Howdy ho
I'm specifically trying to install and use Barclays mobile banking and it won't run...cause I'm rooted
Any ways around it such as hiding the root from the app?
Thank You

It is just a warning... doesn't stop you from using it.
you can always down "OTA root Keeper" , give it root permission, click protect root and then when using wallet or google movie click temporary unroot until you're done using them, after that click restore root.
I use my tablet mainly for netflix, fb, games and microsoft word but one day I tried opening Trickster Mod and it said i didnt have root. It was so weird because I did root my tablet but it just disappeared. I was wondering if I should start from the beginning or if theres a way to get my root back?

Download root checker from the play store and verify if it has root.

no need to start at the beginning, you should be able to just root it the same way you did before after unlocking your boatloader

I checked and I no longer have root. Does this mean I lost my ROM too?and kernel?

If you lost your ROM... You would be staring at the Google logo. To root, open up your superuser app (or download from play store) and update su binary from the app. If that doesn't work, you can grab a flashable zip of SuperSU.

If your bootloader and tablet is already unlocked then rerooting should be a breeze. Just use whichever toolkit you previously unlocked it with and get that root back in it. Then install busybox from playstore and check SuperSu the app to see if your permissions are okay.
I want to use certain apps like Sky Go and Barclays Banking but they only work on unrooted devices.
Before on 4.2.2 I could use Voodoo Rootkeeper to hide it, which was great.
However, that is incompatible with 4.3.

I had similar issues on N7100 (Note 2) and the way round a rooted note 2 accessing Barclays (root detector) was installing an older version of Barclays app, in essence the app looks for SuperSU or Superuser app I believe.

How about freezing or uninstalling SuperSU? Would that work?

Would cause issues I think, If the app looks for SuperSU or Superuser then it will still find it. You could always just run clean up and unroot then re-root I guess - But it depends on if you wanna re-root again or if you have 0x0 vs 0x1 etc -
I have 0x1, and I'd be willing to clean up but I guess I need computer to re-root?

Yeah PC ODIN, not too sure if mobile odin would work though(?)
Hmm, would be great if it did! However, doesn't mobile odin require root to work?

Actually not 100% sure, never thought about that or used it myself. *goes to check*
EDIT: Yip needs root
Downloaded an app called hide my root then downloaded Isis. Installed both. I am running venom btw. In hide my root I chose hide su binary then set up Isis and got my $50 card. Then went into hide my root and restored my su binary, opened up Isis and no issues. Just thought I'd let anyone know who wants they're $50. I'm unlocked and rooted.

The xposed module root cloak works great also. No need to really do anything other then install and enable.

Root cloak works great and allows you to pick a specific app. Thanks for posting.

On my note 4 n910f I'm running simple rom and I want to hide my root access for skysports. Now I've used rootcloak and skysports just force closes everytime I open it. Any help?
Bump
There's an xposed app called root cloak that works on some apps, not sure about skysports though. On virgin media someone modded the app to hide root detection other than that you may have to unroot then retook which is a pain
