4.2.1 update from 4.1.1 rooted

I'm running 4.1.1 with aokp v4. I'm wanting to update to the latest version of android and be rooted. The slim bean rom caught my interest and found these steps:

My question is, do I need to update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 then to 4.2 AND then to 4.2.1 to get this ROM running?
Thanks

[Q] Stock 4.3 nexus 4 custom rim

Is there a way to install PACman or any other custom ROM on my nexus 4? My device currently has the new android update, 4.3.
Don't know when PACman ROM was last updated, but there's a few 4.3 ROMs you can flash now...

you can install any 4.3 rom you would like, as long as it is for your device.

[Q] Restoring apps when upgrading Android Version

I'm currently using the Liquid Smooth Rom 2.10 Android version 4.3 jellybean and I've been meaning to upgrade to kitkat for awhile now. I've tried upgrading to kitkat with the newest CyanogenMod rom but I can't restore any of my apps with Titanium backup. How do I restore apps so I don't have to restart in games and lose my data?
some apps cannot be restored from 4.3 to 4.4

Alternative kernel for Paranoid Android 4.4.4

I am looking for an alternative kernel for Paranoid Android. The stock kernel I am using I suspect is causing the problem where I cannot hear the other end and they cannot hear me either.
I was flashed to cyanogen mod 11 before I tried Paranoid Android, thinking that it will fix my phone problem.
I am confused by all the kernels and roms that are available so I'm looking for guidance on finding a compatible one for me.

Hi, there is a few kernels available. Kt kernel and faux123 come to mind. Make sure that you choose the aosp variant if you are on Paranoid Android and the right version of Android 4.3 vs 4.4. Clear Dalvik and cache in recovery after you install the kernel and allow a couple of days for the kernel to settle.
