N10 to Vizio Soundbat ... USB Audio out maybe? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Heya Folks. I have a question. And I have searched but I'm getting stumped. I have a rooted N10 running JB 4.3. I also have a Vizio sb4021m-a1 soundbar. Now what I invision is A using that USB port to charge and being able to play music while cleaning and such.
Anyone have any ideas how to do this? I searched and searched and just keep coming up with things that involve other devices ie tabs and phones or needing a diff kernal. Any help would be great.

Dualshock 3 refuses to work via OTG

Morning.
Last week or so I've been trying to get my PS3 Dualshock 3 Sixaxis controller working with my Nexus 7 via the Micro USB port, and I'm about to give up completely.
I've googled enough to make my head spin, so this is pretty much my last hope for a solution. I've tried with 4.1.1, 4.1.2 & 4.2.2.
I've mailed the developers of the apps mentioned below, but have yet to recieve any response. This was done more than just 1-2 days ago.
I've tried with & without rooting.
The controller works fine when connecting it to my computer & Transformer Prime. It's been close to fully charged all the time.
The Gameklip cable & the OTG-cable works. I can access HDD's, flashdrives & even the SD-card on my PSP.
While using the OTG-cable, I've tried with different USB - Mini USB cables.
Sixaxis Controller using Bluetooth works fine, not a single problem there. I can also add my Nexus 7's MAC-address to the controller via the app without any trouble.
USB/BT Joystick Center 8 finds the controller, but refuses to accept any input from it. The same developer has released a joystick analyzer, and it recognizes the correct vendor & product ID of the controller.
The keylayout file exists & is correctly mapped in my usr/keylayout directory. I've also tried using the Transformers keylayout on the Nexus 7.
And here's the kicker, the spare Gamestop Xbox 360 controller I've got laying around works without a problem. Which almost led to me frisbeeing this ****ing thing out the window. And even though it works, it's not a viable alternative for me since it doesn't fit in the Gameklip.
At this point I'm up for crazy ideas, so any help, no matter how far out there, is appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read through this, and if you have any ideas that might help, thanks in advance!

Sorry for the thread resurrection here but I have searched high and low on the internet and this is the only thing that I find that comes close to the same exact problem I am having. The only difference is I have a galaxy s3 running cyanogenmod 10.2. Same issue on 10.1. I can get a wired 360 controller to work just fine and even a Wii classic controller with a USB adapter to work. No Dualshock 3 though. You ever able to fix this?

[Q] Slimport issues...

Hello all!
A few weeks ago I purchased the startech slimport cable/adapter. My original goal for purchasing it was to be able to better test an hdtv I was in the market for. Turns out when I was ready to go shopping I didn't have the cable with me so I wasn't able to test use it. Fastforward a week or two and I finally get to try it. It didn't work. At the time my Nexus was running on Droyd's kitkat rom (along with the kernel that came with it). I think nothing at all would happen whenever I would plug it in. I did some reading/research and saw that people were mentionning having problems with Slimport, especially when using new versions of custom roms. People were mentionning having issues with the earlier releases of CM but that it was later fixed. I then decided to flash CM 10.1.3-mako stable from sept 23rd but Slimport still doesn't work. I noticed though that my phone now gets rotation locked to landscape whenever I plug the Slimport/HDMI cable into it but I still get the no signal message on my TV. I've read some people mention that they've had issues when they were using a cable that is not HDMI 1.4 (I'm not sure if my cable is, I got it at the dollar store). Have other people had the same issue? Has anybody gotten Slimport to work with this version of CM? Can anybody confirm me a custom ROM with which they've had success using slimport? I tried looking in the slimport review thread but it has gotten so big and I don't really have the time to read all of it.
Thanks!
Nvm, I got it to work. My first cable was a 6ft cable and I now purchased a 3ft one. It now works perfectly!

Nexus player won't detect on Yamaha receiver

Hello All,
I bought a nexus player hoping to setup Kodi and watch through BenQ projector and Yamaha V667 receiver but have run into issues. I apologize if this has been asked and answered before but could not find anything that helped.
When i connect my nexus player to HDMI port (tried different ports and cables) if wont detect it and Benq keeps saying Source searching. Using the same ports in the receiver, i am able to connect Roku, Blu ray player as well as my laptop. If i connect NP directly to HDMI port in BenQ projector it works as well.
Can anyone please help in resolving this issue for me...really appreciate any help i can get.
Update 1: So i did one last test that i forgot to do earlier. I played a video and then tried to play around with switching HDMI ports. So it seems like that that audio is passing through receiver just fine, but no picture. Anyone know why yamaha won't show picture ...i read that earlier (last year) there was an issue but read reports that they were fixed. Any thoughts ???
Please close this thread, i found the solution. Had to update firmware on my receiver.

Tv box rom for i9505

Hello, im wondering if anyone can point me in a direction of what I would like to do.
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 with broken touch which is currently set up with custom rom and root and various apks, pkugged in to my tv in the bedroom via mhl. This works extremely well as is a quad core phone I get much better performance than I do with the Amazon fire stick.
Now the apps ive used along with the custom rom basically put the screen to sleep and allow me to watch Netflix/Kodi very well, without any battery drain.
Im using various apps to control this and alter screen orientation when needed, using a fire tv Bluetooth controller.
Now this set up doesnt come without problems, which ill not go into in length but point out the main issues id either like to be fixed or gone with a different rom.
First, is there any android tv box/stick rom that is compatable with i9505? Even like a fire tv port or similar?
If not is there any way I can get the TV type apps to recognise fully the Bluetooth fire tv remote im using?
Is there anyway to make the apps im using run as if they were on an android tv box/stick?
I realise this is quite a strange setup/request but id like to know if anyone has any ideas on the topic.
1 thing to know, the rom im using has power options to draw more ma while plugged into mhl (700ma), this stops the battery drain.
Thanks for any pointers/advice in advance.

Xbox One Controller Issues

Hey guys, this is a bit specific but it could really help me out so if you can answer, please do. I'm trying to connect an Xbox One controller through Bluetooth, but I keep getting an incorrect pin error and therefore can't connect at all. It seems a firmware update for the controller broke connections for a lot of phones, but it also still works for many. I'm running stock nougat with the vegito kernel and I'm wondering if it works with either a different kernel or a different rom. If you have the controller and could test it out, I'd really appreciate it. Alternatively, if you somehow know of a way to get it working through other means, that'll also be a huge help.
Thanks in advance
