Unfortunately, this is not working

Dfp231 cannot give the boot loader error, unless you have eMMC failure

I mean there is a hardware problem if you cannot revive your phone using dfp 231
Log shows a bad error (generic flash command failure). I don't think it can be fixed without motherboard replacement

Failed to boot 4

Hi guys after having upgraded my AT & T Motorola Atrix gingerbread to version 1.83 I get this error: failed to boot 4.
how do I reset the phone? thanks
Flas sbf. Look in development for flashing sbfs. Tons of information. Also wrong section this should be under questions and answers section.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Flash either full 4.1.26 or 4.1.57 sbf, then update OTA to 4.1.83.
And what do you mean Gingerbread?
Unless you flashed to 2.3.4 HKTW you don't have Gingerbread.

commonsense suggests that, that's what he means.
Sent from rooted Atrix on 2.3.4 with unlocked bootloader using xda premium app.

What did you flash, and how? Is your phone unlocked?
I suspect "Failed to boot 4" is when a filesystem is missing a signature. (And "2" is when the signed hash doesn't match the data)
If you are using RSD and a Motorola .sbf, shouldn't be a problem. Please explain in detail what you have done. If you want a quick fix, after flashing 4.1.83 SBF, if you still have this problem, go back and flash The2d's PUDDING (unlocked BL.)
(This fix will only work if you have unlocked your phone.. but the only way you could get this error is if you are trying to use fastboot without first unlocking your phone, or you are manually editing boot/recovery, or making .sbf files yourself...)
Please provide clear, concise details of what you've done.
eval is right, I got both failed to boot 4 and 2 in the past
if you have an att atrix you just need to flash 1.2.6 sbf then the 1.8.3 over it, unclok your bootloader then flashboot will go.
My cell phone is Hong Kong release, flashed Chinese simplified ROM,"掘墓者ME860国行官方ROM_OLYGC_U4_1.21.0.DearTanker"
when the tip is:
SVF:105:1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
can't get the "RSD" and "fast boot"mode.
What can I do?
Same here...got "Failed to boot 4" error...
I had leaked 2.3.4 HKTW installed
I was trying to move back to 2.2...Keep getting errors when flashing to 1.2.6 as well...failing at the step where it says "Switching the device to BP mode"....Please help....
Hi,
I got that error when I had an sbf flashed and then I flashed a system.img from another firmware. Such a mismatch would also occur if an sbf was interrupted.
Cheers!

You cannot boot into RSD by holding volume-up on start?
We are lucky, when our phones fail signature/hash check, we are dropped directly into RSD mode. This seems not to be the case for you. Also, this message "Failed to boot 0x1000" is new to me, and so far seems only to have happened to ME860 users. I suspect fastboot gets the kernel (or something else?) loaded into memory at 0x1000, see:
Code:
000D173C .Unrecoverable bootloader error (
000D1760 [Fastboot]: Fastboot Entry
000D1784 Point ..Failed to boot 0x1000..LOG.
in bootloader CG from an extracted SBF. But... fails to boot kernel/microBoot? Hard to understand how a signed CG, which passed the check for your Boot ROM (same encryption keys) can have a kernel/? that does not boot on your hardware. Unless Moto has used similar keys with some hardware changes that means that .sbfs from international ROMs are not purely interchangeable? =(
And this is strange, since fastboot gives this error, so it is alive and in memory, should take some input: hopefully booting power-on + volume-down would be enough to get the menu of options, which includes RSD, same for booting power-on+volume-up key ? The inability to get into any fastboot / RSD menu looks like it could be a serious Moto bug... I hope whoever posted that SBF puts a huge WARNING for users of your model of phone...
I forgot to ask the 0x1000 people...
During any point during boot, does the device show up in usb? Command "watch -n .2 lsusb" in linux would do..
Thank bro…. I’ve try this way “As the devices is booting hold the volume up button”
But it is no use … the device is continue booting … again and again…
If it is work … at the top of the screen will show “strating RSD protocol ….”
But now my atrix didn’t show anything ..
And the screen won’t show any MOTO’s logo….
Does anyone can help me to save my atrix ?? > <
Please …
Look here,Please:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14673911
Again, do you ever see it appear on usb? In linux
# watch -n .1 lsusb
and keep your eyes open for Motorola PCS
That is your only hope... if we cannot even communicate with the phone via usb, well, it is pretty much a hard-brick.
Who made this [email protected]! Others are OK with it??

[Q] Motorola Razr Maxx downgrade Failed, where to go from here ?

Hello Xda users.
A n00b incoming -
I am working on a project - where I need the Motorola Razr maxx to use Android 2.3.X, because of some software issues, when I upgraded the phone to 4.0.4.
So I tried to downgrade ( I know alot of ppl - are saying it cant be done ) but I tried anyway - my team and I dont have the time til wait for a software upgrade because of the deadline for the project.
First I tried google and did use:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1586570&highlight=search+this+forum
to root the phone - didnt work.
Tryed to flash it with RSD = fail.
I did get it Rooted.
Then I tried too use
http://droidrazrroot.com/droid-razr...ted-droid-razr-back-to-android-2-3-66-12-173/
to flash it - but but it failed.
Now I got a screen with,
Invalid Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failed)
0A.6C
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is Locked. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
OK to program
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected.
Invalid CG OTV (CG: system); Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG Version(CG: system)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: system)
After I had google this, I understand I need to flash the phone with the rigth ROM,
Iam from Denmark and phone is bougth here.
I have tried all european ROMS from :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362956

[Q] Possible Hardware Problem? Extensive Details and Results. Please help!

I'll preface this with a "I might be missing something obvious, because I'm new to this". However, I've read and searched extensively and tried everything that I can find. Here's the details:
Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S08c (MFB date: Dec 2011)
Purchased used and bricked. Story goes that was playing Netflix and froze.
Now: hangs on boot on Acer logo. Vol- and Power load into Android robot logo, but will not load update.zip from SD card, and changes to dead Android robot logo with red exclamation mark.
Can boot into APX mode (reset+power 3 seconds – white power led – blank screen).
Can wipe cache (power+vol up+toggle lock switch).
Was able to get UID and SBK from Linux.
However that is where the good news ends. It gets stuck regardless of method I’ve tried. Below are the results from all the methods I’ve tried:
:good:Manual Flash with V8-UNL-ICS-HC-Bootloader-MULTI-cwm
Goes smoothly until in “Acer Iconia APX Mode” (on screen with yellow acer logo). Results:
Flashing bootloader: bootloader_v8.bin ...

[resume mode]
Formatting partition 4 please wait.. Command Execution failed cmd 13, error 0x12

And… nothing. The cursor continues to spin and hang here.

Upgrade is under way. It may take more than 10 minutes.
Tablet reboots and shows a white acer logo and Entering Acer Download Mode.
Acer Iconia Tab Software Upgrade Utility stops: We are sorry! The upgrade process failed. Pleaes follow the instructions for recovery.
I found this thread which sounds scarily familiar. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up after the issue was resolved to explain how this is done. As the memory chip is surface mounted – this isn’t likely to be a fix I can do.
[Q] totally bricked a500
I have a fully bricked Acer A500. It works only APX mode. It isn't rooted and there isn't USB debug...
I tried repartitioning with the Badblock (A501.bat) but it didn't work. I get an error message, when it tried to format the partition 2 (BCT): BCT write failed. After that I tried A500 APX flasher. It didn' work too. Same error in the debug window. After that I tried manually upload the bootloader, boot image, ...etc. The error message was same. (Downoad sucessfully. BCT write failed)
I tried to use the root-3.2.1-V4 DotNetDetecter.exe but the issue was same....
Of corse I have UID and SBK.
Does anybody have any idea?
I'm not understanding it!
solved
ISUE solved!
It was a hardware problem. The flash memory chip's solder was broken. I resoldered it. After that it works again!
So is there anything else to try, or is this a hardware issue?
If it is a hardware issue, any tips and tricks for dealing with Acer? How much should I expect a repair to cost?
Seems a shame you've provided all this gr8 info onky to be told that there is nothing uou can do....def a faulty chip sorry

Oh well... it was a learning experience. Went from no knowledge on android tablets, nor linux, to figuring out enough to do all the tests and get the ID from Linux in about 5 hours or so.
On the positive side, the tablet had never been registered before for Acer's warranty, and they have approved a return and warranty repair.
Yee-haw!
Yeh for sure, if you got yourself thru all that then you just about know all there is to know about your tab... it will come in handy once u get yr tab back

Great! You can get some pretty good deals on bricked tablets these days
Be surprised how many people don't register theirs when they get them. I bricked my 701 on the second day, but was lucky I registered it before I did something foolish!!!

Droid Razr M Stuck at AP Fastboot Flash mode Rooted

Well, hello everyone
I was hoping it would not come to this, but this is a dire emergency. I am sort of new to this as well.
My Droid Razr M or (xt907) was boring so I rooted it. After doing so I wanted to look through some settings and stuff to see what it could do. I tried to add partitions to my sd card along the line and when I did so I must have chosen the wrong place, even though it said SD and it did not crash when i did whatever it was. I was using an app to make partitions I forget the name, but when I did so it asked to restart and after it did it showed the AP fastboot Flash mode screen
this is what it shows exactly...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Device is LOCKED, Status Code: 0

Failed to hab check for gpt_main: 0x35
Failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35
failed to load GPT
CID Read Failure
Invalid CID status 0x69
No SP partition found
-----------------------------------------------
I have no clue what to do, and I really need my phone. I dont have any knowledge of android programing.
Someone please just help me.
Go general forum, house of moto , my post.
