can i install a S5360 rom on S5360L?
As far as I know yes you can as long as the kernel you are using supports the L version
as of my experience, yes you can flash it. as long as the rom has no prerequisites for what Baseband version you will use.
It will still function but may cause you to encounter some bugs i guess..

Hi guys ,
I am very sorry if there is a thread already
I have Galaxy I5801(apollo) with 2.1 stock . I have been seeing custom rom also and they are very good looking .
i liked Kyrillos' ROM v3.0 final version screenshot and i think it is stable one :S .
So i wanted to know is there possible that i can backup this 2.1 so that whenever i get any problem with mobile . i can restore it to stock again before giving it to service centre .
now being newbie i have few question
1. what is this lagfix or superlagfix. i can't seams to understand it . Will it reduce lag while browsing contacts ?
2. i need ODIN for flashing right ?
3. what is this JPM or JPF
4. is there way i can remove that GPSfix from custom rom as my GPS get lock within 10-15sec means it working
any other thing i need to know before i start .
or
should i wait for i5801 official 2.2
please expert share your knowledge and teach this newbie
Hey man yes u need odin to flash the custom rom i myself am using kyrillos v 2.1 . U need to really read the procedure of.custom rom flashing. Be careful not.to brick ur phone. Kyrillos hom self has put up some tutprial in his post. Nd yea abt lag fix, jpm,jpf.etc.etc.jst google it up man. Xda itself has a lot of info jst search. Okay now if any time u want to restore ur stock rom u can always flash it. And stock rom is available for download. Try samfirmware site
Sent from my GT-I5801 using XDA App
And for heavens sake don't wait for the update from Samsung its not gonna happen in the near future. Any way a custom deodexed, ext2, clean roms r yummm . Kyrillos roms r pretty fast im jst waiting for the final stable version 3.0 of his rom

Go for a reflash.. Don't wait for official update. Check your ROM name in settings, then flash. If you will have some problems with you phone, you can always reflash your old ROM. I think the majority of original ROMs are on samfirmware. Check there...
but i can't find asian rom of I5801
What have you in Settings -> About phone -> Build number?
Eclair.ddjg6
Here look for ROM with that name. It's there in the list of roms.
I5801DDJG6 for I5800 ASIA (July 2010).

Do I still need to 'lagfix' my i5800 if I'm on Kyrillos 3.0 beta2 Normal version (and planning to flash final version as soon as it is released)?
I got confused with all that info in thread regarding Kyrillos' rom.
There is a link to MOTAFOCA under Normal version description, but since beta2 converts partitions to ext4 what would be the point in converting them to ext2? Or I just miss something?
I got only 331 in Quadrant on brand new and clean Kyrillos 3.0 beta2 and I saw some posts about 500+.
hi,iam new to this thread,i want to upgrad my samsung galaxy to latest version,so is it possible to upgrade?if it is means pls guide me to upgrade my mobile
Gingerbread is the latest android version available for duos
You can check sammobile.com/firmwares to check latest stock rom baseband versions for your region
Custom Gingerbread roms and cm7 roms will be in dev section - read them for me details about rom features
Or simply update it from your phone if you are having internet on it.
Go to Settings
Scroll down to About Phone (last option)
then software update.
Now it will download the update & will ask to install it.
Your phone should be charged at least 30% for this.

galaxy y dous is an low end device, I cant run temple run and zombie run smoothly, but you can make a little smoother by installing chainfire

It is not possible like I told you - duos only supports Gingerbread! There is no jellybean for duos!
That means only 2.3.6 stock based or 2.3.7 cm7 based are available
There is no 4.0+ available
There is cm9 available for GT-S5300 but it only boots nothing else works
There will be no working cm9 because the drivers for this phone have not & will not be released
If you want to play mentioned games properly buy a phone with at least ics and an armv7 processor
(Galaxy y is armv6 and not suitable for hd games)
you can't samsung has give up on development of y duos the development we have is xda :good:
hello guys, I'm trying to flash slim kernel. This is the link im using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488233, It seems like I'm flashing the right version, when I flash with twrp it finishes in less than a second. And when it reboots the screen is just black with the keys lighting up. Any solutions guys? Currently on c rom
I believe you meant Lean Kernel and you are using official C-RoM v7.1.
In this case, you must use version 3.1 of Lean Kernel. Newer versions are not compatible witb this rom.
Awesome thanks man I'll give it a try, so would I flash the c Rom again then the kernel?
Just the kernel
Is there any hope on getting a custom rom for my SM-G900H? The device is laggy and overheating a lot, and it's not near as fast as my old phone (iPhone 5). Is there any way on installing CM on this version? Because I think most of the trouble comes from the TouchWiz interface.
thanks a lot guys
There is no CM Rom available for our G900H model.
Now you can use XtreStoLite or MIUI Rom for now..
Well as you describe you have problem try to
1.wipe data and reinstall data from scratch
2.install latest firmwares
3.since you have no problem rooting ... try stock rom with custom kernel... i guest it is the best solution

Thanks man! Now i am using the XtreStoLite and it is way better than the stock TouchWiz. Is there any other ROM besides those two that I can use on the G900H?
Is there any stock based custom rom which is stable n bug free... i prefer rom which is full stock based with no extra features but with all the features which stock rom has and fully de-bloated and de-odex... has all the sensors and functions working properly ..
i am a working person and need something for daily driver...
I know asking for stable rom is not good thing in forum.. but please guys try to understand my position i doesn't have a good bandwidth and downloading all custom roms is really pain for me..
i have tried omega v 28.. it had android upgrading on reboot bug and root issue,,
i tried arurora s6 port but it has proximity issue...
plz recommend me stable n bug free custom rom...
