[SOLVED] My Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 won't start

Hello everybody
My friend has a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and since yesterday it won't start. It shows "Samsung Galaxy Y young" and doesn't start. So I decided to try to root it and install Jellyblast v3 but it's the same problem. I followed a tutorial and tried to wipe cache and data but still the same problem. So now I read that the people who had the same problem as me, resolved their problem by flashing the stock rom with odin. But I saw that we needed some information like PDA, PHONE and CSC but I can't have these informations as the phone won't start So I am going to follow a tutorial to flash it with odin. But I'm worried about bricking definitely her phone :s So I want to know if there is no risk to brick her phone if I try to flash a stock rom without knowing these information (PDA PHONE CSC).

please look in my signature for easy flashguide,there is all info you need.its very newby friendly and believe me thats no problem,you just stuck on boot,its not so bad and easy to solve,you only need a uauable brain an eyes.i know u can do it.good luck

I downloaded a package and indeed there are 3 files into the zip. But these file are PDA / CSC / MODEM and in your guide you mention a PHONE file, is that the MODEM file ?

We managed to install a package but there are no french language in the one we installed. But we have these information now:
PDA: S5360DXKJ3
PHONE: S5360DXKJ1
CSC : S5360OLBKJ2
Could you tell me which package we must install to have the french language please ?

you installed cwm how?
there is only to types of cwm for galaxy y
1 - tempory cwm zip - flashed in stock recovery to give you cwm - this zip must be flashed each time you enter recovery to bring up cwm
2 - perminant cwm - this is included in a custom kernel and replaces stock kernel and stock recovery with a custom kernel and recovery
if you flashed a kernel state which one it was
to use odin
download odin 3.07
download and install samsung usb drivers
put phone in download mode by pressing vol down home button power button until download screen appears
connect phone to pc via usb cable
press vol up to begin connection
wait for drivers to install
open odin
on the left hand side it should say under com:id com then a number in a coloured box if connected
then put
pda in pda
modem in phone
csc in csc
then start

After i've tried to open my phone, its Stuck on the Logo "Samsung Galaxy Y young GT-S5360"
i've tried to wait of almost 10 minutes but my phone still Freeze,I've also tried to Access the Samsung Sytem recovery but it wont appear on my Screen

u phone got brick. please read previous post. u problem can be solved by use Odin.

You can flash stock rom without odin..but you need CWM

no you cant flash stock "firmware" without odin
if you flash a so called stock firmware via cwm all you are doing is flashing a custom rom with no modifications - slight technically difference

By keeping a Nandroid backup in sdcard and restoring with Cwm..

wouldnt work though if you changed your file system to ext to use cm7/9/cyanmobile/pa
you can only restore a nandroid backup fully if you restore it on the kernel on which it was made and you are on the same file system as it was made although you can advanced restore if on different kernel and should work if it can verify md5 sum

Don't understand the question sorry
Like I said - download the firmware from my firmware thread & follow all the instructions
Pda goes in pda
Modem goes in phone
CSC goes in csc
Please follow all instructions on my firmware thread - links in signature

Hy I install 4.4 GPE on my s4.But i don't like and i want to back on 4.3Touchwiz official.I download official firmware and flah with odin and when i turn on my phone he stuck on samsung logo and this is all please help me

Do u have CUSTOM Recovery installed? Ur phone is unbranded? Are u downloading the correct firmware for ur phone? Are u flashing it good with Odin? Ur S4 is a i9500 or i9505/6/7/8? Give us + info pls

yes just give us a few details.
did you also a full wipe done before you flashed the rom ?
this is very important because otherwise you do not have a clean system and so it is normal that the phone will not boot and you stay stuck in bootloop

AFAIK (never tested) Google Edition uses different bootloader, so you shall flash complete set, including that part as well...

All is working i don't wipe data and cache with cwm , when i wipe all he turned on thanks for help

If you don't know what you are doing my advice would be to
go to http://SamMobile.com and download the official kitkat
4.4.2 SM-900 firmware and flash it using Odin.
Be sure to do a full wipe including system, data, cache, dalvik
and last but not least a factory reset in twrp or cwm recovery
before you start the odin flash.
You will need to re-root your phone afterwards and install twrp
or cwm recovery. This is the surest way to resolve your network
and other issues.
This will give you a fresh clean start.

This will solve it.
Do you have twrp or cwm backup.
if not reflash VN rom 14.1 and you should get it back. secondly you can flash the modem attached.
1. wipe the device including internal memory in the twrp memory. put the phone in download mode. flash the modem via cwm rcovery
2. go back to recovery do just a factory reset.
3 now get any 4.4.2 stock rom for your region from sammobile and flash it using odin.
when the phone is rebooting and you see the Samsung logo pull the battery. put the battery back, go back to recovery do a factory reset. then let the boot complete.
it should be fine.

Hello, How do I reflash the vn? I am new to samsung phones? can you point me in the right direction? how do you do a cwn recovery? i already downloaded the firmware from my region and odin.

try to flash a new kernel might solve the problem

sorry didn't understand you I was answering the op.
if you flashed vn rom earlier you should just do it again. just make sure you do a factory reset , and dalvik wipe.
If you need further help just look in the vn-rom thread for flashing procedure. anyway

in the begining format my phone and enter to download mode and install official rom consist of four files {MODEM+CSC+BOOTLOADER+PDA}
after turn on my phone doing root CWM and install:_
1-for ur phone use terminal emulator,busy box,super su
2-for ur pc use EFS Professional ....turn on EFS Professional and choice EFS Professional and ok then let him connect with ur phone and automatic download efs ..just wait few second ur phone will be ok and same imei in the phone back

will try an let you know hope this works never tried efs professional. well did you have a backup with efs professional or it just worked by itself downloading some files from the internet

Plz help flashing gennxt s6 styled s5 rom

I recently tried to flash s6 styled s5 rom for grand 2 in stock rom DDUBOB1 but it did nothing, then i rooted my phone by cf root and again tried to flash the rom still nothing happned so plz somebody guide me how to flash rom or wat i m doing wrong . Thanks in advance

Kindly write all the details like what recovery you installed before trying to install the rom and all steps you did then I can tell what were you doing wrong

Firstly i downloaded the rom and placed it in my sd card that tym my phone was not rooted , then i booted into phone recovery and installed update from sd card after sometime my phone came back to recovery screen after that i rebooted my phone n i saw same old stock rom. Then i downloaded cf root for SM-G7102DDUBOB1 n flashed my phone by odin to get root access then again i repeted same step of flashing rom in recovery mode still nothing happned now i m back to my non roited stock rom flashed by odin

your problem is that you didnt flash any recovery like CWM or philz and stock samsung recovery wont work in flashing roms so what you need to do is download the recovery from here http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http://www56.zippyshare.com/v/FVQRYLIe/file.html&h=3AQFLol3m and flash it via odin and be sure to root your phone again if you have flashed stock rom from odin after rooting flash this recovery and try to flash the rom again and hope so your problem will be solved if i helped you then dont forget to click the thanks button

- you should be on kitkat stock rom.. the recommended firmware is NH6 and NK1 base
- root your phone
- then install recovery like cwm 6.0.5.1 or philz 6.49.0. you can find it on grand 2 thread easily
- after that install S6 styled S5 port. before install. make sure youdo this :
1. wipe data,cache, and dalvik. wipe dalvik can be find in advanced option
2. format system and boot in mount and storage option
3. then flash the rom
4. then aroma installer should be begin. there 2 option here
- wipe external sd card : this will wipe all your external sd card
- no wipe
if you dont want your data in ext gone.. dont choose wipe ext sd card !
instead use no wipe
5. oh yeah after that flash deds kernel v2.0 in kernel section of grand 2 thread. if you already download it. just flash it..
the reason flash deds kernel because it will fix the wifi and xposed installer issue
- and its finished. just reboot your phone now.. wait 5 minute and yay.. :laugh:

hmm maybe you should do this
- flash stock rom nk1 again and root it again
- after root your phone, reboot .and you will see supersu app. open it.then you will see knox bootloader. choose disable bootloader. then now it update binary from supersu. choose normal .dont use twrp/cwm option. reboot again. and now download busybox in play store. after that install the busybox
- then flash recovery.. and then see the instruction of flashing rom in my previous post
note : dont flash deds kernel v2.3e... it will brick your phone... flash deds kernel v2.0
please tell me if it works or not

I opened superu after reboot by it is showing nth in hw to disable bootloader

knox can be find in supersu .. when you already root it.. it will usually appear knox option.
but i doesnt matter .. it will not affect your device... are you already install busybox?. if you already install then see my previous post to flash recovery then flash rom

I flashed the rom just now and everything is perfect, except I keep on getting these 'com.process.google.gapps. Has stopped' and other Google stuff has stopped. It's really really annoying. Pls help meee anyoneeeeee. Overall the rom is great!

flash stock rom(odin) and reflash rom again(make backup of internal and wipe internal sd also)..ask in the respective rom thread.

On Kies it say my phone no recognise by Kies..
Phone already rooted and use Philz Touch Recovery, Phone system from another Prime Phone, but Cannot Turn On Wifi and Erorr to open Camera..

If there have another way to fix it please tell me..

if U see 530H-DV u got to download HXCU...ROMs
If U see 530H-DS U got to download HXX... ROMs
Try them

Edit : Finaly sucses flash Grand prime ..
Just Forgot to check Full nand erase on Odin when odin fail before, i am using Emirate Firmware and work like a charm...
