The wol in my windows 7 works correctly but in windows 8.1 doesn't works. I have disabled the hybrid boot but still doesn't works. The solution for now is the hybernation, only when is in the hybernation state the wol works!
Have you a solution?

Nope, both S3 and S4 works fine with WOL for me, id hazard a guess at either a BIOS or a driver incompatibility, i say driver because if it doesn't go in to sleep state correctly it might not wake either.

Not sure if you fixed the problem already, but I had the same situation as you (working in 8, not working in 8.1)
The driver that 8.1 installed for my network card broke the WoL, so I just updated my card driver and it WoL is working.

Which version of android are you using??
I have the same problem! I have Android 2.3.7! I tried the cyanogen 7.2..........nFinity 1.14........and click-JoyOs release 1......... unfortunately on any of these rom tethering works! Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

I have cyanogen and tethering works flawlessly.
I was wrong! tethering has always worked,with all roms, but my galaxy S2 not find it!
I do not know 'why!
tablet with wifi tethering works without problems, but not with the galaxy S2! for tethering I used the application BARNACLE!

Hello to all guys ... reading the post I found that some users complained that the error came just attivavamo Wi-Fi. This problem is present on almost every Rom with kernel 2.35 (Zoe Rom,AOSP, etc. ..). The problem is very simple to solve ... you have to find an application that when it opens automatically activate the Wi-Fi! Now you you are wondering ... What application will automatically activate the Wi-Fi when it opens? I have always used WPA TESTER and have always solved this problem! When you turn on Wi-Fi and it leaves "Error" .. open WPA TESTER and Wi-Fi will automatically turn on and it will work perfectly (Tested on LG GT540 with Zoe Rom,AOSP, MIUI, OPENSWIFT, Utopia, SDSL 3)
PS:This program is used only for testing the security of your wireless XDA Developers .. me and we assume no liability for any misuse of this Application!

hello i just recently updated my android to 4.3 stock
but now touchcontrol doesnt work. i am told to put a other kernel on it.
My question to the touchcontrol users is how did you manage it with android 4.3.
any tips for which kernel you used and how i can flash other kernel to it.

I actually have the franco kernel r176 and touch control doesn't work on it. I don't really want to change kernel 'cause I buy the franco manager app...

Okey guys, i just had a clear moment in my head and realised i used touchcontrol before with stock rom.
this is how i manage to use touchcontrol now is: oke dont judge me over this option but i used the wugfresh method only the customrecovery + boot option.
be sure you have the adb driver on your xp, i also installed the pda.net drivers for a sec only to secure that it would connect with wugfreshtoolkit.
i also reset the computer before connecting.
it automaticly gets the custom recovery, and installed it parantly i wasnt installed good on my foon.
after that i opened touch control and choosed the button one of the list to download. it will reset your foon install the kernel and reboot back to normal.
now slide to unlock en slide to sleep is working again whoepieeee

Well thats what it said in the Changelog notes, Just reinstalling all my apps so will be able to test this in a bit.
Other then that the Nav and Softbars issue seems to be solved.
A OTA is better then no OTA, just remember if your rooted you'll lose the root and will need to reflash it back.
I'm aware of the problem of root. That's not a big deal as opposed to my sdcard being messed with big time. Hence, I'm still sticking with 4.3. That and app ops. Otherwise, I'm good to go.

4.3 is a Good build, but i am on 4.4.2-2.4 which other then the SD-Card which was fixed with a simple flashing of the SD-Card fix originally and the Soft/NavBar issue has been great. Even the Battery life is getting better each time i charge the Tablet up.
Just can not wait for the 4.4.3 OTA to release just to see what improvement there are for it.
But each to their own. i am just letting everyone on 4.4.2-2.3 that 2.4 OTA is out.
Edit: Now back to my Ubuntu Nvidia Development Virtual Machine!!

Only stock recovery can flas a OTA, So unless some on catches the OTA then converts it to CWM, its flash the stock recovery again
Installed, moved real racing over to sd card. Took seconds and ran no issues. Looks like the sd card fix is fixed wooohoooo

Only tried 1 game which worked a treat. Used AppMgr III to move everything off the tablet to SD card which has worked now reinstalling apps I had to remove due to lack off space before I try some more.

You have mentioned about the problem of Nav bar/soft keys. What was the problem, I never experienced any problem with nav bar/soft keys.
The NavBar SoftBar issue was that they disapeared completely after a reboot and apps on sdcard!
I can connect to password protected Samba on my network with Nexus5 and with LG D331 but I can not with Xiaomi Mi A1 either on Android 7.1.2 or updated to the newest Android Oreo. I'm using global edition of the phone. On internet I can't find reports about this problem. Can somebody confirm successful connection to WAP2 password protected Samba network either on Android 7.1.2 or 8.0.0?

what app are you using to connect to the share? I have no problems with accessing SMB shares on any build, it was more if the app supported the SMB protocols.

The same apps on the other phones (NEXUS 5, LG bello) can connect to SMB.

It seems that we do not understand each other. I have been on Nougat and I could not connect to WAP2 protected SMB so I updated to Oreo but still I can't connect to WAP2 protected SMB. So if someone can connect regardless of the app which connects I would appreciate information on which ROM it is possible.
What do you mean by wap2? Do you mean your WiFi network is wpa2 encrypted? That's independent of smb, if that is the case.
I mainly use file manager from Asus to connect to the share, but also es explorer and solid explorer, on all builds (nougat and Oreo). Videos will play using mx player over this protected share as well.
I am facing the same issue. I am unable to connect to SMB t5hrough my Mi A1 (tissot) but can through my Nexus 5 (hammerhead). Initally I thought it might be because the SMB v1 client has been deprecated on the latest release of Windows 10 (16299), but my Nexus 5 can still connect (I acquired my A1 recently) and my A1 cannot.

I have the same problem, my redmi note 5A with android 7.1.2 and MIUI global 9.2 has no problem using samba network, it can play video using vlc through samba connection but my mi a1 cannot, i try using another app but it's still can't, i thought it was only me, i've been searching solutions for days about this topic.

I do, try to switch on the airplane mode and then the wifi. It works with my mi A1 on oreo.
