voice Enhancement Fix
There is a voice enhancement option during calls if you press the menu button. I think it uses the top mic to do noise cancellation in noisy environments. Has anyone tired to fix the problem using this?

My Sprint LG G2 has been experiencing the clipping/chirping sounds since I got the phone. At first I thought it was my home phone since we use VoIP. But the problems started happening on all callers the more I used the phone.
My Voice Enhancement was actually unchecked. For the heck of it, I checked it and will see if that changes anything, but most people say it gets slightly better unchecked.

Just bought my wife this phone on sprint and she had this problem and her replacement has the same issue.
My note 3 had this same exact issue on 4 different replacement phones. Samsung issued a update 2 weeks after release to fix the garbled snap crackly calls. I don't think I have much faith in LG to issue a fix. Their track record sucks

Voice quality issue - Moto swapped "engineer" tested unit with me

After posting on the Moto support forum over a month ago about how I'd been through 5 Atrix and all of them suffered from terrible voice call quality, I received a PM from the forum manager. That was a couple weeks ago. Moto actually arranged to give me a "tested unit" that was supposedly inspected by an audio engineer. It was without a box, battery, or cover. To me, this could just mean a refurb'd Atrix.
The weird thing, however, was that they requested my location and phone #, and after about a week I got a call from Moto guy who wanted to meet up to swap units. I met this dude in a ****ing shopping mall Starbucks, and we chatted for a few. His business card says something like "Motorola Service Trainer" or something along those lines. Wouldn't you figure they'd just mail me the new one rather than waste their employees' time? Bizarre.
TO THE POINT, the new unit is free of the muffled/garbled/****-ass voice call quality. My voice to other callers sounds 100 times more crisp and clear.
I wonder how many others got this same treatment from Moto? I know there are quite a few pissed off people out there with crappy voice quality.
I would walk with caution. Probably for no reason. However at my line of work we would ship you a tested unit and have you call us with a support ticket number. Maybe on a direct line with original tech who processed your original claim if the complaint was" sizable"

Oh I don't question the legitimacy of the exchange. The entire process was initiated by the Motorola Support Forum Manager... I just thought it was unusual.
Just for fun, I checked the warranty of the new unit and it's good until 6/2/2012.

I do find that they actually met up at a location is weird. Maybe they are stepping up customer support when a consistently recurring problem hits their door. Maybe this is how bootloaders are unlocked?

it's one of the most viewed/commented topics on the Moto Support forum:
https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/45510?tstart=0
I literally had 5 different handsets plagued by crappy voice quality. I was constantly asked to repeat myself because the other party could not understand me. This new handset sounds much, much better, and it's no placebo effect.
I'm happy to see Moto take a hands-on approach and fix this for me.. As for the other hundred people or so who complained on the forumm... like the kitty guy from Portugal (by the way, that **** cracked me up hard).. I don't blame him, though. Voice quality on my old sets were ****.
Their service center was crazy fast. 2 days and they sent it back via purolator.
That sounds like they went above and beyond for you. That is definitely good news!

OP, I am glad you got your voice quality issues corrected. I had voice quality issues on my previous to Atrix. Finally, after getting the third Atrix from a different Costco, the problem was gone. I made some recordings of the voice proble. I might post them later so everyone can know what we're talking about. Also, I had a bad led flash problem, where the LED (left one) would not stay on for longer than 20 secs. That's gone as well on this third unit. Now, if only all this other crap was gone as well.... lol
I bought mine from ATT less than one month ago and I am also having call quality issues and also one of the LEDs flicker or don't come on, do I just take it back to ATT and they will replace it or what do I have to do

Yes, take it back to ATT. I believe its still within your return period to just exchange for a new one. If not, I think they may send it to Moto for repair. Tell them the voice call issue and the LED problem are well documented problems by Motorola and that you want a brand new device.
For the LED flashing problem, don't mention any flashlight apps. That's how I discovered my flashing problem, but once I mentioned that I was having problems with a flashlight app, the CS rep at the ATT store immediately said" OH. Sorry. We can't give support to third party apps." So instead of the flashlight app, pull up your camcorder app and turn the light on.
Hope you get your phone issues resolved!
I got my 3rd exchange yesterday. And I still have the garbled voice problem. Im definitely contacting moto. Thanks for the heads up.

For AT&T, what's the best smartphone for call signal quality?

Hi,
I live in New England and I currently have the Focus with AT&T. The signal here with the focus is bad, constantly losing calls, signal fluctuates from 4 bars 3G switches to edge and then loses signal totally. During this the call quality gets progressively worse. They can't seem to fix the problem so they said they would get me a new phone. They did recently have me change out the Sim as well as a multitude of other things that haven't worked.
I was just wondering what is the best smartphone they currently carry that has good signal quality? I do need a smartphone but one that doesn't lose calls all the time. I'm not far from a tower here and other phones I have had work fine here but the Focus just isn't working out. I do like the focus for the most part and wouldn't mind another Window 7 phone as long as the signal isn't a problem. If I have to go to Android that's fine too, although that would be my last choice.
Thanks for any help.

I think you should consider that in your area the signal might just be bad, for your carrier. Unless you have other reasons to think different.
In any case, you are likely to hear subjective opinions on this matter.
One important thing to understand from the beginning is reception vs call quality.
While good reception should insure good call quality, that isn't necessarily the case. As it also depends on the hardware of the phone (bad or low quality ear piece). However, a good call quality depends on the signal quality/strength.
What I can tell from my experience, is that phones with stronger antennas have better reception but not necessarily good call quality. I found out that for me, the best sound quality was in Sony Ericsson phones. However, that was back in Symbian era.
Stronger antenna usually means bigger SAR (radiation).
I can most certainly say the Focus doesn't excel in call quality and I've heard far better. It is reasonably ok.

Other friends have come over here with ATT as their provider and they have good signal and don't lose calls. I was just out yesterday in known good 3g areas in my town and lost 2 calls out of 3.
I'm gong to have to get a new phone. I talked with ATT yesterday and they made me do a hard reset on the phone. I told him I've already done that before but I did it again. They are calling back Friday to see how things are going and if nothing has changed he said they will give me a new phone. I did tell him I don't want another Focus as this is my 6th one. Pain in the backside.
I just hope they give me a choice and don't try to pass off a 2 year old phone on me. Hopefully the damn thing has good call quality.
If you can hold out until September you should. The new phones with Mango will be coming out and maybe one of them will be better for you.
Have you tried a Microcell? Maybe one of them in your home would make the phone much more tolerable. That's what I did but only because AT&T gifted it to me.

I'm talking to AT&T about a microcell. Their own tech department suggested it. I still lose calls outside of my house but at least I could do business here. At first the customer service person said I could get a free one because of all my issues but he just informed me I'd have to pay for it. I told him no, that after 6 months of terrible service and constant lost calls that they should provide it for free. I told them either a new phone other than the Focus, let me out of my contract or a microcell. I'm waiting on the supervisor to call me back.
Damn, 6 months of crappy service. I've been using my home phone and my daughter's Tracfone to do business. $110 a month it costs me and I can't use this thing, what a rip. This is my 6th damn Focus too. I have a feeling I'll be switching to Verizon soon.
For signal quality what would you guys choose? The Infuse, the Atrix, or the HTC HD7S? I'd rather stay with windows 7 but I've heard the signal quality isn't that great with the hd7s? Anyone have an opinion?

Btw, you should ask again all this in the Windows Phone 7 Q&A forum, not in the Focus thread, as this is a WP7 general question.
I don't have first-hand experience with a lot of AT&T's line-up, but I do find that my Dell Streak will catch much better signal in places (in particular, my office) than my Focus, as basically the entire back of that beast is a giant metal antenna plate. Now if only the Streak would run WP7...
Hi Fiberop did you sort out a good phone for the signal? I too am in the uk having similar issues using vodafone and o2, tried htc legend, htc desire HD, htc desire s, and getting cut off during a call and the singal is always up and down, So you are not on your own. I still love HTC phones but i wish they would sort the signal and battery issues.
I have an old XDA lls and this never had these problems. All the HTC phones were on the highest operating systems they could be at the time. Tried the gsm only settings but still gets signal up and down. You can help by how you hold the phone, e.g on the legend dont hold the rubber base cover.
I do have 2 friends, one on 3 with a desire S and one on the HTC sensation on orange and no signal issues apart from bad batterys they are ok with these phones.
You can always get a microcell. I went that route and now all my phones work great in and around the house. With a microcell you can use the phone you want instead of having to forego phones with lots of functionality and lousy reception, which is every smartphone I've ever owned.
I ended up getting a microcell. They did try to give me a Surround but I declined that. I mentioned a couple other phones but they suggested a micro cell. I do make a lot of calls from home so it made sense. It was free because of all my problems so that worked out well. They charge $200 for the damn thing. It works great though and it's the first time I have ever seen 5 bars on this phone. What a relief not to keep losing business calls.
By the way, the Presidents office is where you want to call if you have issues that tech support or customer care can't or won't fix. I found that number on the internet and they can actually authorize things like a free microcell where customer care won't even discuss it. Nice people there too.

Hey I have a question for you as I was in EXACTLY the same boat as you. I'm even in New England (Vermont, where are you?).
Anyhow, Samsung Focus here as well. About a month ago the cell signal degraded in my local area to the point I could only make and receive calls at home if I stood out on the front porch. There was no explanation given from AT&T and I spent a frustrating month going back and forth with tech support trying to get their field techs to find out WTF happened.
Long story short, they eventually credited me the full cost of a microcell AND my last months bill.
So, got the microcell, installed all fine and dandy. HERE'S MY QUESTION....have you noticed any change in your battery life? If my phone is connected to the microcell the battery drains REALLY fast. I can take it off charge at 7am, not touch the phone at all and by 4pm I'm way below half. If I do the same thing when the microcell is not on, I can get over 24 hours off a single charge.
Something causes the battery to drain extra fast when the Focus is connected to the MicroCell. Have you noticed this at all?

The explanation is pretty simple: the weaker the signal from the nearest Network Cell, the greater the power on the phone's antenna has to be. The battery life is tied into this because the phone has to put extra juice to insure a good quality of the signal.
It won't matter what phone you're on, it will drain faster than if you would have a better signal.
I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm saying that when I'm connected to the MicroCell, i.e. Where there is a very strong signal, my battery drains faster than when I'm NOT connected to the MicroCell at the same location and am down to maybe one bar. The MicroCell causes my battery to drain faster which is the inverse of what should be happening right?

I'm in west central NH. I haven't noticed that much of a difference with the micro cell and the battery. I'm not using it as much as I was so maybe that has something to do with it. I do only charge it late at night and that remains the same. I don't recall anyone else that has received a micro cell talk about this. Maybe you should do a google.
Have a good one and good luck with those washed out roads over there.

Call quality?

Has anyone noticed any distortion or clipping per say during a phone call on the earpeice? I've seen people mention the speakerphone not being so great but not earpeice. Wondering if I have a defective unit or if that's just the way it is. Thanks.

I came from the galaxy nexus and the earpiece is much better on the Note 3. It's louder and clearer. You might have a defective one. People's opinion will differ depending on what device they came from.
I was on the phone with a Verizon rep and they kept saying it was a lot of static on their end. I couldn't hear the static at all.

I notice it on mine. Tried to exchange at a store but the manager said she couldn't hear the fuzz so I couldn't exchange only return pay the $35 restocking fee and buy a new one. And since I used Verizon30 code which is for online ordering only I'd loose that. Going to call Verizon and try and go up the latter. Hopefully they will ship me a new one and I can send the old one back.

They better get it fixed fast or this phone is gone and LG g2 is in.

I have excellent call quality actually. Have you tried playing with the custom sound buttons while you're on a call?
I am getting the same thing..Great signal just the digital garble on voice calls....I hope they come out with a software fix!
I am now on my second phone and still getting this garbled skipping call quality...anybody have any tips?
Has Verizon had any network problems in your area? Bad SIM maybe?

My tip is to wait for an OTA or some other update. It's happening to lots of people. Even with the sprint version of the phone. I hope they fix it sooner than later. It's very annoying to me but the phone is so nice I will live with it.
Does it occur if you call *611 customer service? I primarily use VOIP (Groove IP plus Google Voice) so it sounds the same if not a little better and *611 is normal too.

I'm on my second phone and the call quality is worse than my first. (however the home button doesn't move as much). I am getting the high pitched squeals, static, and garbling, with each syllable the caller makes. It is beyond frustrating. I went to BB to exchange my phone Today and they did not give me the new SIM card, they just swapped out the sim cards. Do you think this could be an issue?
I originally thought the issue was with the bluetooth in my car, then I heard it while using the spearkerphone, and then I heard it using the built in ear piece.
I'm also concerned with the way they did the exchange. They didn't give me a new receipt with a new date, so instead of a new 14 days, I have only 7 more days. I'll keep going back until it is right.
Is insurance on these phones worth it, if you just get a refurbished one? What if they realize this is a hardware issue 3 months down the line? Are we stuck?
My Mother also got her phone from the same store today and hasn't had any issues. I suspect she won't because I noticed the call quality on the first phone call with both phones.

[Q] LS980 sprint call qualtiy tricky at times.

I picked up my G2 a few days ago at Best Buy and I didn't have any problems with it until I started to notice on calls at times the audio coming in would get distorted for a second and go back to normal even though I have fairly good signal. I'm asking if i should take it back and get a new one or if this is something known about or maybe a software issue.

I have also been wondering the same thing.
It has been spotty for me. People cant hear me, I cant hear them etc.
I think I might get it exchanged for a new 1. Im still within my return period. If it happens again I will go to the N5 or something. I really like this phone tho..

I am on my 2nd one and still having same issue. So a return might not help you. I have spent a lot of time on phone with sprint. They reset my network, hard and soft resets, and their answer is network issues. I get a popping and slight occaisional static on my end of call, other end hears me fine.. I have a 3rd seperate one besides my returned two and that one is fine. What I have noticed is if I roam, my calls are crystal clear, unfortunately I can't force a constant roam. I love the phone so I am gonna stick with it. Possibly the processor and sprint not behaving nicely? I am in the New York area, where are you guys?

I'm in the NC, Raleigh area a little out in the woods but I still get good coverage and popping would be exactly how I would describe the problem. I'm hopping I can fix it I'm really loving this phone.

Try and see, if possible, when roaming, make a call and see if it clears up. That's the only time I have the same quality call as my HTC one.

I am not an expert, but do read the forums a lot and a bunch of Verizon users had same issue and now sprint customers are starting with same problem. Both CDMA, so possibly, yes, software related.
All of you, Please call Sprint & make them aware so they can fix this. I already let them know as this is my 2nd one & it exhibits the same problems.
I travel between Dorchester and Malden MA most often and I get the same issue. I tried all sorts of things. I did a chat with tech support and a phone call. They setup an appt for me in a corporate store and the tech just dismissed and imediately said it's a network issue with ALL of the newer Sprint phones. He mentioned the S3, S4 and of course the G2 (how convenient) as well as the Note 3. Mind you my daughter just got an S3 a month ago and her phone is fine. The tech just kind of left it at that but suggested he try a network reset with no guarantees of course. He also suggested I try roaming of a GSM carrier (he said we aren't charged for roaming). He also said if it does it when roaming then I should bring it back (I assume then he would actually do real troubleshooting. So I left the store and was in the area for about an hour and things got progressively worse. I ended up going back and the manager switched it out right away. So far the new one sounds pretty good. Time will tell.

This was a problem with the note 3 when released on sprint as well "Problem:
*
Voice quality on a connected call is garbled, with intermittent popping, morphing, cracking." I found that a few minutes ago. Same exact issues, both phones have same processor, sprint sent out a patch and it resolved issue for those phones. I have called sprint and been to two stores, returned one, got another with same issue. People need to speak up to sprint forum on sprints site, so they realize we are having same issue and hopefully they fix it soon. CSR s in sprint are useless, a manager at a corporate store said to me " I haven't sold a g2 yet, so I can't justify problem you are having " [email protected]#$ng great answer. I wanted to punch her out of her chair. Hopefully we all can be at ease soon.
I went to the corporate store on Boylston St, near Copley. FYI, the tech that paid attention advised me that the tower near the Pru is having problems so don't walk that way and expect to use your phone. Not only will it sound like **** but you'll drop calls too.
So far with the replacement phone, I've only had the issue a couple times

I've called Sprint about the issue to let them know and I've called Geek squad because of my warranty with Best buy and Geek squad just told me to get it replaced and I think that's what I'm going to do, if it's something that can be fixed with a software update this one should act the same right?

I just had mine replaced yesterday because of a dead pixel and it is doing the same thing. So I would assume so.

Buyer's remorse?

Has anyone experienced buyer's remorse since getting G5 plus? If so, any particular reason? I can't make up my mind about whether I should get Sony's Xperia XA1 or Moto G5 Plus. (2GB/32GB).

I'm one of the many Verizon customers affected by the unintelligible calls with enhanced 4G enabled, so yes, this phone sucks. If your on Verizon don't come anywhere near this thing.

What exactly does enhanced 4G do? I'm on Verizon and on a budget, and this phone looks fantastic. Never heard of such a thing.
It's what allows Verizon's HD Voice feature. It's required to use data while on a call. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE IF YOUR ON VERIZON, PERIOD. You will regret it. Read this forum to understand the issue https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-G...izon-very-poor-call-quality/m-p/3668953#M3408.

You should be able to disable it, unless Verizon blocks it, which wouldn't surprise me.
It works awesome in Sprint! No regrets. A great update from my S6 for sure!

If I disable it then I have no data while on a call. I'm then back to what cell phones were 10 years ago. Verizon customers are the only ones suffering this issue. The phone is simply not fully comparable with Verizon and Moto won't own up to it and release a bulletin about it.

I am not in love with it but here are some pluses: seems really fast, good processor speed
Almost no bloatware
Battery life is the best I have ever had on any device
Camera seems fine (see minuses)
Its rootable right now
Works well on at&t, but bought for possible switch to Verizon (if voice issues get solved)
Music sounds really good to my ear on tiny front facing speaker
Minuses: camera videos have lots of background noise, update is supposed to fix but Lenovo is slow to update, still on nougat 7.0 with January security patch
Camera has weird super sharpening of photos
Call volume is low
Poor slot for Sim and SD card with separate tool needed to access the slot, really awkward
XT1687 here. On Verizon. Not encountered any problems. Only regret is the over sharpening/over noise reduction of camera images (fixable with root) and no raw (currently not fixable in a tolerable way).
I will say I slightly miss the 5.5" screen of my Moto G4 plus and I wish I had bought black not gold . The fingerprint functions are awesome - you really notice that extra screen real estate.
I've got this phone on verizon, with the exception of the poor voice quality which doesn't bother me too much since I don't really use my phone to make calls. I can't really make any complaints about the phone. It's hard to beat the performance and battery life at the price and it feels pretty solidly built. If you look around this phone in the 4gb variant can be had for under $300 (not including the amazon ad version).
This phone two hardware problem which cannot be resolved through software. So avoid purchasing this phone. First problem noise background in Video recording. Second red color in Video recording. Both are known issue and accepted by Lenovo support team. They have accepted that the 2nd issue cannot be fixed. For the first one also I am expecting the same

I've had this phone for about a week now. I purchased it unlocked and activated the sim card Bestbuy gave me on the verizon site. I've only made two calls with it, both with LTE coverage and the calls sounded fine and were totally audible.
I've yet to feel any buyers remorse. I came from an old galaxy S4 with verizon bloat on it and it feels like a totally new experience. It's a budget phone so I look at it with that perspective and I couldn't be happier with what I got for what I paid.
The only thing I dislike is the camera in comparison to the GS4 is severely limited by software. I've been considering root on this, and after 4 years of rooting with rare updates, I want to try the unrooted life for a bit. If I do root, I'm sure the camera issue will be one of the first on my list of things to tackle.

The noise is a software problem and the video recording thing really isnt as bad as you make it out to be unless you're regularly using the camera to take videos you wont have any problems. Its an easy compromise.

I was aware before I bought the phone and was pleasantly surprised not to have an issue. I bought it about 3 weeks ago from B&H.
I got it on Verizon I havent had a HD voice issue either. Provisioned and turned on on the phone.
Though, I'm not sure I actualy called someone who ALSO has HD voice....which would be the real test. I'll call my dad in the morning.

With the one we got my sister, it doesn't matter whether it's a mobile or land line. The call is absolutely unintelligible on her end. The folks on the other end can hear her fine.

Well I know I'm not having that problem then, I was on the phone today with both a friend on T-Mobile and with my dispatch on landlines.
I did have a moment of unintelligibleness with an inbound call but it was only for about 10 seconds which I attribute to driving through West Virginia.
So update on that issue..I'm having it with VoLTE combined with HD voice.
If I use the Enhanced LTE services (VoLTE) and I connect to someone who is not HD Voice capable (Landlines, or cell phones without the service active for their carrier) I dont have an issue with the garbled incomming audio.
However, the issue surfaces when I contact someone with HD voice over VoLTE. (Verizon to ATT in this case). When I turned off the services and called over normal CDMA (No Data during call), the audio was fine.
The downside is that you cannot turn off the HD voice on the account and still have VoLTE. Its an all or nothing thing. Which is really disappointing.
Also, the Lenovo boards are getting blown up by Verizon users complaining of this issue, along with the past issue of not being able to use 911.
Hopefully whatever update they are sending down the pipe in India for audio quality is going to be the fix when it reaches the US. Time is ticking for my return policy with Best Buy. And my Moto X Pure does NOT have this problem on Verizon, even running AICP. So fingers crossed its fixable.
